As odd as it is, if I remember right some of the guidelines were announced first on Twitter prior to announcing during his press conferences.
Yeah, but those were not such high profile situations. It was routine stuff.

Wonder if local officials are tightening up because state officials are coming to town?...We were there about a month ago, and I didn't feel like the stores were crowded. I thought it was really easy to keep well over 6 feet from other people. I think it is strange that they felt they had to reduce it more.
No common speculation. DLR will not announce ANYTHING until the governor gives theme park guidelines. Which will happen nobody knows when.Is it common speculation that maybe DLR May announce (if they will at all before November) a reopening date later this week? Or will the earliest announcement be late this month because they will at least need to stand by and wait to see if there are any spikes? I am so ready to return, masks and all.
As was already mentioned the Purple Level reduced capacity limits inside stores. But then again anything is possible.Wonder if local officials are tightening up because state officials are coming to town?..

There were also many CM’s out and about furiously typing on phones. So they are for sure keeping a watch on everything. I mean they always have but they are making sure there is minimal room for error, especially since this weekend has been so busy.As was already mentioned the Purple Level reduced capacity limits inside stores. Like I said anything is possible. I wouldn't be surprised that California Execs come to DTD to see what kind of modifications Disney has made and how they enforce it as part of the process of putting together and approving guidance. There were also many CM’s out and about furiously typing on phones. At first the whole wait and see thing wasn’t so bad, but I find it odd the guidelines haven’t been released yet/outlined. Releasing guidelines/sharing those guidelines does not mean that theme parks must open immediately after. Ie: Newsom could easily say that they are not allowed to open until a certain threshold is met, and once that happens, here are the guidelines you must adhere to. I can’t see why this hasn’t already been dealt with. Or maybe it has and it keeps getting shelved because it’s not a priority for the gov right now. I mean, if anything, FL theme parks have handed them a blueprint of where to start; a blueprint on how to reopen safely. No common speculation. DLR will not announce ANYTHING until the governor gives theme park guidelines. Which will happen nobody knows when.
Should be interesting. All hotel guests have to pass through DTD to access DLR so cutting that off would prevent them from accessing parks which leave folks furious.I wonder how crowds will be handled in DTD once the parks and hotels do reopen. Will onsite guests or those with valid tickets have some sort of priority? It would be pretty disappointing to be staying at GCH but be blocked from DTD...
Sucks but I understand. They know holidays are a big draw so they probably don’t want to cause more people to come based on decorations alone. The evenings during Christmas can be so packed because people come for the lights fireworks and shows.WDW finally released their holiday info. No holiday party or candlelit processional which isn’t surprising. They are decorating but sounds minimal- no castle lights. Don’t think that bodes well for Disneyland decor/themes- like it’s a small world holiday/HM overlay/castle lights.
Actually I think the decorating sounds like a lot. No lights on the Castle (idk how long it takes to light our Castle but remember theirs is a MUCH bigger project) and no Gingerbread Houses in hotel lobbies but sounds like everything else is a go.WDW finally released their holiday info. Good to know. Still makes me worried for DL. If they get the ok to open at the end of the month, I doubt they’ll do any Halloween decorations But hopefully they do put up Christmas stuff.Actually I think the decorating sounds like a lot. They do not have an equivalent of our holiday ride overlays so I see no conclusions to draw there.
