If you get more value from the annual free night than you pay in the AF. I find it useful to have each year and have had good redemptions. Most keep it for the free night not for spend.
Thanks. This year has been interesting. I've not gotten the value I expected. Might be worth keeping one more year just to see.

My DH tried as well. He had one in his cart and received an order number, but the credit card never processed. He hit the refresh button many, many, many times. He also called and sat on hold for a long time, but I think finally hung up. He would love one for Christmas, so let us know if you see any more. I am not plugged in at all for these systems!
Today at 5pm est, Playstation Direct had units for sale. They had a virtual queue, and they ran out in ~60-90 minutes. When they ran out, they said they would have more tomorrow, but now their website doesn't say anything. You could try watching their site.

For those of us with Boardwalk points, last years dues were 7.36.

This year looks like $6.44. I think. The print is so small and I can't see it well on the mailing I got yesterday, so forgive me if I'm wrong.

Okay - guess I'm really wrong. I'm reading a DVC article on the DVC boards that says 7.81.

SUPPORT LINK THREADS ANNOUNCEMENT: Please check your links for accuracy. I noticed earlier today that Amex seemed to kill a large swath of links (I had some that were dead that I had just updated in the last week or so). With that in mind I did a review of all links and will tag people below who might want to take a look. I don't want people to miss out on a click because they have dead links, and I also don't want to discourage somebody trying to use a link because everything they click is dead.

No need to report back to me that things are updated. I'll probably just do another review in a week or so and then reach out individually to people who still need to update their links.

CHASE
On Chase, I'll tag you if you have a link that's expired or offer details that don't match:
@GZanta77, @Calfan, @marsh0013, @mhartman09, @vanjust14

AMERICAN EXPRESS:
On American Express, I'll tag you if you have a link that's expired, offer details that don't match, or possibly a link that points to the wrong landing page. As you're aware, Amex links can be a little more finicky so I'd advise just checking all of your links and trying to be as accurate possible with the ones you choose to list. If an offer is limited time OR a YMMV type of offer be sure to include that in your write-up:
@marsh0013, @afan, @Maine_Belle, @snugglebug @GZanta77, @miztressuz, @havaneselover, @happ, @Calfan, @mmmears, @jimitrout, @vanjust14, @wendow, @becauseimnew

EDIT: Even if you aren't listed above, you might want to check and make sure everything with your links are accurate. I only did a quick check and could've easily missed something!

Sorry! I was in Disney and wasn't checking Disboards. If you haven’t already deleted mine, I’ll make sure to update these today.

Flying to fort Myers to spend a week with my parents. Need to tell my mom we are skipping our post Christmas visit. Just not comfortable with taking chances (not so much for me and the kids). Rebooking my sw tickets for Easter. I hope she understands.

No retention offer on my rose gold so it’s getting cancelled today.

I think it is almost time for a business platinum.

DVC members?
Dues are around the corner -
What is the best strategy to pay?
Gift cards? Disney card? Something else?
Thanks.

Our dues are in the neighborhood of $10k a year so we employ a few different strategies. We use the Ink Plus (no longer available but Ink Cash would be a close equivalent) to purchase Disney GCs at office supply stores for 5x UR Points per dollar.

I will take advantage of Amex Offers that allow me to buy Disney GCs at 10% off. Last month I purchased $1,000 in Disney GCs at a gas station with my BonBlah Brilliant card. I had an Amex offer for 10x at gas stations and one for spend $1,000 to get a $100 statement credit.

I will also use part of the dues payment to hit MSR on a new credit card. Usually by purchasing discounted Disney GCs via Sam’s or BJs.

Thanks for posting. I just came to see if anyone else got a Barclays email.
I got the following offer
View attachment 538275I wanted to make sure there was no catch I was missing before I shift my Xmas spending to that card.

DW got a similar offer on her JetBlue plus card. Additional 10x points on the first $1000 spent each month until end January. So thats effectively 12x points on restaurants and grocery. :thumbsup2

DH's Hyatt card has an AF this month. Is there any reason to keep it?

It depends on if you value the card benefits and if they outweigh the AF. DH and I both went under 5/24 after being at LOL/24 for over 7 years just to get the Hyatt card. The FN certificates alone were worth it for us. Now with travel being what it is, Hyatt’s current promotions and our current plans it is even more valuable.

They have extended the expire date on the certs so if you hadn't used the one you got this year, unless this is your 1st anniversary, it should be good for a bit. Mines good til May and hasn't been extended but I'm still hopeful that they will. I think they have through Feb.

Oh no... details please. How much did you try to load per swipe? Was it at the Money Center or Cash Register?
I still have 1 $200 VGC that I was going to use to pay my electric bill but I might just have to do another test load before I go buy more. I was going to switch my MS card to my Aviator Red since I just got this:

I was trying $400 at the money center. I ask to do $400 but in $200 chunks. When I swipe the first card, an error comes up. Then I tried the other card. Today I might just have to hit FD/DG and be done with this. I'm off to see if I got any offer from Barclay. That will throw a wrench into my $5k Bonvoy spend. UGH!

Someone above mentioned the XBox. My BIL just asked me to hunt for the Series X for my nephew's Christmas gift. Any tips for trying to find one?

My recent CFF and Bonvoy cards MSR are already met. Since I was lucky enough to get the 2 Chase cards within 30 days back in Sept/Oct, I don't want to push my luck with any new cards just yet. I'll wait until after the first of the year and see what bonuses might be available. However, I am thinking about upping my earning potential by using parents as P2 and P3 (with their permission and cooperation of course). Is that a bad idea?

You can ask for in stock notifications. I heard there should be more available around Black Friday.

Has anyone ever done the citi bank bonus? I got an email about it. I have had a citi card for a very long time - it’s actually my oldest card, but never a bank account with them.

I did the $400 bonus for $15,000 deposit this year. Worked fine.

After I had it opened long enough to get the bonus, I transferred the funds to their higher yield savings account (accelerate?) but closed it later as I have been having some other issues with Citi. Even though they let me transfer $15,000+ into the savings, they have daily and monthly limits on how much you can withdraw, which makes me very angry! I also have an American Express high yield savings and they let me transfer any amount I want. Don't get between me & my money!
