I don't know the appropriate forum for this question so here goes... we have been to Disney a few times but never in the winter. For those with first hand experience, how is the weather around Xmas? We arrive Xmas eve, and are trying to figure out what we will need as far as packing. I am also trying to order a Disney Xmas shirt but no idea if I should get a t-shirt, long sleeve, or hoodie. LOL

Thank you!!

Average highs for Disney World around Xmas is the low 60's. But, be prepared for a variety. Pack a few warmer things just in case.

It can be very hot. It can be very cold. You have to be prepared for anything. Layers are your friend. Pack shorts, pack gloves and hats.

all of the above
Seriously there's no telling, we may be cold, in the 40s or 50s (I know cold for Floridians), mild or hot. There's been a couple of Christmas celebrations we were all in shorts and short sleeves cause it was 90. It is very unpredictable and you will know maybe a week out

One year we had near freezing temps (1 degree Celsius, not sure Fahrenheit conversion). The following year it was warm, verging on hot (low to mid 80s).

Sometimes it is hot, sometimes it is cold. Cant say for sure as it is very unpredictable, just have to be ready for anything. Have had times where is was in the 80s one day, then 60s the next day.
^^^^^^This. We've been able to swim in December, and we've worn winter jackets at night. Definitely bring multiple options of clothing.

LOL - Ok, so we need to plan on bringing more suitcases. Thank you all! Sounds like I need to plan on layering. :)
The above answers are correct. We've been there and its in the 70s and been swimming. We've worn a winter jacket with it in the 30s.
Watch the weather, but pack for a variety.

Our first Christmas trip - it was in the 90's and we swam on Christmas Day. Last year at Christmas is was rainy, cold, and the breeze made it even colder! Florida 50's and 60's are colder than you might think! Heehee!

About a week before you trip, start watching the weather forecast. You can then adjust your packing based on those numbers. By that time, the forecasts are usually somewhat close.

it could be sunny and 80, or cold windy rainy 40. You wont know for sure until about 3 days out. Any weather forecast longer then 3 days out in florida is just using averages for that time of year.

Because of the gulf on the west and the atlantic on the east, weather is very unpredictable.

For the most part, in the last 10 years I have been able to wear shorts. Not saying what will happen this year because...well...this 2020. Have a wonderful safe trip.

You really need something like a crystal ball since even the best forecast isn't very reliable. We've been living down here for fifteen years and have gone swimming on Christmas Day and have had to bundle up the very next day. One year we were at the Studios to see the Osbourne lights and it was so cold I wasn't sure if the snow was real or what they blew in from the rooftop machines. The weather forecast might get you in the ballpark, but we really don't know until we step outside.

Plan on layering. One year, they broke the record for heat and we were swimming at 10pm. Other years, jackets and mittens.

Start looking at the 15 day forecast two weeks for your trip and make sure you have clothes for 5-10 degrees colder than the low and clothes for 5-10 degrees warmer than the high. Always bring a rain jacket and bathing suit. Don't overthink it.
