That's my thinking too, waiting on a possible email from Virgin soon - how disappointing

Yep they changed one of my flights 2 days ago. But TUI have also cancelled a lot of European flights also, maybe its just TUI. Although I still don't thin the US will open up in time anyway.

Just noticed are you getting married there in October?

We are or were supposed to might be the better term? We still have everything booked and had until the end of August to cancel the wedding and villa to get all monies fully refunded so I'll still hold out the tiniest bit of hope we get a good update about the borders until then although I just can't see it happening personally.
There are worse things in life but jeez, it sucks especially as it'll be the third time we've had to cancel although this time I'm not rescheduling so will book everything again from scratch once it looks a little more certain.

Still sucks :(

I know what you mean this was our 4th attempt we were due May 20, then Dec 20, then May 21 now Oct 21 may be a while now as im being made redundant, possibly cant justify £12k next year but who knows. I will keep hoping and hope that whenever you go you get a truly magical wedding :)

Thank you and you too. The cost just keeps going up and I think can I justify it myself 😞
I'm sure it'll work out for us both soon but I just can't handle the stress of not knowing so maybe it would be for the best if virgin cancel soon then I can begin the process once covid is hopefully under control a little more and requirements just to get out there aren't as confusing or expensive 😉

Yeah agree its the not knowing that's the issue, my kids will be gutted but they've been gutted 3 times already.

I was quite positive this time around thought October yeah looking good :) who knows, like you said the issue will be as soon as they open the borders Virgin prices will go through the roof. I know the holiday we have booked now is £4k more expensive next year same dates.

As far as I know, there’s been no official announcement. does anyone know why TUI are cancelling holidays so far in advance?

I suppose a lot could happen in 2 months, but I'm wondering if I'll actually want to risk going to WDW this October.
The various bits of news the last few days - Florida's continuing rise in rates and Delta's ability to infect vaccinated people - are a worry.
It's not getting sick that is a concern, for me, it's the increasing risk that a test for returning to the UK might come back positive and then the holiday ends in a quarantine hotel, plus a lot of extra cost, time and aggravation.

Yeah I know what your saying, everything is just an uncertainty and a worry. I really want to go but won't if I feel the risk is too high even if the borders open.

Apparently they have changed their mind and it shows up to the 31st August again at present 🙄
Thats the list I had earlier but then that changed and has now changed back, lets hope they haven't actually cancelled those peoples holidays by mistake.

Not sure if I can post a link if not please remove.
