Official 2021 Disney Very Merriest After Hours Thread

My daughter and I are going to try something crazy. We are from Minnesota. We found airfare for 132 round trip. Booked All star movies for Nov. 9. Going to try to get tickets for party that night. We would arrive at noon on party night. Take ME to resort. Go to party. Sleep, and fly home onthe 10th, plane leaves at 3. We have booked the room. Can cancel if it does not workout. I think we can try for tickets on the 17th since we are staying on property. Please correct me if Im wrong. If we get our tickets we will book our airfare. Sure hope it all works out! Wish us luck!
I can’t answer your questions, but I’m reading your post thinking “OMG! This sounds awesome!” Good luck and have fun!

Is this the full list for the season, or is there a possibility of them adding more?
We’re coming in on the 23rd and I’m sad that I might not be able to catch an MK after hours party in the week we’ll be there.
Do they do anything special on Christmas Day?

Couple of Questions... typically Disney will carry the parade etc into Christmas week for free which is why there isn't a party after like in this case the 21st... will that still be happening?

Is 249 a ticket worth it if you cannot stay the whole time? I am thinking no. I am really sad that I cannot take my daughter to the party because we cannot hang until 1am (and actually later) because we won't until back until 2 or 3am... that would throw us off way too much.

I am really hoping some of these AH things like the parade will be done Christmas week during actual daylight hours. It makes me wonder what Disney was thinking, children would obviously enjoy this too but unless we keep them up to all hours of the morning they cannot... I personally cannot do that to my daughter, so instead she misses out.

Just put the phone number in my contacts. What website would be the fastest to order tickets online? My daughter and I will each have a phone and I-pad at the ready at 6am Tues morning!

We were arriving on the 20th December so could only go on the 21st. $1000 + tax for our family of four for four hours is criminal (IMO) This is the straw that has broken the camels back.I’m afraid we’re spending Christmas elsewhere now😞
They never run later. The parks get too busy to close early enough.

Just asked question in the chat on website and said can’t book online until 20th. I don’t understand why you can’t simply book online and they force everyone to be on hold for hours to simply buy a ticket.

OK - I finally spoke with guest services, and the CM said that they received information which specifically stated that early purchases by resort guests could be made either online or by phone, just like the general public later on the 20th. I asked her a couple of times to be sure I understood, and she said they actually received two notes on this, one concerning early sales for resort guests as of 8/17 and another for sales to the general public beginning 8/20. She did not know what time for online. Please don't rely solely on this, however. I plan to try both methods on Tuesday.

(Edited to correct one date)

Where would I find the option online to purchase the Xmas party tix? Is it under the upcoming events?

Seems to be a lot of conflicting info on whether online ticket purchases will be available on the 17th, and where one would find that. Is it true that the phone option begins at 6:00 am? Ugh

I didn't receive an email either and we are staying online, but the cast member I chatted with said to just log into My Disney Account and purchase them under the special events tickets. She said you can purchase either online or call on the morning of the 17th. Hoping the online part is true :-)

Is attending the party the only way to see the toy soldiers prior to the week of Christmas? Love them and can not spend $400 for my husband and me to see them. Hoping another sighting is possible.

Thanks in advance.

Agree

I work early mornings. So plan to log in right away when I get to work on Tuesday and try to buy the tickets online. If not, call.

We check in to WDW on the 21st, so only have the one night that could fit into our plans.

Now I have seen two different numbers listed.
Is it the 407-939-7947 we call for event tickets?

That is what guest services told me when I called, but I know that others have been told differently. If online doesn't work, I will just end up calling. Now to figure out what time????

That’s the number showing on top of this post, though not sure of another one. Where would I try online, is there a specific events tab as an option on the WDW website once I sign in? It’s been a long time since I have bought event tickets! 😬
It is under Things to Do/Activities/Events and Tours, or you can just use search to find it. When tickets become available, there should be a link on the page to purchase tickets.
Thank you! If it is available online do folks expect both online and phones would become available at 6 AM? I know it’s anyone’s guess but just curious as to similar events in the past.

Do you think Dec 3 and 7 will be relatively easy to get on Tuesday? I have a reservation for Dec. Those dates should not sell out fast right?

Agreed. We are going Thanksgiving week and would’ve bought tickets around $150, maybe even up to $175. But no way I’m paying that much!!

You're welcome. Online may become available earlier than phone lines, which typically don't open until 7am. I don't know what time online would open up if that turns out to be an option for early purchases. Online dining reservations open between 5:45-6am, but I think someone mentioned that they might check for these tickets at midnight. Good luck!
