Oh, man! But... glad the pain is improving.I need to keep it immobilized in a big old boot for 1 month and I am on a prescription strength anti-inflammatory. I have to say the pain is improving now!
I think you all know where this is going! No 50th celebration for me! I canceled our late September trip.
Well... so maybe it worked out for the best? Maybe? My sister is actually relieved she was having doubts about traveling with the current P situation.
I have some cool 50th dresses and shirts, I will have to wear those in January!
Bummer!!!! But hoepfully it will get better soon!I need to keep it immobilized in a big old boot for 1 month and I am on a prescription strength anti-inflammatory. I have to say the pain is improving now!
We will miss you! We are tentatively planned for early Feb and April.Right now Andi and I plan to travel to Disney in late January, March, and Fall. The positive is Andi will come with us next year at this time.
I have some cool 50th dresses and shirts, I will have to wear those in January!
I am happy to see Dessert Parties returning and I will definitely plan one of those for January and fall!
Yay! I will cheer in Irish now! It is very interesting all the different languages in Europe! Is it the same Gaelic Scotland speaks? I’m a huge fan of all the Outlander books! So good and filled with tons of history.English is widely spoken North and South but there are certain parts of Donegal called the Gaeltacht where they only speak Gaelige. My Irish is very limited - a few prayers and couple greetings and the most important word in the Irish language- slaínte! Slaínte ( pronounced slan-cha) means cheers so there ya go you can now toast everyone and everything in Irish .
Yes that is good! Our government is now debating the booster jab for everyone or just those higher in age and certain medical conditions.Thankfully the government had just announced they will vaccinated age 12 and over now. Bout time!
Yes I hope the world cooperates! She has had to miss her semester abroadExciting times ahead!
This appetizer is a must if you decide on dinner. That looks soooooo good.
We have done both, breakfast pre-Covid-19 I really enjoyed both, If it is all adults I would pick the dinner but it is hard to choose!have ADRs here for breakfast and dinner in October and I cannot decide which to keep. We've never done either.
I know, she may have been a little sleepy to get 44, lolYay! Love these kids with their fast fingers. Allie is my BG Getter!
I know! I was so nervous of running into someone or being embarrassed with the whole bus thing, if I need one in the future, (gosh I hope not) I would do the scooter for sure!yikes…that makes me cringe…the scooter would have been soooo much easier!
I do as well, such a nice way to enjoy the morning with low crowds.I miss those EMM days. Those were my jam. If they ever come back, I'll be first in line!
Very tasty and a good Disney breakfast in my opinionYum! We love those Jack-Jack cookies too
It really was a nice change! It is usually so crowded in DHS and it is not a favorite because of this. This trip totally differentWhat an amazing morning you had at HS. I can’t imagine how quiet it must have been to ride so many things with so little queuing especially given so much was down. Love the photo of the Pixar ball.
I think the Skyliner runs efficiently 99% time, we just hear about those freak accidents and hanging in the air for hours! We didn’t encounter any problems thank goodness! They were only building the skyliner the last time I was at WDW (yes it’s been that long) but I like the look of it. Other family members not so much . Maybe one of these days I’ll get to see it for myself
The cookies is yummy and definitely shareableNum Num Cookies are good at any time of the day!
This was so convenient and quick! How nice to be on the skyliner to be able to go back to the room and rest.
So delicious and perfect for a Disney breakfastYUM I had this for the first time last month and it'll be my breakfast at HS this month again!
I think a Skyliner ride to the Riviera for the fries and other good dining options is a must for us now!YUM again! These really area good What a great time at HS with no crowds, reminds me a bit of our first few post-COVID trips!
Thank you so much! I love traveling with my DD! Have a wonderful trip in October! I loved staying at Riviera, our view was awesome!Y’all are so cute!! My 20 year old DD is my Disney buddy. We’re going in October for my 50th birthday on her college fall break. I love Riviera and you had an awesome view!
Haha! You could be right! She's slipping. You sure she's an early riser? H
Hello! Very nice to have you here! I am sad about canceling! It is the right decision at this time! I really like the whole 50th celebration lasting 18 months! Thank you for the positive thoughts I sure hope this injury is all better sooner than later!Been following your TR's for a while - a lurker. Sorry you had to cancel. Sounds like it was a good decision though and you have plenty to look forward to! Hope you heal quickly and you're 100% by January!
Oh, man! But... glad the pain is improving.
It does suck! The pain is so much better overall so this helps!Sorry to hear that.
It is for the best at this time! I had some really good ADRS and we were staying at WL so that part is a bummer!Well... so maybe it worked out for the best? Maybe?
Yes I sure hope soBummer!!!! But hoepfully it will get better soon!
I’m glad you have some trips coming up! We leave the last day of January right now! I think we will enjoy the 50th with lower crowds, hopefully! We will miss you! We are tentatively planned for early Feb and April.
Yes it was so nice! It did make navigating the wc so much easier!I bet TSL was so nice being empty. What a great way to start off the trip. Not to mention, I'm sure it was less stressful learning to navigate with a w/c (and Andi pushing it) without throngs of people around and jumping in front of it.
Yes it is so weird how this just showed up one day and has really changed so many of my plans, ugh! I’m excited for future trips, I hope these happen!Aw, no! Sorry to hear about your ankle. That's a bummer about having to cancel your 50th trip. But...healing and ensuring you don't make it worse is the most important part. You want to be ready to rock and roll next year for your three trips
Thank you so much Moira! I love to plan for trips so it helps having tentative plans! So sorry you had to cancel your 50th trip but fingers crossed you heal swiftly so you can properly enjoy all the trips planned for 2022 . I’m glad to hear the pain is easing for you
I know you do and thanks for being so helpful! Our March trip is he 3rd week for Andi’s spring break. I’m sure it will be crowded in March! It was so nice having the low crowds this past trip, such a fun way to experience the parks like that again! You know I feel so bad you won't be there for the 50th, but already having 3 trips in 2022 planned is great! We are booked for March 6-10th so far, and the 5th at Universal.
Thank you so much for joining in!Following along!
Oh no! So sad you have to cancel but it sounds like it is the right decision.I do walk about 3-4 miles every day so could be from that. Who knows, anyways it sucks.
I need to keep it immobilized in a big old boot for 1 month and I am on a prescription strength anti-inflammatory. I have to say the pain is improving now!
I also have to wear my orthotics at all times from now on.
I was sternly told no traveling right now or this maybe a problem for a lot longer.
Ooh March! What date are you looking at? Bill and I are going March 12-19th!Right now Andi and I plan to travel to Disney in late January, March, and Fall. The positive is Andi will come with us next year at this time.
I know it does stink but it had to be done!Oh no! So sad you have to cancel but it sounds like it is the right decision.
We arrive on the 19th, we will just miss each other! Hope we can meet up again one of these trips!Ooh March! What date are you looking at? Bill and I are going March 12-19th!
Those are nice! These lovely mosaic walls are on our way to the Skyliner.
Oh and be still my heart, Sully he is my favorite fur character. I am like Boo and he is my kitty!
Like a man with wings, do ya?I have to say I am partial to the space man over the cowboy.
Yup.I am still amazed how many people just walk up to the CM’s at the entrance and ask what is this? How do we ride this?, Where is the line? Oh wait you need a what to ride this?
Impressive.Andi usually gets best in vehicle.
I have no idea if that's good or bad! (compared to what I get, I mean.)Don’t laugh now but my highest score is 130,000!
Really? That's too bad.we went over to MMR and found a PhotoPass CM and had a few pictures done. He was not the friendliest and did the standard 2-3 shots.
Didn't know that. Never been on.The ride is a little different depending where you sit.
Stay tuned for Our best meal of the trip
I wish we had ridden this in August but the lines were always so long. Next trip for sure!We decided to ride MMR, the wait was a little hot outside but it did move quickly. We got to experience the pre show for the first time and it is very cute! We also sat in theback of the train and we saw different things, I really liked that. The ride is a little different depending where you sit.
Can't wait to hear where you ate!I have to write a new post for our evening because it will be filled with delicious food porn! Stay tuned for Our best meal of the trip and it was on sale!!
The mosaic wall art is so beautiful It really makes the walk to the Skyliner so nice! Those are nice!
I do and I have several shirts with Sully on them, lol We met him a few times and he was so nice and huggable! Please tell me you have a stuffed Sully at home. (Or several.)
Especially when the just pop up lolLike a man with wings, do ya?
If you are spending money at Disney do a little research! I always here people saying we couldn’t ride anything we just walked around!Yup.
And that's what makes me happy. When I hear kids ask their folks "How come they don't have to wait in line?" And the answer is "Because they're rich."
Nope. Just educated.
It is a solid mediocre scorehave no idea if that's good or bad! (compared to what I get, I mean.)
The first couple times we rode before we were in the front of the train so it was cool to see it was a little different, just like on Rise, depending which vehicle you are in, it is a little differentDidn't know that. Never been on.
It really is a cute ride and there is so much to see, I enjoy it but still miss GMRI wish we had ridden this in August but the lines were always so long. Next trip for sure!
Coming up soon! Can't wait to hear where you ate!
Man we will miss you by a few days. Bummer. Fingers Crossed it isn't too busy.I’m glad you have some trips coming up! We leave the last day of January right now! I think we will enjoy the 50th with lower crowds, hopefully!
We love this ride as well. And I don't think my score is very high either. Boo.We decided to head back to TSL and we rode TSM again! We love this ride! Andi usually gets best in vehicle. I think I got my highest score this afternoon. Don’t laugh now but my highest score is 130,000!
On Slaw.... Intresting... Can't wait to hear about it.I have to write a new post for our evening because it will be filled with delicious food porn! Stay tuned for Our best meal of the trip and it was on sale!!
