Wine & Dine 1/2 marathon weekend 2021

Where did people find out their bib numbers? Is it only available if you were able to electronically sign the waiver? I could not get anything to clickin The signature part so I had to go the print my waiver route.
Go to rundisney.com then
  1. "Help and Support" then
  2. "Manage Account" then
  3. "Your Registrations" then
  4. "Edit Registration" then
  5. "Get your check in pass"

@camaker, school me on your logic of your challenge bib number giving you a good corral/placement. For example, my HM bib number is 10xx. Does this mean I am in the first 99 runners; or maybe the first 1099 runners?? Thanks!

Bib number has correlated with corral placement for as long as I’ve been doing RunDisney races and I don’t expect it to change this year. They usually publish corral tables in the event guide, although I haven’t seen them in there this year. Here’s an example of what they looked like for the challenge and half during the last race weekend in 2019.

Thanks @camaker. I had not viewed the 2019 HM corrals since I ran it and forgot the spread by bib number.

In 2019 I had a PoT under the "old" requirements and was bib 1651 placing me in corral E.

I do not have a PoT under the "new" requirements and was thus surprised to have a lower 10xx bib number. Of course we do not know how many runners there will be this year compared to 2019. I'm looking forward to seeing how the new corral/wave/groups will look.

I believe I’ve figured out the reason behind the disappearing registrations. As far as I have read, it hasn’t happened to any minor or to any person on their own Disney account. In order to sign the waiver, the adults that you registered must have it sent to them, log into their Disney account and sign it. When they go back to their account their registration will still be there. I believe that when one signs the waiver, when they are an adult with a separate Disney account, the registrations disappears from yours and moves to theirs. Since they are their own adult, they can manage and have a Disney account, thus removing the need for the registration to be on your account. While it is annoying and would be nice to have record of the fact that you registered said person, I beliieve this is the reason behind the madness.

I am pretty sure the bib numbers are tied to corral or start position or however they are doing it. I submitted a POT and my bib is 200xx. Based on the 2019 chart, my # would put me in the old corral A which makes sense since the HM POT I submitted was 1:35:04.

I will vote to agree with @camaker and @huskies90
The first thing I noticed was my bib number looking the same as previous years with the number putting me in the back half of ‘A’ exactly where my POT should have me. I’m thinking it’s the same system with s1-sX instead of A-G. I guess we just have to wait to see how many groups they make and to find out where they put club members. If nothing else I am feeling confident that my POT was submitted and processed correctly, I always panic last minute thinking I forgot to put it in.

That's not what was happening. I signed both myself and my husband up. When I sent him his waiver, his registration disappeared from my account, and didn't show up under his, so until runDisney got it sorted out and added it back to his account, we couldn't see it anywhere.

My challenge bib number is very, very low: considerably lower than it should be relative to estimated finish time, unless they've only got a few thousand people running this thing. Ditto for a friend of mine.

Same here - this fall is the first time races in general are more or less normal in almost 2 years, so I just assumed the more serious runners are opting for more serious races.

Hmmm. My half bib is significantly higher than it’s ever been and, if they’re sticking to the 2019 corral assignments, it’s way off what I submitted as my estimated finish time. 😞

Nobody is expecting them to stick to the 2019 corral assignments. I don’t think they even match up with the diagrams in the event guide. Those tables were just provided to illustrate a point and answer a question.

So do we think they are not announcing corrals/groups because the registration is still open?

pure conjecture on my part: I didn’t submit a POT but using 2019 corrals my number would put me in the group indicated by my estimated finish time and also my last submitted POT to rundisney (like the last time I ran a race there, in 2018) which was a RunDisney race. However, I was assuming that this years race would be smaller than past years so maybe my number is actually higher which would also make sense since I didn’t provide POT.

I just went back and checked my start times going all the way back to 2015. I always started at the same time, meaning I was always in the same group, even if my corral letter fluctuated. I’ll assume for now that I will continue to start in the same relative group to the total number of groups.

Can we even assume the bib numbers / start groups are consecutive? This seems like a whole new system.
I think we can assume so...until and unless we all start picking up our bibs and finding out the bib number and the start groups have no correlation :confused3

Somewhat related question... Does anyone have a HM bib number under 1000?

I do, 9xx. I did not submit a POT but listed 2:00 as my finish time.

My bib number is 4xx and my POT would’ve put me just under 2 hours

Here are the bib numbers data compiled into one post. I will update if anyone tagged provides more information about their estimated pace from registration.
