Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Feels a little strange to ask such a personal CM question in this setting, but does anyone know if Irv has a 'typical' schedule in terms of days of the week, or is it variable?

GF RPC isn't a usual stop for us but we have a quicky Fri-Sun 2-nighter that I could switch to GF RPC so I've been considering it. It's been years since I've been to RPC (2016 - wow!) and DW has never been. If there was a reasonable chance of running into Irv that would be a bonus.
Sorry I'm seeing this a bit late, but as of the beginning of January, Irv stated he did not have a set weekly schedule. However, it may be helpful for planning to know that, at that time, he was not scheduled in the mornings, but would start his shifts mid-day or prior to the evening offerings.

Also, I don't think I ever got a chance to let those know who might be interested, but Irv did share with us that he planned to work another year and a half before calling it quits. His granddaughter, whom he always talks about, is getting married and his daughter will be retiring and is planning to move toward the coast, so Irv indicated he would most likely be moving at that time to be near his daughter. This has us trying to get back to RPC one last time to see him. He will be missed.

Thank you very much for this.

Grrrr...I don't really want to stay at RPC but may switch just since we have the chance. Hate to be so gushy but Irv was an important part of our early Poly CL stays and one of the reasons I came to enjoy the CL product overall. I've hated this 2+ year pause and would definitely like to say hello one last time before he retires.

Thank you again.

Hi all! We're currently in the middle of our WL CL stay, and I wanted to post details about the breakfast offerings.

Yesterday, there were scrambled eggs, sausage, oatmeal with a variety of fixings, cereal, smoked salmon, bagels and cream cheese, white bread and a variety of muffins and pastries. There were also a selection of juices, coffee and an espresso machine. In addition to sodas, boxed juices and beer, they also had water from a tap, but no bottled water.

Damn - WL CL is crushing it. It kills me it's often so hard to book there - I wonder if they have or will ever go back to the WL CL paid add-on option. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for posting these! We are staying at WL CL in March, and I can't wait. The breakfast was always my favorite.

I agree! We had used the CL add-on for several WL trips. I hate the dormer balcony rooms on the 7th floor and the add-on was a perfect way to enjoy the lounge but have a nice balcony.

The food selections look great! I wish they had better than a 10% discount, though, since it is hard to justify 10% when you can get 25% somewhere else - even when using Disney math. ;)

Irv is a huge part of why we fell in love with Poly. He would always make such an effort to make sure we were always taken care of and would go away of his way to chat. I'm so happy for him though to be able to retire and spend time with his daughter. :) :)

One thing I noticed while getting back up to speed for our next trip (since it's been 6yrs!) is what seems like that expectation of many for more substantial food at dinner time in the lounge. Our previous CL stays- never went in with that expectation and knew that it was more appetizer like offerings. But maybe as they moved to more "heavy" appetizers - the more people have become to expect something that will actually serve as a meal substitute? I have seen people comment on the lack of "lunch" - that never used to be in the mix either, was that something was offered at some time? We experienced just snacks previous.
Some of the lounges were offering soups or wraps during the 'lunch' period. Also homeade chips, whereas now everything is bagged. CL prices seem to have increased significantly, so I think people will expect nice appetizers. Still not really a meal substitute but if you have a big lunch, the apps are fine for a light dinner. Before the closures I was seeing CL prices in the 500-800 range. $1,000-1,200 was high. Now that higher price seems to be standard, so imo it would not be wise to cut down on offerings with those prices.

I think the CL prices are 'too high' right now and I am not booking it. But I do enjoy seeing the pictures on this thread :wizard:

They do the stuff you can do yourself. Except they do it later because their office isn’t opening when booking windows open 😂
Thanks! Thays what I thought... Are they more likely to find me a hard to get reservation than I can find? I am using a subscription service to try to get hard reservations.

Confusion here. Hopeing someone can help. BWI has an Outer Building Garden View Room at a hefty price tag. I believe it's the little cottage-type room. Disney website currently does not list this room under CL. Also, website currently shows it as an occupancy of 2 adults only (it disappears from availability if you search with 2 adults + 2 kids). I thought in the past that this room category was CL, and that it had a pull out couch in the downstairs living room, as well as the king bed upstairs. Anyone know what's up with the changes?

You do have club access in the outer building but they do only hold 2 adults. There is a sleep sofa, but the max occupancy is 2.

Hello, CL newbie here! What exactly does Signature Service do? I usually book all my own ADRs, etc....

Apparently not much right now. Posters here have said they are not making ADRs currently. I’m not sure if they would book tours or cabanas or just direct you how to do it yourself. I think they will still add room requests or allergy notes to your reservation.

I would call and check first. It used to include CL, but the website currently does not indicate that. Better to confirm with Disney than be disappointed! For the cost, it should be included, but who knows now!

Last time we were there we just bought water bottles at the gift shop.
We almost always end up stopping at a convenience store or something to pick up a case of water.

The on-property gas stations have, I think, Zephyr Hills or Dasani (maybe both). Both brands are kinda blech IMO. Zephyr Hills is FL water, so almost defeats the purpose of buying bottles.

I wish the WDW places all had bottled water. Universal does. One small word of caution- in my experience- though some WDW hotels offer water in the winter, come summer- they tend to NOT have bottled water. If this is important to anyone, it pays to ask right before your visit about it.

At BW in November, we were given water bottles, and they were those mini ones, which was fine with me. I generally use a refillable bottle and actually preferred the smaller one since I was going to throw it in my purse to sneak into the AMC. I’m sure they find unopened bottles hoarded in rooms when people checkout that they have to throw away for safety purposes. Getting rid of them is probably their best option.

As I just posted, we always buy a case of water or more. Often enough, at the ed of the trip, we have a few left over. If you are flying, you can't bring it with you unless you check a bag.

MANY times over, we have found ourselves in that exact situation - with bottled water to give away.

What I can tell you is the WDW bell staff is happy to have it. I have also offered sealed drinks to random strangers in the airport or at the gas station near the airport when we get gas, and even to the car rental employees. Though the car rental folks often can't take it because they have no place to put it. If they turn me down, I can usually give it away to random strangers in the airport with little effort.

I am always amazed at how easy it is to find people willing to accept water bottles! It is especially easy if the water is still in the original plastic shrink wrap. Even if it is just the last 4 bottles of a 24 pack.

Even during the pandemic, people have been happy to accept sealed beverages from me. I dunno, in the area where I live, it is common for folks to sell drinks at local sporting events from a cooler on the sidewalk or trunk of their car in the parking lot, so many locals think nothing of it.

WDW staff can't give it to customers, but they are often willing to accept it for the CM's to have. For that matter, the pool CM's - at least pre-pandemic - were also happy to accept partially used cans of the spray-type sunscreen. They said the same a few years back, they couldn't give it to customers, but pool staff would happily accept it for CM's to use.

One time....I even gave away a coffeemaker at Pop. First person I asked was VERY HAPPY to have it.

Mind, I'm not at all condoning hoarding CL water (to give it away), but if you bring your own water to WDW, it is easy to give away leftover bottles, especially if it is good brand of water!
