Just wanted to confirm if DH and I each have a Schwab Platinum card, can we cash out to a joint Schwab checking/brokerage account, or do we have to have separate checking accounts also?
The joint Schwab brokerage account works fine (we also have a joint Schwab checking, but the cash-out goes automatically into the joint brokerage account). DH and I each have our own (non-AU) Schwab Plat cards.

Hi everyone! My DH and I are looking to go to California for our 25 anniversary. I have a CPR and CSP card already with a small amount of UR left on them. (These and a discover card are all I have). I have had them for about 3 years. I have a small business also. We also live in a delta hub (Detroit) I am looking to start hacking to help pay for our trip. Not sure what card to apply for. I seen Chase has a business card with a high bonus but it would require a 15000 spend in 3 months, so that’s a no go. Any advice?
Just saying "HI" to another DTW person :)
The AA shopping portal points from the Giftcard.com VGC purchase are finally pending.
I'm STILL waiting on mine. They opened a case but said it could take 4-8 weeks. UGH!

Dd's Surpass card arrived, paid property tax installment for May and MSR has been met! FNC and 130k HH points coming her way (which will be quickly transferred to my account)! Yay! More HH points are always welcome!

To put into churning perspective, the points & FNC just from this card could get me 2 nights at the WA Maldives, which is around $1,800.00 / night or the Conrad Maldives which is around $800-$1,000 / night. This SUB offered tremendous value and if I wasn't at 4/24 until December I would've jumped on it. Hopefully they run it again next year!

I'm in a FB group, and it annoys me to no end the "order" everyone in that group feels you HAVE to take to play this game. Often overlooking great offers like this! After the 3 nights in PDC at the swim up ocean front suite (all inclusive), I was on a mission for more Hilton Points and FNC. So I used my last spot to grab the free Hilton card (the only one I haven't had) when they had the 70k + FNC offer. That card/offer brings me way more value right now than more URs or other Chase cards. That said, I went for the IHG Biz card when it launched (about 25 days after going 5/24) and got it! I drop back under in May, so I'm not too worried.

I have always preached that you need to do you when it comes to this game! You don't HAVE to do the CSP, then the Inks, then the Freedoms, then other Chase cards, etc IF Amex cards make more sense to what YOU want to do. I mean all that said, I had the CSR since it's launch, CIP, 2 CICs, CIU, Freedom (OG), CFF. And I'm sitting on over 500k URs. And I'll likely try the MDD coming up. BUT that said, I've gotten personal cards when others would say it didn't make sense, or Amex cards. Heck I love AA miles, and I'm looking forward to getting some personal AA cards once I do the MDD this summer.

We have the free Instacart membership through some of the Chase cards. So we've used Target or Aldi or Publix through Instacart and have had it delivered to bell services. I believe there is a $6 charge from Disney (which I think reports are hit or miss if they charge it). But it's easy peasy not to have to worry about being there to receive a delivery and they'll refrigerate. It's nice to have fresh fruit, make toast, etc.

I am doing an Instacart Order for Disney on the 7th. What Chase Cards have the free membership? And do you know if they will deliver alcohol if we are not there? Was going to have driver stop and pick up our order but may be easier to have them deliver.

Good morning! Just approved for CIC #5 as my UR's are rapidly dwindling (not due to travel, but because I am able to use the PYB for an airbnb beach getaway that I got for my son's graduation gift).

And yes, I remembered to use a support link!!
wow 5? How many are currently open?

Meant to ask this earlier, sorry

Some time ago it was reported that the combining of URs between family members was no longer happening... not sure if Chase specifically said it wasn't allowed, or if people were just unsuccessful when trying.

Does anyone know if we are able to do this again? My husband opened a CSP last July with the intent of combining URs with mine and I'm not sure if that's even an option now.

Thank you!

A number of people have mentioned that they were still able to do this by calling in and speaking to a Chase rep. Here's one article on the subject:
https://thepointsguy.com/guide/transfer-ultimate-rewards-points-between-accounts/

Here's the relevant section in that article if it's blocked:

Transferring to another person’s account

Before transferring points to another person’s account, read the terms and conditions of combining Ultimate Rewards points (emphasis mine):

“You can move your points, but only to another Chase card with Ultimate Rewards belonging to you, or one member of your household. If we suspect that you’ve engaged in fraudulent activity related to your credit card account or Ultimate Rewards, or that you’ve misused Ultimate Rewards in any way (for example by buying or selling points, moving or transferring points with or to an ineligible third party or account, or repeatedly opening or otherwise maintaining credit card accounts for the sole purpose of generating rewards or manufacturing spend, repeatedly opening or otherwise maintaining credit card accounts for the sole purpose of generating rewards) we may temporarily prohibit you from earning points or using points you’ve already earned. If we believe you’ve engaged in any of these acts, we’ll close your credit card account.”
When you transfer points among your own accounts, you’re clearly within the bounds of these terms. However, when you transfer points to someone else’s Ultimate Rewards accounts, they must be a member of your household (or an owner of the business for Chase Ink cards).

Currently, the first time you transfer points to another individual’s account, you’ll need to call the number on the back of your card. Explain to the agent that you’d like to combine your points with a member of your household. The agent will ask for the card number of your household member, but then you will be able to initiate a transfer.

After calling, your household member’s account should appear as an eligible account to transfer points to online. So, you’ll only need to call once unless you or your household member decide to remove the account.

Once you’ve added a household member’s account, the process is identical to what I outlined above. You’ll choose how many points to transfer, review the details and then submit the transfer request.

there is a way to do this online now. its on reddit churning page somewhere...

I feel bad about my sister's bday next weekend. She decided to throw herself a huge bash for her 40th (like to the tune of $10k....must be nice). She lives in NJ so going involves a 10 hour drive or flying. Her bday was in Sept, but she had to cancel the party and reschedule because my nephew ended up in the hospital. One of the only dates she could get was next Sat night. Now that I'm on my BF benefits, I planned on using them to just fly into LGA and drive. She's "close" to 3 airports (1-1.5 hours away). But the issue was with the times of the flights, there is no one to pick me up. So I have to rent a car which is between $130-200.

The Spirit flight times are HELL! Saturday morning, 6am departure. Which means I need to be at the gate by 5am (to make sure I check in). Which means leaving my house around 4:20am to park and shuttle to the airport. This is assuming I fly through TSA precheck, which I should. So I'd need to get up at 3:50am. Once in LGA, it'll be 1.5 hour drive to her house. And then later that day 30 min drive to the venue. I also didn't know they planned on getting hotel rooms near the venue. That's another $100 (using my Hilton discount). The flight back is at noon. If I get the car back within 24 hours (8:30am) then the rental is $130. If I drop it at 10:30am it's $200! It's an hour back to LGA from the hotel.

So I'm looking at like $230-300 (before gas and other costs) to get no sleep all weekend. I feel bad....but at the same time, it's a lot of money, and time for little return. It's also hard to stomach that cost when I'm doing a week in NC w/ the kids in Aug for $400, LOL.

I have a question about amex retention offers I was going to post on dischurners. I hadn't been there for a while- is everything just going under the news and general discussions thread? I really don't want to post my question here.
