Fantasmic! Information and shared experiences!

Fireworks were cancelled Sunday but we watched Mickey’s Mix Magic on Small World then made our way to Hungry Bear viewing for second Fantasmic with plenty of time. But I wish we would have gone around through SWGE because New Orleans Square was an insanely packed mass of people.

Has anyone ordered the Tofu off the Fantasmic Child‘s menu? Or have any more info on what it is. I have a young vegetarian that’s interested in it, but I’m hoping not just a slab of tofu With sauce over it

New to the forum. Going solo to Disneyland Sep. 12-16, M-F. On the Friday, I'm planning on watching MSEP at 8:45, Fireworks at the Hub at 9:30, and Fantasmic with Hungry Bear Dining Package at 10:30.

Do you think I will have enough time to get a good spot at the Hungry Bear viewing area after Fireworks at the Hub (and stopping for the bathroom on the way to Rivers of America)?

Mid-Sep should be one of the slowest times of the year, but it is a Friday night without any Magic Key blockouts.

Thanks!
If you’re starting near the hub go through galaxy’s edge and you’ll fight a lot less traffic

Thank you everyone for the tips. From the Hub, I'm assuming it would be best to go through SWGE using the FantasyLand entrance, correct?

Mid September is the start of the Halloween which is one of the busier times of the year. Fireworks will be packed for sure and crowds will be even worse on OBB nights. The slow time is a narrow window at the end of August after summer but before Halloween starts.

But to answer your question: Yes. There is enough time. I used to do this exact thing all the time.

Can anyone who has experienced F! From RBT on the railing let me know what the view was like?

Were you bothered by people walking the walkway in front of you during the show?
We would be a group of 3, anyone know if that would give us a better chance for the railing or is it very random?

Also, can you stay at your table at RBT to watch the fireworks?

Hi, I would be interested in the 6/18 reservation if still available.
Thank you🙂
It isn’t letting me send a private message. When would be a good time for me to cancel it for you? I can do anytime tonight until 10pm central or anytime tomorrow after 8:00am central.

Hi again,
I’m ready right now if you are. I’m not sure exactly how to do this other than me trying to jump on the reservation when you let it go. Does it matter if I only have 2 people?
Thank you again👍

Yes, you are allowed to stay at your table to watch the fireworks. I wasn't on the railing when I went so not sure about that. I've heard the seating is random. When we went there was a table already waiting with our name on it.

Have fun!

Sorry, my daughter wasn't feeling well and I never got back on last night. Send me a private message to let me know when you want me to release it today. It shouldn't matter that you only want it for 2 people, but if it won't let you book for only 2 people, I'm pretty sure you can book for 3 and then show up with only 2 and only get charged for 2.

My son got the tofu last night (pictured below). I think a slab of tofu is an apt description. It has more a coating of spices (BBQ rub) than actual sauce on it. He ate maybe half of the pieces and said it was ok, not great. He enjoyed the tater tots a lot though and wished there were more of them! He also ate cornbread and part of a huge biscuit from the bread service.

The adult tofu dish is much better with the tofu mixed with roasted veggies and actual BBQ sauce. I was able to order for my meal off the regular menu.

If there are no substitutions, can I request the potato salad not be put on the tray? Or has anyone had success ordering from the main menu?

We did the premium dining package for Fantasmic last night and I thought I'd share a few details for those wondering about it.

We had a party of two (one adult/one child) and we checked in on the app after walking over around 7 pm. I noticed some folks waiting on the side of the restaurant (near adventureland) and we were eventually directed that this is where check in would happen.

As other have said, tables were already assigned and we lucked out to have one by the railing. The table had a paper placard with our last name, as well as special lanyards, which my kid loved.

Our waiter quickly took our drink orders. I noticed that the menu had bread service added, which I don't think I've seen mentioned before. It was a basket of cornbread and large biscuits with sweet butter.

The waiter confirmed that we could order off the regular menu. I had the salad and got the BBQ tofu dish on from the standard menu as I've enjoyed that in the past. My son also got the tofu (see my post above). He had the pudding for dessert and I had the raspberry chocolate dome thing, which was very unique! It had layers of berries, raspberry cake, and mango sorbet inside the ball.

The service was excellent and we felt totally catered to all evening. My son got a huge kick out of it as he loves anything where he feels like a VIP. I was worried that he'd be bored waiting so long for the show, but we only had about 20 minutes left to wait by the time we finished dessert.

The show itself was wonderful. I thought the view from the railing was good, but not great. You are kind of in the middle between two of the water projection areas and I"m guessing the projections would look better if you are directly in front. The stream of people walking in front of us was a bit distracting but we could easily see over them.

If the view is the most important thing to you, I'd skip the premium dining. For us, it was totally worth it. There were already people sitting in the other dining package areas along Rivers of America when we took our seats and I doubt my antsy kiddo would have managed waiting 2+ hours if we had done the Hungry Bear package. Hopefully once all the newness of the return dies down those packages won't require showing up so early.

Thank you for the detailed review! I find it so odd that the tables are preassigned instead of first come first serve basis.

Thank you so so much for this. This is helpful. When you say the view wasn’t the best, it was still ok? Like you still got the gist of the show and a good view of characters on the boats and the dragon? My daughter hasn’t seen it since right before she turned 8, she will be just before 12 on this trip and so I want a good view for her.

I’m really confused about the table seating as well. Like with it being preassigned, I’m wondering if it’s based on party size? Like are small parties more likely to get tables on the railing?
In the past I think it was based on order of reservations made. Our big April 2020 trip that was (obviously) canceled included this dining, I had made it via phone when you could do so through disney dining. I had requested the railing and the cast member said it was based on order of calls and I was one of the first so it wouldn’t be a problem, although she couldn’t promise. So I’m wondering how it’s figured out now.

Again, thanks for the thorough review. That dessert looks 💯!
