Question with park hopping...if I book my first G+ selection at my first park that has an 8am open, can I book my second G+ selection for my second park at 10am? (Even if park 2 opens at 9am?) Hope this makes sense...... TIA!

Yes. It's based off when the park you book your first LL in opens.
But keep in mind, if you have a park hopper ticket (or AP), you can book at any other park - but you can only book a LL at another park once the return times for the attraction have extended out to 2PM - the park hopping time. If you go looking for an attraction at park2 at 10AM, but the return times are only noon, you can't book it yet.

I'm just wondering if your party size affects ILL availability?
We are staying offsite and it seems pretty non existent that my DH and DD will get a ILL for RotR (we will need to leave by 5pm each park day so late evening is unfortunately not an option)

Party size should not impact the availability 99% of the time. We find ILL to be very similar to FP+ where you select the number of passes you want, and the app provides time periods you can get them. Now that being said, getting on at 9 instead of 7 could cause an issue if you want to be done by 5 (or earlier). Depending on the day and date you're trying to do this, I'd think the possibilities are decent, but certainly no guarantees - as you already seem to realize!

I went to WDW in January and felt like I had to buy Genie+ everyday in order so avoid waiting in hour+ long lines for any ride. I hated it. I am very tech savvy but found it cumbersome and confusing to use. I spent a good part of my day looking down at my phone trying to find a ride to get a pass for or find a ride that didn’t have an hour wait. No, I didn’t do rope drop because it’s too early to get out there at 7am to go to an amusement park. I do love WDW very much and have been over 20 times but have never been more frustrated with a system. Having to wake up every morning at 7 to buy the Genie or LL or standby is awful too. It’s like Disney is trying to wake up everyone early on purpose.

I hate it too! 20+ year DVC member, and it makes me miserable 😭I’m super organized and a Type A planner. Have always done the majority of the planning for our family & friends trips. But my preference is to plan mostly in advance and not have to deal with G+ (and sometimes Disney IT!) at 6:45 AM every morning. Not fun at all.

We average 1-2 trips a year from the northeast. We have a trip planned next week and are going to take advantage of the extra evening hours at MK and Epcot, plus an After Hours event at DHS (yes, more $$) in order to minimize G+ usage. Hoping to use G+ for only 3-4 days during our 8-day trip. Also hope to maximize it by using it at 2 parks on some of those days (mid-morning arrival in Park 1 using G+, and then stacking attractions for the Park 2 for late day arrival) . We’ll see how it goes. 🤞

Quick question on Magic Kingdom park reservation availability the first week of March. We have deluxe resort reservations, and the general calendar shows all days and all parks available for resort guests (all dates green). So I’m trying to modify our park reservations in MDE for 2 of those dates from Epcot to MK (4th and 8th) and it’s showing MK unavailable on the modify function. What gives?

My guess is I’m going to need to call someone for assistance to try to do this via phone. Does anyone know what phone number I should try?

Many thanks

Not sure if this is why but, just a heads up that the availability calendar is not updated real time. Reservations may be available or, they may be full.

There is a pinned thread about Disney phone numbers at the top of this board. I would look there.

Thanks, good to know. I put a call into IT a little while ago and waiting for a callback (BTW, I have no idea why I posted this question in this thread but thanks for getting back to me! 😆)

Update: There is definitely some sort of IT glitch going on. Took the IT representative 35 minutes to figure out some work arounds, but he was able to make our modifications. He said they had had a number of similar calls today.

Yes it did. Around 1:00- 2:00 both days. Much talk of it in this thread if you read through the past couple of pages. Also, information on page one has been updated.

Hello!
I booked G+ for my In-laws today for magic kingdom and ran into a few issues. First I thought I knew how to pin a couple attractions to the top but the ones I selected never showed up. Second when choosing or attempting to modify there weren’t times listed until you selected (and by then of course the times were too late). My in laws don’t have very high expectations but we are meeting up tomorrow for Epcot and I want to make sure I’m ready with G+!! Thanks for any advice!

I discovered that you need to wait a bit after making your initial 7 am booking before you can modify to see the actual times. If you wait until 7:15/7:30 to modify, times should be listed.

Question about using a LL for shows like Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo. Do you book the LL for any show or is it specific for the next show that is showing on Genie?
