Disney's POLYNESIAN VILLAGE RESORT Information & Questions

Do the basic club level room have the same multiple toilets? We are going in June. The wife, three DDs and I. I need a second toilet.
No. The DVC studios are not the same as resort rooms. You can see pictures of the room on Disney’s site where you book.

There is a bathroom in the lounge on the 3rd floor but it can get busy as times.

Quick Poly club level question for anyone who may know: we will probably arrive to the Poly by 9am if not a bit earlier. Since our room won’t be ready by then, where should I expect our bags to be held? Is this something the club level concierge would help us with or is this a regular bell services ask? Thanks!

When you arrive at the resort you store bags with bell services the same as a non club room. To get your bags later you’d call from your room or can have the cm at the desk call but I find it’s easier to do myself. You do need to be in your room for bag delivery .

If your bags don’t show up timely then the cm desk is handy to help track them down. That happened to us once.

Depending on your day what we often do is head back to the resort midday. If when you arrive back to poly and the room isn’t ready I go and grab my bags from BS and roll them to Hawaii. We will just wait in the lounge until our room is ready. Sometimes one will wait and the others swim or shop etc. I just want to say the later my room gets ready the more likely my bags take longer and I get cranky.

This way we can settle in the fastest. Of course it also depends on your travel group. For poly it’s me and dd or dd and ds trips. Both were late teens and now 20’s. DS is content to read while dd and I run to BouTiki.

Good to know, thanks! We’re actually arriving on the late side the night before and crashing at the airport Hyatt so we’re planning on a parks morning the day we check in (that’s how I know we’ll get there early that day, knock on wood of course). The plan is to drop our bags off, grab a quick bite at the lounge and then head to Epcot for at least a few hours. Then back to Poly around 1 to lounge at pool, etc while waiting for room to be ready. Hoping that’s a good mix of park and resort time that first day!

Hi,
We did this last trip (except our stay was at CR CL) and our Uber got us to CR by 0800! It was wonderful being able to grab a little nosh before we headed out and meet the CL staff (Who are ALL fabulous, btw!) We felt so refreshed and grateful we didn't have to wrangle luggage etc to WDW. I would ABSOLUTELY do that again for late flights!

Hi. Heading to the Poly next week. What method are people having success with for submitting a room request (non-DVC)?
thanks!

I joined Touring Plans and they will submit for you. This has worked out for me. When I used for the Poly I requested a specific floor and building and room and was put in the room next to it.

I am sure there is another way other than this premium service that others might know... however love this site and their Lines app...more accurate than Disney wait times generally.

I agree, that mustardy yellow is not great. But when I'm planting my seat in a seat, it matters not the color or design, lol!
They can mess with the colors all they want to, just don't mess with that lobby smell. :)

Seconding the recommendation for Touring Plans. I'm a heavy Lines app user so that's the reason I subscribe, but I've enjoyed using their room request service regardless of resort. Mostly I like it for the "set it and forget it" nature of it, it phrases the requests in a way that makes the best sense to the room assigners and it's an automatic process once you select it. Of course, requests are just that, "requests" and not a guarantee, but I've had some very good success with it in the past. The only time I've never gotten the specific building/floor I asked for was when I got pixie dusted at the GF.

Hi all, I’ve had a standard hotel room booked for April forever (okay, since last June) and just switched to a garden level Club Level room when one popped up last week. I never thought I’d upgrade bc frankly the standard hotel room is pricey enough but months of construction view talk finally wore me down, lol. It increases our trip cost by a decent chunk (we’re there for 6 nights) and even though I know I’m paying a premium for convenience (Ie, I don’t expect to get the increased cost back in food and alcohol consumption), I’d love for someone to help pump me up so I don’t only focus on the questionable financial aspect of it, haha.

So if you’ve recently stayed in a club level room and enjoyed it, would love to hear about it! We’re a family of 4 and have two boys under 10 (7 and 9).

Also, any thoughts on 1st vs 3rd floor? I love the convenience of the patio but not sure if the more central location makes that awkward, privacy-wise.

Thanks!

Wow - the refurbed DVC room is gorgeous! I must have missed this refurb - is it totally complete?
