Hi Everyone! I’m hoping to snag a spot on the inaugural June 2024 cruise to Lighthouse Point once booking opens later this month. Do these inaugural bookings sell out right away? Or should I risk it and wait until my upcoming May 2023 sail date to use the placeholder booking? Thanks in advance!

Book it and then shop it again with the discount. You still may save a little money. It might be a blackout date so you would not be able to apply the placeholder discount.

Any "one-time" cruise is likely to sell out, or at least rise in price quickly. If you want the inaugural, I would book it as soon as you can. After you book a placeholder, you can check whether the price with the onboard booking discount is less than the current price, and if it is, you can cancel and rebook.

Ah, I didn’t realize there could be blackout dates. Good to know! I’ll stick with the peace of mind and book as soon as available :)

Thank you all! I’ll try as soon as my booking date is available. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Our Travel Agent told me that the Fantasy June 8 and the Magic June 6 are both blocked out. We are hoping to get booked for the Fantasy ……along with everyone else. We will see what happens on Monday!
That is discouraging to hear. I was hoping to use two placeholders that I have.

Inaugural anything is pretty much always blocked from Placeholders or any special discounts.

When the Wish originally went on sale, all Inaugural sailing bookings had a non-refundable deposit stipulation as well. (Obviously moot when they ended up moving the date down the line due to delays but still)

It’s on the dcl website that June 6 and June 8 are blacked out. I was thinking June 8th too. Now going with July 25th
I was looking to see if it was a blacked out date ( I was afraid it would be ) but I couldn’t find it on the website. Can you tell me how you found it ? Thanks so much !

Do you know why there are no LighthousePoint cruises following the inauguration?
I would have thought that from June onwards to September there would be regular cruises going there?
