Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT Information & Questions

Thank you for confirming that Building 7 is far. I got stuck there one time when I had a super late arrival (I still think that someone had been assigned that room - literally the last room on the far side of Building 7 - and whined so they were switched to what had been assigned - but not yet sent - to me) and everyone made me feel like I was weird for saying it was super far. I don't have mobility issues, but as a solo female having to walk all the way back there in the dark was not super fun.
I get that - it is a long and mildly confusing walk during the day but the room we request (and usually get because most don't want it) is 7348 because it IS the furthest room from the main building. It's often the quietest with no-one walking past and the last to get ground keeping work in the morning allowing for sleep-ins :P

Able to get some gorgeous shots of the river on the way to coffee at dawn or back to the room after a long day

I was at 7103, so I must have been on the other side! It was 2 rooms away from the end.
 
Hello! Has anyone been able to fit a twin size inflatable mattress in a standard 2 queen room? Thanks
 
It's been several years since we last stayed at POFQ, we've stayed a bunch at POR but we're giving the FQ a try this trip. I recall how much more compact FQ is than Riverside and some other disney properties but what's your favorite room/building location for a standard 2 queen room? Was thinking of requesting building 4. We have no issues walking, it's me and my daughters for a girls only trip. Just figured this was a good location for proximity to the bus stop and parking lot. Thoughts?

Absolutely request building 4! Also, 2 weeks out call and again make that request. We were there last June - building 4 is really close to the main building and the shortest walk to the bus stop. Yes its further away from the boat dock, but still the best option.

OK, glad to hear. We will probably only boat to DS on our arrival day so we won't need the boat dock anymore after that. tysm :)
 
I was shocked to be in building 7 as far as possible from the middle of the resort because I was expecting less walking. I have some mobility issues, but it actually ended up not being too bad. I did enjoy the peace after pool view at Pop the days before. Lol
This was our experinece at Trinidad South at CBR. We don't have issues with mobility, but we had a water view which we never appreciated, and took forever to walk to the car. We drove up to a closer bus stop as TS seemed out in the boonies. We will be at POFQ in a couple of weeks and I fully expect to get building 7 now :rolleyes1
 
I arrived today, and I’m in love! The theming is wonderful - and it’s so peaceful. I’m in BLDG 7, which was a schlep with my luggage, but won’t be without (and I learned my lesson …use the bellhop). I’m right by the river, which is so beautiful.. The pool was fun - hopefully the water will be a little cooler tomorrow !

I will say I’m surprised there isn’t central air. There is a thermostat, but I’m not sure that’s working - the cooler is, though

I have, and I have to say they suck. For one thing, I shouldn’t have to pay for a call - there is no front desk number on the phone, I have to call Disney services on their 407 number. Also, I’ve had to call 2x, still no one.,,and I’m going to need to start getting ready soon.
Very disappointing

Go to the TV, I forget where exactly but there's a qr code you can scan and it takes you to a sort of survey that will go directly to the on duty manager. You should get a call back Pronto! Says something about hotel maybe? Scroll thru the options till you find it!!!

I’ll try, because they told me there is no turnaround time.,,and what am I supposed to do? I can’t go in the shower in case they come, so now I’m going to go to dinner all gross from the pool

*I don't know how to enable my GPS location. And they need to know that I’m here.

This MM ought not To be working for Disney. I’ll just say that - but the managers were fantastic!

As it turned out, the MM was waiting for the manager...I explained it all to them and now it’s fine. I feel really foolish, though what I said about the MM was true.

Anyway, it all worked out and I just love this place. A nice hot shower will make me feel better, lol

Or just walk to the front desk. That's what I'd do period.
