How often do you clean your bathroom(s)?

The other day at work I overheard two of my colleagues talking about cleaning and the one lady mentioned to the other how she hates to clean the bathrooms in her house and only does it when she has company coming over or they get bad enough that she can’t take it anymore. The other lady agreed with her and said she knows she doesn’t clean her bathrooms as often as she should.

I religiously clean my bathrooms weekly, usually on a Saturday, and if I know I’m not going to be home or am busy on a Saturday I’ll plan to clean them the day before or after. It got me thinking though how often do others clean their bathrooms. Maybe some people think I should clean mine more often. Obviously there’s no right or wrong answer, I’m just curious, how often do you clean your bathrooms?

Every two weeks I clean the entire bathroom. I clean the toilet a few times a week.

When I think about it, or when I notice a bathroom looks dirty. Then I clean all of them.

My goal is cleaning once a week ... refreshing (which means a quick swish clean for the toilet and sink and changing the towels) once a week. Not saying I always manage that.

I try once a week, but back in the day when I had a cleaning lady, it was every other week. Both bathrooms have lysol wipes and I’ve faked it with them and the toilet brush with unexpected company.

Cleaners come every other week. I fill in between the cleanings as needed -- usually corners, sinks, and toilet. It's just DH and me now, so it doesn't really get the heavy use that it did when the kids were at home.

Lightly clean the major areas probably a couple times a week. Deeper clean maybe once every couple of months.

Once a week for the toilets and during that time, the counters and stuff. Not the floors, though. Floors are probably once a month.

Hard not to clean the toilet and sink weekly. Full deep cleaning, once every 6 weeks when we do our full house deep cleaning.

Towels are done weekly.

Shower that’s a different story maybe monthly ?

Always when I know we are having company. The power room probably gets done more off the front door and on the main floor.

We remodeled our bathroom about 10 years ago and the shower door company left a flyer recommending we squeegee and wipe down the shower doors and stall after every use. That was something we had never heard of doing but it sure prevents soap scum build up and water spots. So I guess technically clean the shower almost daily, and a deep cleaning every 6 weeks or so is really just a wipe down with bathroom cleaner.
And we took out our tile shower and tub surrounds when we remodeled and put in Corian in the master bath and Cultured Marble in the guest bath. No grout so it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much easier to keep clean. We will never put tile in anywhere in a house again. We took it out in the kitchen too, put Corian there too. So easy to keep clean.

I clean them every week, on the weekend. I'll spot clean, as needed. With two men in the house, I can't afford to clean any less frequently.

I despise cleaning grout.

We clean the bathrooms (deeply) once a week. No exceptions. Keeps illnesses from spreading.

Toilets also get clorox wiped several times a week, as does the floor around the toilet (house full of men here). Towels get washed on the weekend and again mid week.

We keep our bathrooms very well organized and clutter free for ease of cleaning. Luckily we have 6 drawers in each one which makes countertop organization easy. We use acrylic trays for that. I can deep clean the full bathrooms in under 30 minutes. The half bath can be done in about 5.
