Something About Nothing............ #14

At a 1/2 booth, Finnegan’s. Walked in, no need for reservations, but looks very busy. Was a good sized lines when we entered. Why we decided to enjoy lunch before any rides. And boo, they took off their grilled chicken meal, replaced it with a different one, we did not like the replaced breaded chicken breast and sides were different too.

IMG_1536.jpegSee, a half booth in back of a full booth. We don’t care sitting side by side instead of waiting for a chairs or full both seating.

Well, that’s different. Haven’t been there for a year or two after another less than stellar meal & no res for pre-HHN late afternoons. Need to ck their menu out. Guess i read your previous post wrong, enjoy

Good evening. Long day today. I took 2 days off work last week, but you would have thought I had been gone for over a week. One of the therapists messed up some of the financial stuff. She has now been banned from entering payments into the system. I'm dreading what it will be like when I return from California.

I'm allergic to Penicillin too LOL. (honestly)
I really am too. Thankfully it's not a life threatening allergy.

Person near us said he was not an early riser. Little one said yeah, she’s not either, and she likes to stay up late. He said, he did too. Sigh. But she does get up early when she has to.
That's one of the issues I had with my niece. She refused to get up and would have probably slept past noon if my sister hadn't kept after her. B is not an early riser either, but like your daughter, she can get up early when she needs to .

kept forgetting to post this local college ‘graduation’ interest story
That's so crazy and extreme.

And boo, they took off their grilled chicken meal, replaced it with a different one, we did not like the replaced breaded chicken breast and sides were different too.
I hate it when restaurants remove my favorite items. I have not eaten at Finnegans yet.

I forgot to tell about the sweetest thing I saw at graduation. As we were leaving we saw a woman holding a baby. He looked to be about a year old. He was wearing a little graduation cap and gown. On his cap it said, "Graduating from foster care. I'm getting adopted." Many people were stopping and offering congratulations.

Aw that’s sweet adopting story, Charade. Your countdown is now just about 2 weeks away. Yay for you. Yeah, whenever get back from office off time, always something you have to do. I hope you don’t worry about what happens when you are away.

And yeah, time of year week day, park doesn’t open until 9, with early hour for IOA. And ends early too, 7 and 8 pm. But we are used to it, as means it’s not as crowded. Was even shorter week day hours when we were here at the end of January.

96 said the board as we walked into the hotel last night. Yep, next two days that’s the high temp. Woot! Loving this heat, and a warm breeze makes in shade even nicer.

So maybe a drive to a beach or water rides or just park time. Not sure. Will see what little one wants to do. What a beautiful sunrise and sunny start to the day so far.

I know Mac will be enjoying a Taco Bell run today, as certainly a Taco Tuesday here.

A most Terrific Taco Tuesday to all.

Safe travels Aurora. May see ya sometime this week. Weather has been perfect. We are enjoying our stay at HRH.

Hmm, little one thought we’d get to an earlier time. Um, still sound asleep. I don’t wake her. We do relaxing. And that’s what a holiday away time is for.

Oddly just got an email that said to call, pass has been expired, please renew. Um, I renewed before it did expire, and the app says still valid to next year’s expire date, and I’ve entered the parks for a couple of days well after my expire date and no one has said my pass was not valid. I did call, they said they think the IT AP records are messed up. They verified I did renew, and to disregard the email. Sigh. I hate when you get such a notice when you think you did what was said you forgot to do.

:wave2: Finally getting a chance to stop in. I started a post on Friday...but sadly, it never got finished.

Happy belated Mother's Day everyone!

No rain - so fires are still roaring, with many still " out of control " status. The smoke cleared away for a few days - but returned last night. The forecast has some rain in it for the weekend. So crossing my fingers it actually falls.

We ended up heading to the city on Saturday. Got to spend Mother's day in the city - spending time with our gd - and then dh was gifted a set of tickets to the Oilers - hockey game on Sunday night from a supplier. So we went to watch our Oilers loose and loose out of the playoffs :sad2: :sad1: It was great to experience a playoff game.

The rest of the get away was great. We had some great meals - brunch with gd and some shopping time as well.

@Lynne G your trip so far looks like it's going well! I haven't seen that animal show - but it is on my radar to do next time we visit Universal. I hope you enjoy your beach day.

@Charade67 Yikes....your company sounds ummmm - no words for that! Its's great you were able to enjoy all the moments of the graduations. Soon you will be celebrating in California!

@keishashadow - The trip/crise withdrawl sucks! I'm sure you have another countdown you can start though ;) which can help. I have to agree with the staying offsite. There are so many other things to see in Florida - besides the mouse house.

@schumigirl your brunch pictures looked delicious! Sounds like your trip is going top notch.

Well, I should get to shuffling some papers. I actually took yesterday off since we went to the city - so there is a larger than normal pile of papers to shuffle around.

Have a great day everyone!

that does surely stink Least you made it to the dance! It’s wild that fire is still an issue there. Glad to read you got to get away from that stress for a weekend. Yes, I am an admitted travel buff, retirement surely makes it easier to schedule when I find a great rate.

took the afternoon off for some focused retail therapy. :cool2: I’m a fan of Stance Sox, originally saw in a store in DTD. Just not so much the price. Anyone else wear them? Ross had them today. Varying pricing from 95 to 80% off. Woot Snapped up a bunch, especially like an ET themed pair I got for youngest DS.

Driving middle DS for an overnight sleep study, did a double take when told I’d have to retrieve him at 5:00 am. It will be an early bedtime for me tonight.

Never heard of those socks, but a score at Ross, Keisha. Eek to an early wake up. Don’t blame ya for an early bedtime.

We had a very very late dinner, so back in room and chilling. Hot fudge brownie in warm milk, with graham cracker crumble, caramel sauce and sweet cream, with vanilla bean ice cream. To say after our large entrees, then that shared rich dessert, we deserve to be chilling. I know I will sleep like a rock.

Yep, only good thing about Finnegans now is their Rum Neuralyser!

Heading to the airport shortly. 3 hour flight, should be getting into HRH around 3-3:30 I guess. Did online checkin last night. Vivo for early dinner as always hungry after traveling. Good weather for flying. See you soon Orlando!

Hope you are all settled now and had a good flight in…..and hope Vivo was good, we missed it this trip.

Nice way to spend Mother’s Day Pumpkin….with your kids……

Thank you, trip is going well, we are having some fun times.

Retail therapy is always nice.

Hope your DS sleep study goes well and yes, hope you’re already in bed!

It’s been a lovely but quiet day for us today. We were invited over to PB by their Concierge Manager who we knew from RP several years ago. It was lovely to see her and she had arranged a lovely lunch in Sal’s which was beautiful.

Then met another friend who used to work in RP for the afternoon, I think I’ll have several gaps in this TR due to quiet times……

Slept for an hour, Club Lounge and City Walk tonight……Fat Tuesday for a cocktail then sat at the bar in Cowfish for some apps. Nice.

No idea what we’ll do tomorrow…….

Good evening. The day got away from me. Today we took B's car to be detailed. The guy works from his home which is way out on the edge of town. My GPS sent me there in a very weird way. I saw parts of town I didn't know existed. He did a wonderful job. I hardly looks like the same car.

Today was also a bit of a sad day. I found out that we lost another client yesterday. She had cancer and it had become very aggressive recently.

Oddly just got an email that said to call, pass has been expired, please renew. Um, I renewed before it did expire, and the app says still valid to next year’s expire date, and I’ve entered the parks for a couple of days well after my expire date and no one has said my pass was not valid. How aggravating. Glad you were able to get it cleared up. I didn't renew my pass last year, but I will be getting a new one when I go in September.

Nice gift though I'm sorry the team lost. I have only been to 2 or 3 hockey games in my life.

I’m a fan of Stance Sox, originally saw in a store in DTD. Just not so much the price. Anyone else wear them?
Great deal on the socks. I'm not familiar with the brand. My new favorite socks are Pacas. Pricey but worth it.

Hot fudge brownie in warm milk, with graham cracker crumble, caramel sauce and sweet cream, with vanilla bean ice cream.
Ooh, that sounds good. I have been craving something chocolate.

Time for bed. Goodnight.

Yeah, with the menu change, we won’t be back to Finnegan’s again.

It’s another beautiful sunrise and so bright out. We didn’t go to the beach yesterday, we went to Disney Springs for some shopping and food. Was nice, as not too busy. Then some pool time, as was so hot. Then closed down the Studios, with entered around 6:15, shooting aliens twice, second with a TM who gave us tips, then a Potter ride, with a ride to IOA, as the Studios closed, to just ride two of the Potter rides. No wait really for either line for the castle ride, though 65 minutes said the bigger coaster. We thought, as was 7: 25 or so when we entered, so we finished at 8:20. About an hour. But was fine, as no little show they stop you in most times, and the line stopped at times, but then kept moving. Several trains we saw, so it was worth that wait. Was so warm as we wandered out. Then that nice big dinner was both was wanted, given very hungry. We usually don’t eat dessert, but that chocolate one sounded good, and we thought we wanted something sweet, and we rolled out of that restaurant.

I think the beach today? She said she did set her alarm, as we want to get there early, to come back mid afternoon. We shall see. Yesterday, when she said wanted to go the night before, never set her alarm yesterday, and so, we did not get moving until an hour before noon. Hence, not a good time to go to beach. Traffic was a little thick, and we thought we were close enough to SW, so we stopped in there to catch a show. Was lots of walls put up, so to get anywhere, you have to keep circling the park. It was annoying, and many of the coasters were not working. Oddly, they also post in the stores, they add a surcharge of 5 percent in addition the to tax. Have not seen that here or at Disney. Hmm. But the mime was back, and always a good laugh before the show, which was new to us, as changed a name and theme since last time there:

IMG_1556.jpeg

But mime is no camel, so who do I see?

IMG_1561.jpeg

Yep, agree with him. Happy Hump Day. Yep, a Wednesday is here, that mid week reminder. Sadly means our fun is half done. But we are having a great time, and have the rest of this week to party on, with an evening flight to end it. Sunday will be hopefully sleeping in a bit, then wash and getting the trash out for tomorrow’s pickup, with a get ready for week day routine earlier bedtime. A usual Sunday for us, though we tend to usually try to finish the wash on Saturdays. Not this week though. Enjoying park time after we checkout on Saturday.

Most Wonderful Wednesday all. Oooh it’s going to be hot today, and maybe some chances of rain tonight.

I’m back to being bored at work again. It is a very slow day today.
I am so ready for this vacation. Last night I dreamed that I got to work and the lobby was full of people. Two actually had appointments, but the others were trying to get in to see someone. Some had intake paperwork completed and others only had part of there paperwork done. One person was another therapist who was bringing someone to us as a referral.

Dh has just informed me that we need to get a graduation gift for his niece who will be graduating this summer and becoming a licensed funeral director. There are some strange and slightly morbid gifts out there. I’m thinking just a Visa gift card would be good.

I need to find something to do for the next 45 minutes and then I can get lunch.

Days until vacation:

A quick hump day stop in!

It's a cooler day today - which I'll take. Had a great sleep with the windows open. A light breeze was keeping the smoke away. And the house was nice and cool when I woke up - which is always good.

I got out for a walk again last night. I am needing to make an effort again to get out and get my b^tt moving more. I DEFINITELY

Today was also a bit of a sad day. I found out that we lost another client yesterday. She had cancer and it had become very aggressive recently.
It's hard to hear news like that. I'm slowly learning that lesson in my homecare position :sad1:
Daytona fun. Went by the speedway on our way back. Showers and chilling before park fun. Sea water was warm and beach was beautiful. Hot. And chances of rain later afternoon and evening. We may take our chances, and park fun later.
OOOOO I was there last year!!!! We loved the Daytona race!
Enjoy your park time tonight!!!!

Winds have turned, and are blowing smoke our way again. Oh well, I can't change that. There was a light dusting of ash on my car when I went out at lunch. I'm thinking I will be needing to dust my house soon again too. Hopefully it's not too smoky tonight for my walk.

I almost forgot that I had a pedicure tonight after work!!! I had to run home over lunch and pick up my flip flops to wear in and out of there. The joys of living in a small city where my " commute" is only 5 -7 minutes .

It's chicken for supper tonight. Not entirely sure what other sides I will make - it seems to be cleaning out the fridge veggie week!

Score. Closed studios at 6, after entering around 5, walked over for some IOA fun, then at 8:25 went into a 75 minute posted Hagrid’s ride, we exited the ride at 8:55. Never stopped, other than they held us at that show, or I think could have been even faster. Second seats. Yay for us.

Was a rain shower and lightning in area said my phone, but by the time we started, no rain and saw boats moving, so it was a quick rain that didn’t delay us or get us wet. And phone says 0 inches of rain the rest of the week. Oh and was a very muggy walk back to hotel.

Chilling and think we are going to do those water rides when we start the park fun tomorrow.

Hope all have a good night’s sleep.
