Something About Nothing............ #14

Hey !
Hope all are doing well. Busy summer for us here.
After seeing and being in Sue’s car in May we test drove one ourselves, ultimately decided ok with some downsize so ended up with Honda CR-V hybrid. View attachment 779782
Rest gas mileage, fun to drive my first new car in 22 years (hubs has had several bit I don’t count those as they weren’t my everyday driver)

Days if hot/sticky/ storms now with a couple days gorgeous low humidity &sunny. Went with friend to Top of the Rock in Branson yesterday. Hidden gem in “flyover country” . Can rent gold cart to tool around, has “bar cave” to get canned drinks (no need to even get out of golf cart). Fantastic day yesterday

Patty texted a couple weeks ago-she and Joe will be at HHN 9/8-9/10. That’s the weekend I booked hotel when AP rates dropped way back. Wasn’t sure if we’d go this year (new car big budget item) but hubs is 100% on board now lol! Will be great to see them-and anyone else who’s there!

Leavin 8/2 for Florida to spend couple days with family pre anniversary cruise. Also decided to stay couple days post cruise.
Charade we have same dilemma of driving to bigger airport for cheaper flights vs regional which often is bit higher price.

Hope to see some in the fog!

Hey Monyk....nice to see you`re doing well. I like the colour of the car.

Have a lovely time on your trips.

Really late start for me this morning. I woke up around 5:30 and didn’t get back to sleep until after 7:00. Then I slept until 11:00.

Unfortunately not. My flight leaves around 1:30, so instead of having park time in the morning I will sleep in some. Just need to make sure I am out by checkout time.

Probably the best thing for him. Hope he improves quickly.

I sympathize. I had mine out several years ago. It gave me a lot of grief until then. The surgeon said it was “angry”.

I had the growing up Skipper doll. Do you remember her? I think you turned her arm a certain way and she got taller and developed a bust.

I originally went with that option because the price was so low. I’ve been watching the rates out of my local airport and they finally got low enough that I was wiling to pay the difference. I thought we had a tiny airport, but that small one near you beats it. Thankfully the local airport is only about a 10-15 minute drive from my house. There’s also no need to get there 2 hours before a flight.

It’s Sunday, so that means race day. We need to go grab a late lunch first.

Thanks, yes, sleep is the best thing.

Carole, I hope Tom gets better soon. It sounds like a virus to me?
I love reading about your wonderful meals:)
I say that as I am eating my apple and cheese and crackers for lunch! I have to watch what I eat because of health reasons. I lost 30 # with covid with complications, and have gained 10# back:( I can't let myself gain any more, but I would Love to be able to eat like I used to. It's not all bad. I eat a treat when I want one, just not every day.

We are recuperating from our painting marathon and chilling today. Got grandson's birthday party this evening, so that will be fun. It's always difficult just what to get kids these days. They seem to have everything now! So, at age 17 we are giving him money. He always needs gas money, so that will work. Now to hang out sheets:):) You are the only one I know that gets pleasure out of hanging out wash, LOL.

I`m glad, you`d have liked those savoury scones. I think I`ll make more tomorrow but add rosemary to them as we have so much of it growing. You do well with your lunch, I don`t have the willpower you do.

Oh enjoy the party today and hope those aches have eased......

Well, no hanging out washing today, rain is still bouncing down!

gee whiz MonyK… I don’t fly in until the 11th

So close but day too late to see you
ugh..

I am in that group of always a brides maid and never a bride
lol

lol.....I like that expression too!

Still raining, but Tom is slightly better, so I`ve moved my laptop up to the bedroom as he has the tv on now, always a sign of being a bit better. We have a small sofa in the bedroom, only a little two seater, but I`ll perch myself here tonight till bedtime, I miss his company too much to sit on my own downstairs now he`s a bit better. Although I think my typing is annoying him.....lol...might switch to the ipad!

Yep, rain hasn`t stopped for about 16 hours now, still as heavy as ever.

Hope it goes off in the morning as I`ll be out shopping, definitely on my own though, he`s staying put for a few days....tv in bed, maid service....I think he`ll do ok!!

Time for tea.....

Shout out to Janet, Tink, Patty, Monyk, Bobbie68 and all the Sans family not posting much.

Hey Monyk....nice to see you`re doing well. I like the colour of the car.
Hey Schumi! One of these trips will catch up with you and Tom again! Us screamers/jumpers at HHN gotta stick together lol!
I do like the color too-had to wait a bit for this color to come in. And loving the remote start in this hot weather at work! First hybrid for us and it’s so quiet! There’s a “ready” light when it’s started to assure you that yes, car is on, as usual engine noises are absent.

Enjoying a day on the deck as these super sweet days are rare this time of year. And watching crows eat the pears from top of tree *sigh6C1FDC7E-621C-4B0B-9820-29D54492010D.jpeg

i tried replanting a lily plant I received as a gift in my front yard shade garden a few year’s back. Difficult to have dramatic flowering plants over winter in our zone/bloom in nearly full shade.

Quite late in season blooms but, I’ll take it! what a lovely surprise to see today :)

Tea should be hot and served from a teapot with milk and the milk must go in first or there`ll be riots in some places......we take our tea seriously over here....:rotfl:
Can i sneak in a shot of rum or rock & rye?

Sweet ride!!! That new car smell, ahhhh Enjoy!

We will be at U then too. Going to be a long trip of two weeks for me this time. My dog may just disown me.

I waited too long to book that portion of our first “family” trip of the season there that’s Coming in on 9/5. Family never did get it together, tired of waiting for them to commit. Got stuck paying rack rate for 5 nights. Doesn’t mean I won’t keep checking That rate. Have yet to secure a decent car rental rate.

It’s before our BWV stay, then back to U on the 15th to hang with “the bridesmaid” :teeth: for girls-only fun, sending the mr on his way lol. at least I got an AP rate for that portion of U stay.

have yet to figure out which multi day tix to buy. Seems like they may have tinkered with weekend inclusions this year.

the mr sprung a surprise trip for GD’s first HHN over Columbus Day trip on me. Managed to get that planned in a few days last weekend. Glad to have lots of points to book most of the air.

A big thank you to Expedia for having a cancellable lower rate than U direct. Needed a suite as one DS is also coming along, went with CB one. Never stayed in that sort of room there. No idea what bldg to request for a standard one with exterior entry???

Anyhoo, all this precludes RoF & FF covering all our dates. Need to decide sooner vs later which to grab. Maybe just throw a dart.

shocked to see the public tours are all spoken for already. Wow, same with the light’s on 6 house ones. rare to see them book up so fast.:confused3

not sure if doing HHN on 9/8 or 9/9 at this point, might just do SW HoS For a night or two as they don’t offer it on sunday 9/10. We really enjoy their offering. Looks like I need more darts

Um, no…next stop is to google that one hahaha.

Table saving while little one waits for the food.

Nice to score that car, MonyK, but not coming until a week after you leave. Oh well. Maybe next time. Oh yeah, and will be there the week before ya too.
Wait, is that Buffet’s house? Are you in U? no way!
Still raining, but Tom is slightly better, so I`ve moved my laptop up to the bedroom as he has the tv on now, always a sign of being a bit better
Great to hear! he’s made of tough stuff, can’t keep him down for long.

Nope Keisha, at that close to me Sesame park. We go to play in the water area there. Was very very crowded. But mall right next it is a place we stroll, then head home. Food is meh at that park, but we share the chicken fingers and fries, and the refillable cup. Can activate at their other parks too. Elmo on that cup. LoL as otherwise little one won’t be seen with any of those characters. Nope not at U until end of the next month, for a week, then 15 days later, flying back for a two week stay.

Alarm set, trash at curb. Sigh. Weekend flew by. But shorter week, so happy about that.

Hope all have a good night sleep. And that Barbie movie we both enjoyed.

lol....that was a fun house we did together!! Yep, missing this year but will be back next year for HHN if it appeals of course, right now Howl o Scream is knocking HHN out of the park for us. But, would love say a big hello to you again sometime.

Hope you enjoy the car, we do enjoy that feature of starting the engine to warm it up when it`s really cold while we`re still inside and all cosy, small things but it makes a difference for sure.

Love the pear trees!!! Yes, it`s annoying when birds seem to peck just the tiniest bits out of so many, they should know just to pick one and eat that!!! If only......lol

Beautiful lily!! They are just the most stunning of plants!

Nope......no alcohol in tea :scared1:.....but it`s fine in coffee for some reason!!! I don`t make the rules but I stick to them apparently :rotfl:

Keeping him in bed today but hopefully see a difference today, he slept so bad last night, so I hope he gets some sleep today. Tea and sympathy goes a long way.

Growing up Skipper.

I`ve never heard of Skipper dolls. But we did have Sindy in the UK that some folks don`t know either, she was maybe simpler than Barbie, maybe why I have no interest in the Barbie movie.

How did your daughter get on the other day, hope she enjoyed it!

We watched Jaws last night, first time in a long time, still holds up after all these decades, wasn`t a fan of the sequels though.

The rain has finally stopped, I think we had 24 hours of solid heavy rain, first for a long time it just didn`t stop. Sun is shining but I expect we`ll see some flooding in many areas, not overly warm either.

So, no walk this morning or probably this week, but heading out grocery shopping this morning, we need a few top ups on some things and will always pick up things I probably shouldn`t!

Then maybe some housework, I can do that away from our bedroom and dinner for one again tonight I think, not sure what I`ll have, hopefully Tom will feel like eating something soon, water and tea is not enough. Bacon roll for me this morning for breakfast and my usual pot of tea.

Monday again, and last week of July coming in.......

they closed the bridge I use almost daily, for the next three months this am. Grumble mumble

Two options as detour, one upriver a good 7 miles, the other is down river with a 10 mile extra drive in order to cross the river into the next county, where most shopping, GD and medical is located.

Not a podcast fan, may give it a whirl to pass the time sitting in what I assume will be dreadful traffic.

Determined to sit down and figure out exactly what tix I need to buy for the various HHN trips. There may be a Venn diagram in play there to find the right combo :teeth: If you’re going to overthink something, might as well go big

Oh, it’s medicinal. old skool drs here would prescribe, even for children, at night to keep coughs quieted. I imagine they’d lose their licenses so fast now, their heads would spin.

Indeed it does Soup, the man needs some home made soup :)
The rain has finally stopped, I think we had 24 hours of solid heavy rain, first for a long time it just didn`t stop.
I imagine your grass is glorious from all the rain. Ours just cut before big storm when thru on friday. Swear it was up to my ankles yesterday when grilling steaks.

have a good one all, I’m fighting off some sinus/throat gunk That has me hacking away. Who knows if it’s the fire’s smoke or not. Really, it’s getting old.

The heat wave is rapidly approaching our area, whee. haven’t heard much about the Floridians and the Sahara issue, other than their long run of extreme heat.

That sucks with the bridge being closed! Especially if it`s a daily route, you don`t mind a few minutes extra, but that is a long detour.

I swear we could see our grass and trees grow as it rained yesterday, everything is always very green and lush here anyway, but it`s gone into overdrive for sure, very pretty though. You`ll be glad yours was already done! It`s weird as this afternoon we have blistering sunshine and it`s quite warm!!

I popped out this morning for some shopping, but put a chicken in before I left, and made some chicken noodle soup, broth is amazing even if I say so myself. He did finish a bowlful at lunch with some salt and pepper crackers. Think he`s sleeping again, do him the world of good.

Enjoy that heatwave!!! But, hope the cough doesn`t last too long, sounds miserable. Are those fires still going?? Crikey, I`d have thought they`d be out by now! Have you seen Greece on the news, some of the islands are being evacuated due to massive fires spreading rather quickly and folks are being repatriated back home, finally!!! Airlines were still wanting to fly folks out there......crazy.

Good luck with the HHN tickets!! you have a few trips to buy for, and so much fun with the littel one`s first HHN, I`m going to bet she`ll love it!

I do remember being given whisky for something or other when I was around 4, my mother threw a fit when she saw my dad give me it, didn`t help as I threw up.....never did like whisky! I will take an Irish coffee with Bailey`s every now and again, but very rare as I don`t drink much coffee.

Yep, sun is shining and it is beautiful outside today, washing out on line too.....lol.....I`m changing the sheets every day as he`s in bed all day, apparently I`m being over the top but nothing wrong with doing that. Think he quite likes it.

Made some chicken noodle soup so I had that for lunch too with some deli bought bread, he wants some more of the soup for dinner so I`ll make a shrimp salad I think seeing as it`s so nice. BUt, just popped some cherry scones in the oven, they don`t take long, will see if he wants a cuppa when they`re done, probably not.

Doors wide open in the kitchen, it is a completely different day to yesterday!

Eek to both bridge out and feeling sick, Keisha. Hope the bridge repair goes quick, and well wish mummy dust you feel better very soon.

I’ll just say, ugh, it’s a Monday. Though trash day and hearing lawn service of our neighbor. Yes, the summer is here. Rained a bit this morning, but like most summer rain, followed by a full sunny sky. And thinking pool time this weekend, as pair of 95 highs with full sunny days. And shore has been having 70 or a bit high sea temps. Warmer seas when in this weather pattern. Will be close to 80 in later August. But I’d much rather be in a pool. Shark week on that animal channel. LoL

Your gardens are beautiful, hope you get the pictures sorted and can post them.

Been a quiet evening really, I was sitting with my iPad upstairs in the bedroom, then Tom fell asleep so I came down and watched Erin Brockovitch, haven’t watched that in years. Almost purchased one of those outdoor pizza ovens as I perused the wonderful world on internet shopping, but the one I wanted was out of stock, maybe the Universe is telling me I don’t need one.

Also looked up what the dental implant procedure will be once I start it in August!! Wish I hadn’t looked, but I’m sure it’ll be fine…… 🥴

Think I’ll be ready for bed before too long, sleeping beauty has been asleep most of the day, if he’s not massively improving by Wednesday, I think we’ll get a second opinion and ask the doc.

No plans to go out tomorrow, might do some baking as I don’t think the weather is going to be very nice, more rain. Lovely.

Finally getting to stop in today :wave2:

Quiet night last night.

I got home from work, and the youngest had whipped up some dinner. All I had to do was dish up! He made taco's and tater tots with all the fixings. That was a nice surprise, as I figured it would be a fend for yourself night with me working and the boys being home. I loaded the dishwasher, than plunked my butt down with the remote and played on the laptop for a bit.

Dh made it to Minneapolis earlier this afternoon. Sent me pictures of his swanky hotel room. His weather is much better than ours. It's cooler again today - and with the way my head has been pounding today - we are in for a few days of rain. Hoping to facetime tonight for a bit - I'm missing him already. As much as I enjoy alone time - it doesn't take me long to miss him either. I guess after 30 yrs - I guess we miss eachother when we are not together. :scratchin

I'm thinking it's probably sandwiches (made on croissants I splurged on) and probably a salad using what's in the fridge. I'm ALLL alone tonight. Both boys are working out of town this week.

Cheese, fat & sweets will set that off when it’s starting to “go bad” . Sorry I waited so long to have my removed, felt so much better afterwards.
I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary that day TBH. It seems like there is no rhyme or reason anymore when it happens. I did have an ultrasound done a few years ago when it was really bothering me, but they didn't find any stones. I am probably like my Aunt - who never had stones - but slurry which would flair up occasionally.

Hope all are doing well. Busy summer for us here.
:wave2: Love the new wheels!!!
Hope it goes off in the morning as I`ll be out shopping, definitely on my own though, he`s staying put for a few days....tv in bed, maid service....I think he`ll do ok!!
I'm glad he's starting to come around. It's great he has you to take good care of him.

I would be grumbling too!!! We have two seasons here - snowy/icy roads or construction. The last few years our road construction in the city here has been a nightmare. Thankfully they are now working on the other side of the city - and we rarely drive to that end of town.

Just no!!!!

Well, I should run...shuffle the few last papers around.

Have a great evening everyone!

I’m in bed after long, hot bath that broke the low grade fever. Thinking a passed on GD mini bug. DH stood over me till I chugged down some cough medicine. Believe it’s more to keep me quiet tonight lol

Tix all bought. Still shocked oh so few public tours left. EPs will have to do for the family the one night. Had to laugh, far more than I paid for RIP not long ago

Doors wide open in the kitchen, it is a completely different day to yesterday!
The sun will come out tomorrow…one of my favorite musicals :goodvibes
But I’d much rather be in a pool. Shark week on that animal channel. LoL
I’ll jump in that same pond. DH found another issue with pool, parts won’t be here for motor to Friday. He said he will rig it up McGyver style until then. He is the person I’d want to be stranded with on an island lol

Oh good luck on that implant.
Almost purchased one of those outdoor pizza ovens as I perused the wonderful world on internet shopping, but the one I wanted was out of stock, maybe the Universe is telling me I don’t need one.
DS was quite disappointed with his. Tried it out several times, unable to control the heat properly. Might be a brand flaw. Looks perfect on top, bottom of crust has big, black spots?
He made taco's and tater tots with all the fixings.
Older I get, the more tater tots grow on me. IMO perfection in an air fryer Less grease too, almost healthy lol

Well, I should run...shuffle the few last papers around.

I know what you mean about missing your DH. We`re joined at the hip and yes, we do miss each other when we`re not together. I know some folks that don`t spend a lot of time together don`t get it, but I know exactly what you mean! I do remember those many years ago now whe he worked and he would get teased how many times a day we`d call each other.....suited us who cares what others think, I`d rather be that way Pumpkin!! Hope he has a nice time though, nice hotel rooms are always good to have.

I need that implant, hate to say it. I was bothered by that crown for years, it made an appearance on two trip reports, now the bridge is failing, so implant it is.

Enjoy those croissants. I`ve tried to make my own a couple of times, but to be honest, good bakery bought ones are excellent, they`re so versatile too!!

The sun will come out tomorrow…one of my favorite musicals :goodvibes

I’ll jump in that same pond. DH found another issue with pool, parts won’t be here for motor to Friday. He said he will rig it up McGyver style until then. He is the person I’d want to be stranded with on an island lol

Oh good luck on that implant.

DS was quite disappointed with his. Tried it out several times, unable to control the heat properly. Might be a brand flaw. Looks perfect on top, bottom of crust has big, black spots?

Older I get, the more tater tots grow on me. IMO perfection in an air fryer Less grease too, almost healthy lol

Glad the fever has broken, hope you slept well, that always helps I think. Good cough medicine is heavenly when it works!!

Do you know I`ve never seen Annie (I know) I do know some of the songs and the storyline, but that`s one that passed me by!

I`ve not heard many good reports on them now I`ve looked into them unless you spend thousands of pounds on them. So I guess we won`t bother, Tom kinda laughed and said we don`t eat that many home made pizzas anyway, he`s probably right, don`t tell him that though he`s been right twice this week, don`t want to spoil him :rotfl:

I`m now avoiding all horror stories of implants! My own imagination will be bad enough, but it needs doing. Although I get a CT scan first to see if I`m suitable for it, everyone says the same thing, at the prices they charge you can bet your asp you`ll be suitable....lol....probably true.

Slept really well last night for the first time since Friday with my DH. He`s still not getting as well as he should be, so after today might call the doc if he hasn`t improved by a good level. It`s a good diet though as he doesn`t feel like eating, maybe a little extreme!

I do have to nip out this morning after all, but won`t be out long, rain is due later so I`ll get some baking done I think then.

I`ll grab a bacon roll for breakfast, lunch will be whatever and a solo dinner again tonight as Tom doesn`t feel like eating yet, so might just do some chicken thighs, make them spicy and make up a big salad. But, a quiet day ahead, I`ve started reading Wuthering Heights again, so I`ll read when he sleeps.

Happy Tuesday ☺️

Taco Tuesday is today, and commute was quick and it’s so sunny out. So sticky today, rain chances around dinner time. Hope I get home before the rain.

Hope all have a taco or thought of a taco today. Hope all have a most terrific Taco Tuesday.

Quick post before work. Not too much happening around here. I did get one of my stitching projects finished last night.

Quite late in season blooms but, I’ll take it! what a lovely surprise to see today
Very pretty.

I`ve never heard of Skipper dolls.
I think she is supposed to be Barbie's little sister. The growing up doll was a little controversial when it came out. I wish I had kept mine.

How did your daughter get on the other day, hope she enjoyed it!
So far she has just had new employee orientation. She starts her first shift tomorrow.

Monday again, and last week of July coming in.......

(do doo do do doo)
I'm going to have that stuck in my head for the rest of the day.

I’m fighting off some sinus/throat gunk That has me hacking away. Who knows if it’s the fire’s smoke or not. Really, it’s getting old.
Hope you get some relief soon.

I got home from work, and the youngest had whipped up some dinner. All I had to do was dish up! He made taco's and tater tots with all the fixings.
What a nice surprise.

He`s still not getting as well as he should be, so after today might call the doc if he hasn`t improved by a good level.
Continued well wishes for Tom.

Off to work soon and then I have a doctor appointment later this morning. I am finally getting to see someone about the numbness I had in my leg last month. Of course it hasn't bothered me in several weeks now, but it is still worth getting checked out.

Good Tuesday morning everyone

It's good to hear that your foot is slowly mending in the boot. It sounds like you have been a busy gal - even with your foot in a boot. Scammers in my books - have a special place in hell. If they would spend half the time they do on trying to do good in the world instead of bad - this place would be an amazing place to live.
I agree on the scammers. So sad that people want to be terrible to others. They just keep coming up with new ways to take someones hard earned money.

glad to hear the boot is making things more comfortable. I injured myself years ago and it helped me too. Hope they get orthotic right this time. Good question about why they didn’t scan first time. Doesn’t sound like they used the mold either!
I gave them my old molds. I agree they probably didn’t use them. The fit was way off. So I will see how this next round goes. She told me they would make me a new one for my right foot too.

Absolutely, awful when one just doesn’t feel right. I’ve ditched using mine with my new athletics. no issue walking nearly 10 miles a day in the parks last trip without them.
Great to hear you found some shoes that work. I told the Podiatrist I have never been able to wear my orthotics all the time. Only when I have a flair up of the Planters Fasciitis for awhile. It causes issues with my achilles tendon.

I rely on you to advise when the spooky stuff hits the stores! Spirit halloween opens August 3rd here. Not sure if that sounds “sad” that I know the date lol

big lots is a bit of a haul from here. Any idea when they get their stash? Other than some misses during covid, they always had something or other interesting.
Always glad to help a fellow Halloween sista.

Have not been to Big Lots lately. Might stop by and see if anything is showing up yet. They do have some fun Halloween things every year.

I think I mentioned HomeGoods and TJ Max already have Halloween things out.

Bath and Body works has their Halloween goodies out now too.

Dont get me started on Halloween and Christmas decorations AND clothing being put out when it’s only July! Can’t they just let me enjoy Summer before hitting me in the face with Fall and winter
Its seems like the stores start switching out their summer inventory for Fall earlier every year.

Thank you on mum and Tom, yes she`s a tough lady, she`s quite deceiving as she is so tiny, but generally has the heart of a lioness!
I think it is her lioness heart that keeps her going. Good to hear she is doing so much better.

You`re a better lady than me, I`d have made cherry scones with those cherries! Haven`t had a fruit smoothy in a long time!
I’am not much of a baker these days with just hubby and I around the house. When we have family over for meals I will usually bake something. I will donate the cherries if you make the scones. I saw the picture of your cheese scones and they looked delicious.

Have a lovely weekend Robbie.
We had a nice weekend thank you.

Enjoy the farmers market, they are always amazing places and yes, I know what you mean about trip reports, I thought I`d have been further on, but I`ll get there.
The Farmers market was nice on Saturday morning. It was good to get out. Nothing appealed to me. I ran into a lady I had worked with a number of years ago and we had a nice talk. My niece and little J enjoyed getting out too.

We stopped at a good pizza restaurant right across from the Farmers market.

I hope they get it right for you this time. You need to be able to walk comfortably.
Me too. I‘am looking forward to being out of this boot, but want my foot healed up for sure.

Wow, do you know if he was caught?
I don’t. It was surprising that they called the alert on the landline as usually alerts I have gotten have been on my cell phone.

Good morning homies!
Good Morning Mac.

Too bad I slept like garbage :sad2: I am not sure what I ate - but my gallbladder was causing my grief last night :rolleyes2 And of course it goes until well after 4:00 am...and I'm up at 6:00 to get ready for work. Oh well, I will maybe have a nap when I get home - or get to sleep a few extra winks tomorrow morning. I am NOT a morning person, if you can tell :rotfl: And of course I married a man who is a morning lark!
Like the others on here I had my gallbladder out many moons ago. Was glad to get rid of it as I was miserable.

as an adult purchased two of them to add to themed collections, Scarlett O’Hara & this one
Cute Mickey Barbie.

Hope all are doing well. Busy summer for us here.
After seeing and being in Sue’s car in May we test drove one ourselves, ultimately decided ok with some downsize so ended up with Honda CR-V hybrid.
Glad to see you post. Congratulations on the new car.

Quite late in season blooms but, I’ll take it! what a lovely surprise to see today :)
Pretty flower. It is always nice when flowers you have planted finally bloom.

shocked to see the public tours are all spoken for already. Wow, same with the light’s on 6 house ones. rare to see them book up so fast.:confused3
I took a look and saw that too. I have been holding back on booking any tours. It is unusual for all the tours to be booked up this early as you said. I have decided to take a more laid back approach to HHN this year. If tours are available thats fine it not thats ok too. Remember in the past they have added more tours as they sold out.

Janet hope you feel better soon. There seems to be something going around for sure.

Glad to hear you were able to figure out what you needed for tickets for HHN. I have marveled a little at how much everything has gone up in price. I remember when you could get ROF with EP for $300.00 now it is over $500.00. Like anything else you pay for what your want, but this has been a major leap not a gradual climb.

I need that implant, hate to say it. I was bothered by that crown for years, it made an appearance on two trip reports, now the bridge is failing, so implant it is.
I hope all goes well with your implant Carole.

I hope Tom starts feeling better.

I had little J yesterday for a half day. We had a wonderful time out shopping. We did go to the Mall for play time as it was to hot to play outside. He has developed an occasional cough so he has picked something up. Hoping this does not turn into anything major.

We did go by Build a Bear a get another dog. This one he named Fluffy. It has one green eye and one blue eye. That is why he wanted it. Have to say it is really cute.

While we were in Target he saw a Jurassic Park truck and I bought him that too. He really likes the truck.

Did not sleep well last night. About 2 this morning hubby woke me up as he was sleeping pretty fitfully. Not normal for him, but I did not want to wake him. So a nap is in the cards today.

I did get the car serviced late yesterday afternoon. It was time. The dealership we bought it from are always so nice. Anytime you have your car serviced they will clean and detail it.

I have a few inside projects to do today.

Get well wishes for all who are in need of them.

That muppet tune is infectious!

Good luck to her tomorrow then, hope it goes well and she loves it. And hope your doc appointment went well, best getting these things checked out.

Have a wonderful Tuesday everyone.
Thanks Robbie......

Yes, BBW have opened several stores in the UK now, and it`s wonderful to be able to get their products without waiting till America. We don`t do Halloween in a big way over here so I`m wondering how much they`ll stock here and sell. I`ll be buying for sure!!

I`m lucky I can give a lot of my baking away or donate when we have village or church events, so I get the pleasure of baking but don`t eat all of it......lol.....so tempting!!

Hope you manage a nap today, I did have 20 minutes myself, but the sofa in our bedroom is only meant for sitting, definitely not snoozing!! And glad you had a lovely time with the little guy, they are so precious!

We`ve been watching the fourth and fifth Potter movies today, onto the 6th after I eat dinner which is going to be a mini quiche I made earlier with some salad, Tom still isn`t eating but have made him a little broth from the chicken noodle soup, not sure he`ll eat it, but hopefully he will.

So, rain did arrive this afternoon after a lovely morning so managed a little baking while movie watching, but running up and down stairs and all the way through to the kitchen is not much fun!!

But, I`ll have some lemon cake with a pot of tea, Tom will take some tea, least it`s something.

And after all the rain, the sun is shining again, looks lovely out there now.
