Hope this is encouraging. I just looked up the status of our mke to Atlanta and now they have gate numbers listed for both.

For a short time today SW took down the travel advisory message for Mon were set to fly on tues.
Which the weather sounds worse on tues then Mon. Tues is more of a wintery mix

The weather reports really haven’t changed much for the last week.
We were all set with plan b where we would change and leave on Mon we’ll now we cant even do that since we don’t leave till tues which isnt part of the advisory yet. I’m sure soon it will be
Sorry for the rant. Again but this just drives me crazy.
Yet part of me thinks we’ll get out just fine.
Fingers crossed

Did you even look to see what airports are affected for Monday's advisory? It's all in the Central US. Aren't you in the North East? As explained in the other threads, your airport has to be affected.

I think you need to just take a deep breath and relax. You're WAY overthinking this.

I’m trying to stay calm it’s not working too good though
I’m actually in the midwest wi to be exact and Milwaukee is affected for Mon nothing for tues yet but I’m sure that’s coming
I wish SW woukd have kept the advisory in since they’ve calling for this mess for a few days.

I can be hard to understand your posts (again, would be easier if you didn't keep starting new ones for the same topic) but I don't understand the bolded bit - SW still has the advisory on for Monday (and, based on what you've said, never had it on for Tuesday). So, what did they remove?

They took out the advisory for Mon sometime today which is sun.and later today put it back in. Our flight day of tues was never listed as of yet even though the weather sounds worse on tues then on Mon.
I just thought now that they had the advisory listed last week for Thurs and Fri at the same time.
I know I am probably over thinking this
but I don’t like the uncertainty
At least our flight is early. Maybe we can get out before it gets to bad.
Again sorry for all the confusion when I get upset I get like this and just ramble
Most of all thanks for listening

Don’t feel bad about planning and the weather cause it is crazy changing
And is important to chech up on , just in case .
Heck I think I even worry about the gate changes when I’m actually at the airport ! Haha…
oops Now I gave you more to worry about !
Best wishes for a safe journey

Just got the dreaded notice that our flight for tomorrow was cancelled
But this is the part that doesn’t make sense is SW rescheduled us still for tomorrow the flight leaves just 10 minutes earlier then original but we have to change planes which isn’t the worst thing
But what we think is strange is if it’s weather related how can we be booked for the same day
My DH thought that if the plane we were supposed to get at 705 couldn’t make it in. They might have gotten one to start in MKE

Your original flight could have been planned to originate tomorrow in MKE. If it could not get in today (or early tomorrow), it would not be there for an early (7:00ish) start tomorrow. The plane you are now scheduled on is scheduled to get to MKE either tonight or earlier tomorrow.

its funny cause now Im stalking the new flights
but for "fun" I checked the flights before ours
the original flight the one that got cancelled
all the flights before ours that you had to make a connection
are all still on schedule
this is so very stressful

Even if it's weather related, it may not be because of weather at YOUR airport. And weather is only one possibility. It could be a mechanical issue or a crewing issue (can't get crews to your airport).

So they've cancelled the non stop. You have to make a connection. How long is the layover? At what airport? THATS what you should be concerning yourself about. There's no sense in worrying about other flights at this point. You should be looking at flight aware for the two flight numbers (the original and the connecting) today and yesterday, and possibly the day before. They should show you what gates at the connecting airport.

ETA: The gates will probably not be identical each day, but should give you the idea of what concourse/area they'll go from/to.

All good points. Thanks. With the new flight we leave mke. At 650am. Arrive Atlanta 955am. 1pm leave for Orlando. I still have a bit of hope we get out before the worse hits.
Good point too about looking up our flights to get an idea on things.

Sorry not sure what happened I tried to edit to add something and for some reason it went into the title

A three hour layover in Atlanta? On Southwest? I wouldn't bother looking up gates. SW has ~1/2 of C(?) concourse. It should take you less than 10 minutes to go between gates (probably closer to 5). But with three hours, you have plenty of time to go to any other concourse and get a sit down lunch/brunch.

That’s just what we’re planning on is to unwind and have a nice lunch. The gates I was referring to were the ones for tomorrow the one out of Milwaukee and arriving in Atlanta. In all of our trips this is the first we’ve ever cancelled and the weather issues in mke. Sure hope this works out
Im sure I’ll be up most of the night checking my phone

I had no issues landing in MKE on Monday, but did hear that some other places weren't fairing nearly as well. That 7am flight to MCO is always the first flight of the day for that plane, either the plane didn't make it in or didn't make it in early enough for the crew to be able to fly at 0705. The ATL flight is always scheduled at that time, and must have had quite a bit of excess capacity if you got on it with no issues. Flying MKE-ATL-MCO was my backup plan last week, but on Delta where they have hourly flights from ATL-MCO.

Well I’m happy to say after one cancelled flight rescheduled. Then another change since the advisory came up for weather we finally got out tues night on a 620pm flight.
So happy to be here. Finally
I’m sure you are too since you won’t have to read my ramblings anymore
Actually our flight was great at that time nothing is busy. Some places were closed but it didn’t bother us

On the last change since we had EBCI we got position B 8 and 9. That’s how empty the plane was we along with most got rows to themselves. Which was great as we had a horrible flight coming back from London I actually wrote bro BA and they refunded 200$ which was a surprise.
I had more room on SW then BA
Thanks again the advice and listening

A8 and 9 can't be obtained through EBCI. That is only available through Business Select Purchase or through upgrade at T-24. Curious thing certainly.

Sorry but I just noticed and corrected should have been B. Not A
When was your flight rescheduled? If it was within 36 hours I'd be calling SW and asking for a refund of your EBCI. EBCI checks you in and assigns you a boarding position at that time, if you miss it, especially if your flight was rescheduled within 24 hours of take off, you didn't get what you paid for.

Thanks for the tip. However when SW cancelled our first flight on Mon before I could even ask about that the agent already told we would get a refund.
