Disney’s Animal Kingdom has a new series of s’mores snacks available throughout the park.

These are the new treats and where they’re located:

S'mores churro from Tamu Tamu Refreshments'mores churro from Tamu Tamu Refreshments

The S’mores Churro is rolled in chocolate dust, sugar, and salt. It’s topped with dollops of whipped cream covered in graham cracker dust and semisweet chocolate chips. There is also an extra dollop of whipped cream on the side as well as marshmallow dipping sauce in a container.

As per usual, the Walt Disney World churro is disappointingly tough and not the soft churro we hope for. The chocolate dusting is a little out of control and overpowers any s’mores flavor. There are nods to the classic campfire treat in the graham cracker dust and the marshmallow dip.

This treat is a must-do for any Disney Churro aficionado but probably not for anyone else. Steer clear if you don’t like sweet and salty combinations.

Prepare for a mess if you must eat this. But it is skippable. We rate it a 2.6/7.

S’mores Dessert Pizza – $6.79

The S’mores Dessert Pizza is a delicious alternative to some of the more typical Disney desserts. The pizza is made on normal pizza dough with browned butter and brown sugar. On top is chocolate, graham cracker, and toasted marshmallow.

We liked the dough and graham crackers the most. It honestly tasted like an elevated French toast, likely because of the pizza dough, butter, and brown sugar. Because of that, it’s a good treat for anyone who likes French toast or s’mores.

The pizza dough offers a subtle base that makes this treat friendly for most. But like the churro, don’t bother if you dislike sweet and salty combinations.

We do prefer this over the churro. We rate it 4.4/7.

S’moresosaurus Shake – $8.49

Vanilla Shake with Chocolate and Caramel Drizzle topped with a Chocolate-dipped S’more, Toasted Marshmallows, and Graham Cracker Crumbs and rimmed with Chocolate Fudge Sauce and Graham Cracker Crumbs
S'moresosaurus Shake'moresosaurus Shake

The S’moresosaurus Shake is a vanilla milkshake with chocolate and caramel drizzle, topped with a chocolate-dipped s’more (decorated with a dinosaur), toasted marshmallows, and graham cracker crumbs. The rim has chocolate sauce and graham cracker dust.

This is a wild shake! At first, we tasted only the vanilla shake but as it had more time to melt together, the caramel and chocolate were more prominent. If you are trying to get that s’mores taste, you will want to put a marshmallow in your mouth before sipping.
S'more on top of s'mores milkshake'more on top of s'mores milkshake

The chocolate-covered s’more on top is dark chocolate around two graham crackers with marshmallow in the center. The green dinosaur on the s’mores (ours was upside down) is white chocolate. This was our favorite part of the dessert.

It tastes like a typical milkshake with extra flavoring that makes it an interesting alternative. It is very sugary and not for the lactose-intolerant. We rate it a 4/7.

S’mores Hot Cocoa – $3.99

The S’mores Hot Cocoa is Joffrey’s hot chocolate with whipped cream and graham cracker dusting on top — so it’s basically a normal hot chocolate from Joffrey’s. The only thing that gives it anything near a s’mores taste is the graham cracker dust, but you only taste that if you scrape it off the top. When you take a regular sip, it doesn’t come through.

This is just an extra sugary hot chocolate. It’s edible but unnecessary and doesn’t even make for a good picture. Order a regular hot chocolate for $3.79 and save 20 cents. We give it a 1.2/7.
What's up with the WDWNT ratings system? Even if you ignore the overly-harsh ratings, who gives ratings from out of a possible 7? Why not out of 5 or 10?

I'm mad because that looks gorgeous and Paris is far.
But DLP is cheap compared to WDW.

We go to WDW at least once a year (going for 2 weeks in November), but went to DLP for the first time last June. We loved it and are planning another trip next year. I was checking on what next year's trip would be and had 5 days at Sequoia Lodge (stayed there in June) or Newport Beach. Room, Park tickets (both parks for 2), under $1700. Same 5 days at POFQ with tickets, $3000.

And DLP has really cool drone shows!

Okay, correction. The construction started two years ago lol

Also it's a prep kitchen and not expanded seating?? I found this update post from WDWNT:

Odd choice seeing as that QS has little to no seating but whatever I guess.
Are you talking about Universal Orlando? If so, they are dismantling Woody's coaster and replacing it with a Dreamworks play area with Trolls, Shrek, Kung Fu Panda and Madagascar characters.

No I was talking about Woody's Lunchbox, the quick service in Hollywood Studios.

So, why does nobody care about it before they are closing it? Maybe if these folks made it a point to see the Bears on every visit.... 🙂

They arent closing it though, just changing the songs. You can want to see it one last time ans still have gone every trip. Lots of people just never do it, same probably won't do the new version.

Much as I love the CB, we can all agree some of the songs are problematic and probably should have been changed long ago.

Well, I don't think they are problematic, but they are certainly dated. I'm not against the refurb at all and it is obviously warranted. I just think it's funny that all these people want to show up today to watch it.

It's similar to how Universal permanently closed Poseidon's Fury last year and the last day had EVERYONE riding it (is riding it even the right word? Experiencing it?) Before then literally no one cared.

I did like how they sold a t shirt for the closing date. I wish Disney did that with their attractions. I know they did that with Great Movie Ride as I own that shirt.

I love the Bears as much as anyone, but idk if having a song about wanting to shoot a child can still be seen as non-problematic (even if it is funny).

Yeah, I got a "Stormrider Forever" post card at Tokyo Disney as it was closing very shortly after I was there. I like the comemorative stuff.

Probably a lot of locals or people with trips already planned. Back when I had an AP and there were rumors they were going to straight up close it, I would have flown from Seattle for one park day to see it. Refurb and having just seen it in Tokyo in Sept I'm good. Not that I understood all of it. But I would like WDW to put out merch when it reopens.
