With another lovely 65 degree day here today in "the Springs" I'm looking forward to Independence Pass opening in 6 weeks or so:

This was the snow depth on 5/31/16 along Rt. 82 about a week after it opened last year.

Thanks! Python Fan obviously has a better lens than I do and had better seats. I don't remember doing anything special. I have a Canon T3 and used the P setting it gave me an ISO of 2500 and a shutter speed of 1/15 and an F stop of 6.3.

I had a Nikon D750 and a Nikon 24 - 70 f/2.8 VR lens.
I think the show is worth a Fastpass if it's your first time. I would try to get a seat on the 3rd or 4th row from the front.
I shot Manual Mode with AutoISO to a max of 3200, f/3.5 at 1/60s. Most of my shots came back at ISO 1600.

I'm guessing the next visit will be sometime during the summer. ::yes::

She owns a dog grooming shop and is SWAMPED with work now; bless her heart, she's been working until 7-7:30 most evenings! :faint:

Early summer months are slower times so I look for the "we're going to Colorado" message then. :goodvibes
