Thanks for the highlighter tip. I wasn't going to bring one because I figured with just the two of us adults, I wouldn't need it. Guess I'll be packing one!
I remembered reading on here that the closet had a Velcro strip, and sure enough, there it was. I also learned from the DIS to pack a pop-up portable laundry bag. I did, and here it is. Best tip ever! It worked great!
what pray tell is the velcro strip and what is it used for?
my dh and i are going on our first cruise to the med this summer.... just the two of us both 25 and both wondering why i am so crazy about the mouse

Hi Funnybunny,
There's a small strip up in the top corner of the edge of the closet doors. It touches the opposite strip on the edge of the closet. I'm assuming it's so the doors can't slide open if there were rough seas. I noted it on the first day, but never had to worry about it since our seas were as smooth as glass.
The hamper tip is completely separate. It has nothing to do with the velcro, lol.
thanks... makes sense, i hope we won't need to use it, though i don't know if the folks on the transatlantic have been so lucky...
Where did you get the pop-up hamper, how big was it? I wasn't planning on getting one b/c the suitcase space is precious going over to europe, but it seems like such a good idea.... both DH and I have old laundry sacks and I was thinking of taking one of them but the pop-up fits so nicely in the closet.
Another question... I am thinking of using the pressing/laundry/dryclean service... can they just press something that is already clean? And is there a price difference between that and the dry cleaning?
Thanks so much!
Great trip reports! I snorted when I just read your post about taking really deep 1-2 hour naps. DH and I did the same thing on our Wonder trip. We felt drugged; I dunno what it is. It would have been great -- considering how deeply we slept -- except for everything we kept missing. That and the one or two times we showed up at dinner with pillow creases still on our faces. We're taking another DCL cruise in May '08, and we've sworn to not nap unless it's an emergency. We figure the only way to do this is to ban all access to the cabin during the day -- which means you can find us by looking for the 2 snoring lobsters around the adult pool.
Can't wait to read the rest of your report!
Hi,
I looked at your photos on your link and I know we were on the same cruise, but I have so many of almost identical photos. Even the ones sailing away from St. Thomas through the rainbow. What were you, deck 7 midship too? I am going to have to post those on my TR. That is too funny!
