Sorry to be so long...both computers have crashed and just got
one back today.....so many other great reports have been done
since mine...I feel like its been sooooooo long....and it has....a month yesterday.

Anyway...impressions and thoughts and tips....

SECURITY - Excellent. I was very impressed by the security. We were stopped by a crew member as we drove up to the ship, he
asked if we were going on the cruise, he directed us to another crew member, he asked if all 3 of us were going on the cruise and asked to see our ID, he directed us to two crew members who checked our names off of the manifest and asked for our ID. DH
went to park and had to show his ID before he could get to the
terminal. We, of course, had to show ID to check in. As we walked through the EARS...there was a sniffer dog, Annie, we had
to show ID again as our KTTW card was swiped and then we went through bag security. We saw people being wanded..I don't know if it was random or there was a problem. When we
sailed, we were escorted by Sheriff's boats and Coast Guard cutters. The kids around us were disappointed there was no
helicopter. In ports, getting off and on the ship, you had to show
your ID and KTTW card, even at Castaway Cay. And I won't go
into the infamous Immigration at St. Thomas. There are several
other posts regarding this.

SERVICE - Excellent service. Our hostess, Lilia, was the best. She was always there when we needed something, kept our cabin clean and straight, kept us in ice and made towel animals
each night We left dd in our cabin while we went to see Disney
Dreams(she'd seen it with the Kids Club) and I honestly believe
Lillia stood guard outside our door while we were gone!!!!

There is nothing I can say about Vlado and Mark..that I haven't already said. THEY ARE THE BEST!! We now feel we have two
sons and dd still talks about them. We(or rather dh) usually
took Vlado's recommendations on food, and so did I sometimes.
We ordered at least 2-3 appetizers each night and dh always had
two entrees each night. Mark always remembered what we
wanted to drink and as soon as one glass was empty..another one appeared. Mark walked all over the dining room one night to find Natalie (dd) a purple crayon one night...they spoiled her rotten.

Marco in Palo's was wonderful. He decided dh should have two
entrees and brought them both. He also brought us the extra
desserts and a wonderful pizza appetizer.

Our "own personal" bar servers, Daniello, Ann Marie, Julia,
and Tri...the best and friendliest.

FOOD - The food was great every night. We actually enjoyed
Parrot Cay food the best. Palo's was great, as always, and we
also enjoyed High Tea in Palo's. We did not do brunch, but will
do that next time. DD and DH loved the pizza, hamburgers,
and ice cream on Deck 9. DH discovered Topsiders for breakfast.
We had always gone to the sit down restaurants for breakfast,
but he discovered he could have all he wanted to eat at the buffet, plus more variety. This was our 3rd cruise..and he was
just now discovering Topsiders. We also found out at the end
of the cruise, that Topsiders serves sit down dinners 3 or 4
nights on the 7 night cruise. The menu looked outstanding.

SPA - OUR FAVORITE. I got an Alpha Capsule and Foot and Ankle
massage...talk about heavenly!!!! We also bought the weeks
pass to The Rainforest and went every day. There is not a more
relaxing place in the world, I don't think.

SHOWS - The only one we didn't like was the Morty Magician show, but that is just our opinion. DD was magnificant as usual and like Barb, I always have tears in my eyes at the end. Hercules is getting a little tired..but it's still good. The variety
shows, we enjoyed a lot and went to see the comedian some at
night.

KIDS CLUB - DD enjoyed the club and made some friends. She
didn't go as much as usual...all she wanted to do was swim and
dh and I enjoyed sitting at the pool, watching her and chatting
with friends we had met on the ship and others we just struck
up conversations with. But she did do some things, like make
Flubber, the I Remember The Magic show, played on the computers.

PORTS - We only got off the ship in St. Thomas. We did a liquor
and cologne run and that was it. We just wanted to relax and enjoy the amenities of the ship.

CASTAWAY CAY - We lucked out again and got to dock. We just
enjoyed relaxing and being with friends. DD snorkeled for the
first time and can't wait to do it again. Cookies has the best
barbque food....the cookies are to die for!!! DD got four braids
and she was in heaven!!! I always have her hair braided on CC
because I believe these ladies are clean and I've never heard
of anyone getting head lice from CC hair braiding.

I had said at the end of my last daily report..I was going to say
something about "Lounge Chair" hogging. So, here goes....
there was a family we saw almost everyday at the pool. There
was an older couple(the parents/grandparents), two couples
with them, their children; and one of the couples 2 small children..and one of the "ladies" was very pregnant. I have no
idea how she got on board...she must have altered her papers
or she's going to have a HUGE baby!!! Anyway, they always
had a lounge chair for each person, including the babies; they
would put their stuff on chairs at a table and when they got
ready to eat..they would get up, get food and go sit at the table.
When they got done at the table..they would go back to the lounge chairs..until they were ready to eat again, etc, etc. etc. Finally, people got so annoyed at this...they were moving their stuff off the chairs at the tables. This was really the most annoying thing that happened on our cruise. It was just totally
ridiculous that they demanded all of these chairs and a table at
all times. But, after about day 4....people didn't put up with it
anymore and would just move their stuff and sit down and eat!!
I was lovin' every minute of it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I surely hope everyone who reads this has a great cruise and if
there are any questions.....if I can answer them...I will.

Looking forward to September 5, 3 night Wonder cruise..our first
time on the Wonder.

Phyllis

Thanks for telling us about the cruise. I enjoyed meeting you and your family.

Hi! I just read your trip report. Sounds like you had a great time! We are going on our very first cruise in April. You had mentioned that you went snorkeling. I was just wondering if we brought our own snorkeling gear if we still had to pay $25 to use Snorkel Lagoon? any idea?

We did not rent/purchase any snorkeling gear.

We met a very sweet couple while we were on board and they
took Natalie with them to snorkel. They had rented all the stuff
at CC for the day and offered to take her and teach her how...
and she had a blast.

When we go in September..I will borrow some gear from one
of my firefighters(I work for the fire department) and she can
go again. I believe you can buy it and take it on board with
you too.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

I am travelling with my wife, four kids and my mother in law. On "at sea" days, what time do I have to get to the pool to get a lounge chair? Thanks.

Sounds like you all had a great time. Did you play much Bingo this time? I hope Natalie had a wonderful birthday, Ashley misses her. Maybe we can get it together again for another 7 day Magical Cruise.
