Cedar Point is great! I'd go more often, but it's difficult to get to from Chicago.

Thanks for posting this, Mike!

(And how long has it been since it's been called EPCOT Center?)

Wow! Never been, but that has to be some kind of record!

Next year I'm definitely going to have to do a trip to CP! The other day I was thinking how many times I've lived near an amusement park. I was born in Sandusky, home of Cedar Point. Live a year in Gurnee, IL, home of Six Flags Great America. Now Pittsburgh, home of Kennywood. I can see some of the rides at Kennywood when I drive across the bridge when I go to work. Next up... Orlando!!

What's Kennywood like? I never heard about it until I started thinking of moving to Pittsburgh. I grew up near Cedar Point but it's been a long time since I've been close enough to an amusement park to do a day trip!

we will hopefully get to CP in the next couple of years. Probably just fly up and spend the week there so we dont have to be in a hurry and can take a day off here and there if we want.

What's Kennywood like?

Very small traditional amusement park. But it has a few things going for it.

Some great wooden coasters built into the hills of the area, I think at least two of them leave the station going down hill, as the chain lift is in the middle of the ride.

To my knowledge, the only Noha's Ark attraction still in operatioin.

Some great classic rides, including the catterpiller.

Overall, a great day to spend 3/4 of a day!

Mike pretty much summed it up well. It's no roller coaster fiesta like CP. It's ok though. I'm thinking of going to Kennywood on Sunday. I have a ticket I bought for our work picnic but didn't go and it expires on Sunday.

We just got back, a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time. It is a very nice park and just breathtaking views. Incredible park very clean and workers are very nice.

Lots for everybody, but really geared to roller coaster fans.
If you guys like my daughters would love to give feedback.

My oldest loved the costers. both loved gem mining. Youngest loves drivig antique and race cars.
