2015 FREE DINING THREAD _ All Questions HERE!!

Another quick question, IF MK close a 7 because of halloween party, if I dont have a ticket for this party, can I still book a table at BOG or CRT at let say 6 oclock

So, i just went to the Raise site (i have never heard of it)---so, I buy say $238 of someone's partial ecard for Target that is 4.7% off. Then, I go to the Target Site, and buy $250 worth of Disney cards, and put the Target Red Card in, I will get 5% off the whole amount still? Seems like double dipping, but I like it! I will then have to investigate what you are talking about wtih ebates . . .
It is a bit like double dipping, I suppose. I've been able to get the red card discount without even using the redcard, just gift cards. Target GCs are lower now, but when Disney ones are sold out, the Target GCs can get up to about 7% off. You just have to keep an eye.

I think so but I believe you and your family would be escorted out of the park after you ate dinner. This might not be so fun for your family and perhaps a bit uncomfortable. It it was me, I would try to schedule my BOG dinner for a non-party night so I didn't have to deal with this.

samsteele is right. You can and you will be escorted out after dinner. Wishing you luck on your ADR'S!

It appears, as people cancel reservations, Disney puts the room back in inventory. I just cancelled a discounted RO reservation at POP and it's now available to book online. This is new to me. I dropped a day off a discounted RO reservation in February and I never saw it listed again online.

ty..lol it is just in case it s the only night we can have BOG lol

So I am going through these boards and I am sort of irritated at the inconsistency of Disney. Last year when at Disney, I called to get a FD BB for POR which was offered for my check in date but ended before my check out date. The CM told me that Free Dining would only apply for the dates the offer was valid and not the entire stay (Nov 2015). Since I figured she knew what she was talking about and did not want to pay full price the second half of the vacation I did not book. Now I am thinking she was wrong and could have had my preferred resort and no headaches trying to get FD with this release. The thought of this frustrates me everyday.

Now I was lucky and scored a room at CBR but only a preferred room vs. standard. I stayed at CBR last year and do not mind the walk. I really wanted a standard to save on money since we were forced to buy hoppers which we will not use. I am confused how I was not able to get a standard when I was on the site at 4:50 am est. I see from others people's post they were able to score standard way later than me. Good for them but not sure why I was not able to reserve when clearly I was online before them? We will still go, but only saving about $200 over the RO discount. Still better than nothing, but not nearly the $1k savings last year. I am still hoping I can score a standard room but not holding out much hope. Then again, I may really enjoy the shorter walk.

Unless BB offers are different, the CM was wrong. With the free dining plan you get the dining for the entire length of your stay as long as your check in date falls within the available dates. For example, I check in on October 2 but I have free dining for the whole week even though that is the last available day.

Not all rooms were available for all dates at the release of the offer. I got a POP premium room Monday morning right when the offer came out because that's all that was available for my dates. Others for other dates reported being able to get one. It all depends on how many of that room type were already booked. Keep checking because room availability has fluctuated all week.

So I hope this is a good sign, but I just got an email from Disney regarding my use of modification. They wanted my opinion on everything. I'm hoping a lot of people got it and they take our thoughts into consideration!

I, so behind now- I thought the last thread about FD was deleted after Monday morning but I just now saw this thread! Now I have to catch up!

I have to say.. Tomorrow is my 180 mark and I<m sooo nervous really want CRT and BOG
:scared:
I know my week which my 180 opened Wednesday, if you don't mind having lunch it was open all week. I know some people want dinner, but I've done both an honestly I liked the pace of lunch better. Unless of course you have to have your picture taken with Beast, that's the only big benefit I see with dinner.

Yes you can get the 6pm reservation but you will be stopped constantly on your way out of the park to be checked for wrist band if not actually escorted out of the park. We did this for a Crystal Palace reservation and I ended up walking with my arm up saying "I'm not staying just passing through every time I saw a CM." The CMs were working pretty hard to check wrist bands. I think if I had kids with me it might have taken away some magic but I was prepared and knew the rules. I don't try to break them. This was a Christmas Party we walked through. I don't know if Halloween is different as in more strict.

I wish there were a way to search by property and then it tell you what dates are available.
Ya me too but more so wish there was a way to say "Is XX restaurant available for dinner any day during my stay?"
But on the property, I like the booking places for other vacations that a calendar came up and showed you which days were available vs taken.
I think the hard part of Disney is that people don't just stay the standard Saturday through Saturday in a room. So the complexity of how many rooms and # of combinations must be one heck of a programming nightmare.

This is what I was afraid of. I had a feeling she was wrong and should have booked anyway. Hard $1000 lesson to learn. Should have asked the boards before checking out!

I had already lunch last trip in 2013 whant there was fast pass reservation so I<M hopping to try diner beacuse..well you know.. to say I did it :P

We chose CBR over CSR because of the pool and it being newly refurbished. I love the look of the new rooms! But it was a hard decision with most other things being equal.
We had grandparents and kids last year and decided on CSR because CBR has no elevators and my mom has a bad knee and has trouble with stairs. We were deciding between the two this year again until I saw that CBR had 8 BUS STOPS:faint:
That made the decision to go back to CSR easy because we thought 4 stops seemed to take forever, I can't imagine 8. Plus we loved CSR in every way except they did have a pretty limited food court.

:rotfl2:
Do you know my husband? I think right now he is working on that mode.
So ok other than going to have your picture taken with Beast, the other advantage is to say "I had dinner at BOG". :rotfl2:

:wizard: wishing you pixie dust in your adventures to get a dinner reservation. I'm happy with lunch even though it wasn't in my plan, but DH friend had lunch there and so now DH has to do that. Then again I did it when FP+ test was out too and he didn't. I'm not complaining cause it was good.

:umbrella:

ON the topic of checking to see if you have an UOC when you didn't get an email or snail mail notification........

So those of you that called and got an UOC, did you end up with the email or snail mail a week later?

Just wondering.

Someone try and sell me on CRT. Can't justify 2 credits, but we've never done it. Is it worth it?
