3 Hour Parking at Resorts?

We're going to visit some Disney resorts, first BW to hit Big River then the Contemporary to start a Monorail Pub Crawl. Can we park at BW and Contemporary for free for 3 hrs or less? Also, if we were to pay to park at DHS would that fee get us into all park and resort parking lots?

Thanks,

They don't charge for resort parking for the purpose of dining. Only overnight guests (with a vehicle) will be charged the daily resort parking fee. DVC Members staying on points (regardless of resort) or at a DVC resort (regardless of payment method) will not be charged the daily resort parking fee.

If you pay to park at a theme park, you can park at other theme parks on that same business day for free. It doesn't carry over to resort parking.

Disney resort guests still get free parking at the theme parks.

Parking at near park resorts may be limited depending on availability. During COVID, they have generally blocked entries unless you were verified as staying there or had a dining reservation.

If you pay to park at a theme park, you can take Disney transportation from the theme park to whatever resorts you like. Resort parking is primarily for the overnight guests of that resort and short term parking for dining or shopping.

Depending on the time of day (it's not an option for breakfast anyway), you might also park at DS and take a bus to visit a resort.

Where are you staying?

Even before covid, Disney was wise to the fact that some people tried to 'game' the parking system (to avoid the parking fee) by parking for free at a resort and then spending all day at a park. Those actually staying at that resort would then have trouble finding parking. You were allowed a max of 3 hrs parking at a resort IF you had an ADR at that location. There are many older threads on this topic. Don't know if covid has caused any further restrictions. Some were able to get away with this during slow times, while others were not.

Wifey called BW desk and was told no ADR, no parking. All we wanted to do was hit Big River for drinks and lunch then do a monorail pub crawl. In the end we paid to park at DHS, had our lunch, rode the Skyliner as a 'ride' having taken a Friendship boat from DHS. We then drove to MK but were parked WAY back with no shuttle, same as DHS except we were close there. We're healthy old f@rts and do a several miles walk daily but we bagged the monorail thing. We're staying in a villa in Davenport with a pool so we just went home. Town Tavern in Celebration today. Are shuttles a thing of the past? We have relatives arriving next week, they want to do the monorail thing but they can barely waddle a city block.
