Hi just a couple of things!!

Just want peoples opinions of Virgin Atlantic over the past few years i flew with them back in 1998 using the Manchester to Orlando service! and i a just wondering how worse/better the airline has got in the past 4 years any opinons would be appreciated!!

I am right in thinking its Over 21's that can drink over there?????
Poor Paul will have to do without for two weeks cos hes only 20 :) lol can you confirm this for me???

If i think of some more questions i'll post them later :)

Hi

I've travelled with Virgin 3 times over the past 4-5 years. There's no big thing that I can really put my finger on, but I do think the high standards that they were once known for have declined. My last trip was with BA and in my opinion, I think they have the slight edge. However, in saying that, I am flying with Virgin next year - best price!

With regard to alcohol - it's going to be a dry week for Paul. The age to buy drinks is 21. A lot of places ask for ID, so if you are mid 20's or look particularly youthful, I would take your passport as proof of age.

You can probably get round the ID problem as long as the person actually buying the drinks has ID ( you can always say he left his at home if the rest of the party have the documentation).

Many bars and restaraunts are very strict with regards proof of identify and alcohol. They are far more stringent than we are here.

I would not recommend trying to use the ' oh he's left it at home ' routine - it's no fun being knocked back in any crowded bar !!

It's even harder when there's only 2 in the party.

'You pays your money and takes yer chance' as the old saying goes.

They simply won't let you buy drinks for others. One person, one ID, one drink.

Debbie is right - they are VERY strict.
one person - one drink - one i.d

IMHO Virgin are the BEST airline to fly to Florida with. My brother, Chris is deaf and the cabin crew were so friendly, they provided the things which clip on to his hearing aids when we flew and were very supportive when he had a problem with his ears in the air. The food was o.k for airline food and prem. economy was an amazing bonus. I highly reccomend Virgin Atlantic for your next holiday. Also Virgin Holidays, the representatives were amazingly generous and solved any queries we had, and even gave us some freebies!
