Adult & Child credits?

So, I gather that with the Dining Plan now, the room lists Adult and Child credits separately? So you can no longer use a Child credit for an Adult meal.
Can someone verify that?

Are the credits listed per person (that is each person can only use her allotment) or to the room? If you had 3 table service credits, could 1 person eat 3 table service meals in 1 day? Or would that 1 person only be able to use 1 table service credit in 1 day?

We are going in August and have a very complicated case involving 2 rooms, 3 families, different lengths of stay, different people in a room on different days and a child age two not on the dining plan.

The credits have always been listed separately on the room key, but they're still accounting for the credits in the information system together as a single bank of credits, AFAIK. There have been some reports that some places are enforcing the limits on the room keys, at one specific meal, but WDW hasn't gone all the way, yet, and started enforcing limits for the entire trip, i.e., having separate banks for adult and child credits.

Currently, there are not child credits or adult credits. There are TS, CS, and snack credits. Your KTTW card will say adult02, child 02 or whatever.

The credits are assigned to the room, not to the person. Some WDW servers are enforcing the idea that if a room key says adult 02, then you can order a maximum of 2 adult meals at a time. However, there is nothing at this point to prevent you from going to a CS counter and ordering 2 adult meals and then your husband going up and ordering 2 adult meals.

Since you have complex check out dates, etc. be sure that you use all of the meals on the card that will expire first before it runs out. If people in that room check out on Tuesday morning, be sure those meals are used before midnight Tuesday night. Don't let things expire unused.

Yes, one person could theoretically eat 3 TS meals in one day if the stomach would allow.
