Fares to Select Travel Destinations Starting at $49

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 17, 2002--AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI - News), today launched a one-day sale with 10-day advance purchase tickets to or from Baltimore/Washington (BWI), Dallas/Ft. Worth, Kansas City, Mo., Washington D.C. (Dulles) and Wichita, Kan. These fares are good for travel through February 11, 2003, and are available for purchase on October 17, 2002.
Like all AirTran Airways fares, these promotional fares require neither a roundtrip purchase nor a Saturday night stay. Travelers may purchase these special fares at airtran.com, through travel agents or AirTran Airways' reservations system at 1-800-AIR-TRAN. For Spanish, call 1-877-581-9842.
