Thinking about trying to geta couple nights club level for something special. I know it includes access to lounge with food. But what are the other benefits? I am interested in the sunrise safari. Has anyone done that - how does it work and what is the price?

We will be staying there this wed and thur. We also will be staying at CL studio in March next year. We have nine days booked. Can't wait. This will be our first stay in CL. Next years stay is 3/18 to 3/27 hope this will be good time of year to go. We will have our gd with us.:cheer2:

Club Level Amenities
  • Evening Turndown
  • Secured key access to the club-level lounge, serving refreshments 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily
  • Complimentary fax assistance
  • Opportunity to book and experience the Sunrise Safari Breakfast Adventure
  • Complimentary health club access
  • Pre-arrival Walt Disney World Resort itinerary planning
  • Personalized Front Desk and Guest Services
  • Access to Concierge service at the Kiliminjaro Club
  • Complimentary newspapers in Club Level lounge

I think the big plus is the ability to book the Sunrise Safari and to use the IP specialist to get those hard get reservations like BOG. And you check in direct at the Club Level. A CM will escort you to the Club Level for check in.

Everyone should try CL at AKV at least once. Short stays will let you experience CL without eating up extra points. The food and beverages are nice but IMO nothing special. Access to special events or tours should be taken advantage of.

The room locations and view are an issue. You don't get to request a view but will be given either a roof/part of pool view or the dead end savanna view.

I've been told several times that they have the same access and inventory that the public has.

I hope that you have a great time next week! We were planning to go March 16-21 but changed our mind and are now planning January 5-11 instead with our two daughters. We are also going in November with our son and friends.

I also think that club level rooms at AK Jambo booked with points receive daily housekeeping

Not only housekeeping, but full service. Meaning vacuuming, clean towels, make the beds, etc.

disfanforlife, be aware that the main issue applicable to club level is being able to actually get it. You usually need the 11 month home resort reservation window and even then it might be a problem. For example, you mention that you are going Jan 5-11. Club level is already completely full for that time. In fact, it is already full for that original time you had, March 16-21.

Thank you for that tip! I am a planner and not usually indecisive on our trip dates. This is the first year I am having such a hard time deciding. It is more difficult now that our kids are on different schedules from eachother. Was planning march now switched to January. Pros and cons for both. I would plan the club level for the next trip (2015) and we do own at AKV, so I will try at 11 months when the time comes.

We were able to book AKV Studio Club Level yesterday for Spring Break 2014 starting Friday, 3/28/2014 through Friday, 4/4/14 and we added a night this morning for check-out on 4/5/14.

AKV is our home resort and DH has mad skills! Love that man.

I can say that the 1 bedroom DVC CL are available it was the Studio CL that are so hard to get even at the 11 month window.

We were checking the DVC website to see what was available each day and the studio CL for that days booking was never available. So we knew we would have to book as soon as the website opened at 8am. DH was poised and ready to go. He had all information filled in and he kept refreshing using the Control R feature and when 3/28 popped up he jumped on it. This morning we checked the website and DVC Studio CL is currently available for booking at todays 11 month window.

Good Luck!

Wow, sounds great! Hope you enjoy it. Would love to hear about it after your trip.:)

I couldn't get on until 9:15 the day of my 11 month booking and missed our dates for AKV CL studio - all gone in an hour and 15 minutes. Guess next year I'll have to go into work late. :) We took a value studio instead, which we love too - but will look fondly upstairs at all of you who were online at 8am (now I know who got those studios, since it sounds like a lot of you are going the same week in March :lmao:).

We stayed in a studio in the AKV CL for spring break 2011 and it was amazing. We loved everything about it, and highly recommend the Sunrise Safari. We had the first studio right outside the lounge, so were able to roll out and easily grab breakfast every day. Full housekeeping every day, like a "regular" resort, and when we wanted to make a last minute dining change, worked with the concierge at the desk to find something. As a bonus, DS loved pin trading with the concierge, who gave him lots of one-on-one advice on trading strategy.
