any comments about room #'s 6642 or 6640 on the Wonder

I'm sailing on the Wonder 1-24-01 any advice for a first time cruiser.

We were in 6628 which is about 8 staterooms toward midship from yours. I found that location to be quiet with little foot traffic. It is very close to the elevator area and to the stairs. Good location. Lifeboat drill was also in Animators Palate, instead of standing outside in the heat. Have fun

As far as tips, go to EntropyM's web site (<a href="http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/entropym/pages/">link</a>) and download his "Magical Disney Cruise Guide". This is the most comprehensive compilation of unbiased DCL information in a single document. It's available in HTML, Microsoft Word, and plain ASCII text. We downloaded it and read it cover-to-cover. And if you still have questions after reading his document, come back to the boards and ask. We can probably help you out.

We have been in 6652 a couple of time (a few doors down from where you'll be), and we really liked it. I liked being aft because it tends to be pretty peaceful and quiet...not a lot of hallway traffic. Also, there is nothing too noisy overhead. Sounds like you got a good location.
A verandah hint...the best way to start the day is to pre-order coffee & rolls from room service and enjoy them out there.
