Any pics yet of Dream aft balconies?

Used 9170 on the March 3-6 cruise! My mom booked 9170 because it was handicapped accessible, but she ended up not going on the cruise.

We were booked guarantee after we upgraded from 9A to 6B. DCL assigned us the HA cabin...have no idea why...

Just got off the dream, we were in 9174 & 9176. we watched fireworks from deck 12, but my mom (in 9176) was able to see the fireworks from her veranda!!

It used to be that in order to book an HA room, you had to call DCL, or have a travel agent do it for you. They weren't available to book online.
AND...you had to send in a medical form stating that you had the need for an HA room.

Now...the rooms can be booked online, and DCL isn't insisting on the medical forms. So anyone could book those rooms, just to get the larger balconies. It's really, really irritating!!
I hope that the people who've booked these rooms and don't have the need for them feel guilty.

To the OP....9170 is the room I'll have on the Fantasy in June, so it was nice to see the pictures. But....and this is just my personal feeling, so I'd appreciate not getting flamed.....once your Mom canceled, I really think you should have switched rooms so that someone with "needs" could have had it. JMO

Can you tell me any more about these rooms? They both have the drop down from the ceiling bunk, but no murphy beds, right?

I've seen some reports saying that you'd feel like you were in a fishbowl here. Can the people on deck 10 see down to your balcony? Can you see down to deck 8?

Do you have any other pictures you could share?

Also, any tips for getting to places on the ship?

It'll be our first cruise, and I chose these cabins based on the balcony size, but am a bit worried about being so far away from everything. (Not that I'll change them!)

Any tips are greatly appreciated!

I guess it depends if your neighbors are nosy or not...
The closer you get to the railing the more people could see you.
