Welcome to another Stringbean&Wingnut Trip Report!! (Please select a row and move all the way down, filling in every available seat.)
Im Stringbean (aka Sara), and I will be your host through this epic journey of so much food that I seriously thought wed have to (gasp) cancel one of our dinner ADRs.
(Dont worry. We made it. And ate all of our meals.)
(Phew.)
Here I am, along with my awesome fiance, Wingnut.
Speaking of fiance: hence the purpose of our trip to plan our Disney wedding!!! ( But you figured that out already from the title, didn't you?) This trip was approximately a 50/50 split of wedding meetings and whatnots to park touring, so this was a bit of a differently-paced trip for us than usual, but it was all fun and exciting and magical.
Except for the whole hurricane thing.
Right before we were slated to leave on our trip, Hurricane Sandy began brewing and threatening to wreak havoc with our trip (and my sanity). We somewhat (overly) obsessively checked the weather online (Is every 20 minutes obsessive? How about every 3?), crossed our fingers and our toes (can anyone actually do that? Dont tell me if you can, feet creep me out.), and with faith, trust, pixie dust, and our vacation insurance in hand, headed to Florida. Thankfully, the storm did not impact our travel plans at all, but it was surreal to be in Florida watching all of the happenings from afar. (Also thankfully, we did not return home to any damage. Planty, our dragon fruit plant from Epcot, did an excellent job of holding down the fort.)
Planty:
(We dont have kids or pets, so you lucky TR readers get pictures of our plant. Youre welcome.)
Anyways, I hope you will all join along on our latest adventure!!
