We had been evacuated from a cabin in 1999 due to a tropical storm following that big hurricane that closed the parks.
When we were returning from the parks, our bus driver told us all about it, and when we got to the cabin there was a phone message from the front desk, and then also printed instructions on our door.
All the people renting cabins were moved to the Contemporary, and all those camping were sent to the CSR. Since we were there with my brother and his family who were in a pop-up we asked if we could be put together, and they were very nice and put us in adjoining rooms at CSR. It was for 1 night, but they told us if we wanted to stay for 2 there would be no charge. So we rode out the storm, went to Dis Studios the next day and the chilled out at the CSR pool, which is awesome. Then we went back to our cabin.
All in all I think they handled it pretty well.
