Therrrrrre it is.
Therrrrrre it is.
Excuses, excuses...So this is the thing.
I worked Sunday evening.
Monday during the day.
And then Monday midnight.
That's about 24 hours worked
in a 40 hour stretch.
I do have about 3/4 of the last
update done....
But it ain't happening tonight.
Been up since....
I'm too tired to remember since when.
Maybe tomorrow evening?
Maybe?
Possibly tonight....Excuses, excuses...
Alright, totally legit ones.
Take yer time. As I am well aware, we all have busy lives with stretches of busier times. Catch your breath and we'll be here when you do.
Oh, dear. Get some rest. We'll be here patiently-ish waiting!I'm too tired to remember since when.
Getting to work on it right now.Oh, dear. Get some rest. We'll be here patiently-ish waiting!
Great seeing you guys meet up. I didn't know your history on the Dis. Sounds interesting, a caption thread. I guess with Facebook now so many have moved away from the Dis, especially for "fun and games" type stuff like a caption thread. It was nice meeting you Darcy.
You had me at chocolate. It sounds like my kind of place. I do have a sweet tooth. In fact, they have the world's largest
chocolate fountain.
Friends of mine did that zip line. I would actually be tempted to do it, just to say I did.If you'd like to get a bird's eye view of the action.
You can take a zip-line down the full length
There's something all over your face but I'm not sure it's guilt! So do you always wear a red bathrobe on vacation or was that a prop they gave you?You can see it written all over my face, right
I seem to remember having mushy peas one time before. They didn't make much impression on me one way or the other. Probably something I should try again.I know! Peas! Who'd've guessed!
But it was actually really tasty!
Nothing wrong with that in my book. You may have won more but you might have lost it all.But I left the table $100 richer
than when I sat down.
This oughta be good...Let's see...
This trip happened over half a year ago...
And I took precisely zero notes.
I don't know... it depends where you are parked when you get it into neutral.Thankfully, I took a few photos while
we were there to jog my brain out of park.
Not that neutral is much of an improvement.
Just ruin all the fun...I personally think that the best part
of the restaurant is that the waitresses
are all dressed as naughty nurses.
And since:
1. This is a family board. And;
2. Ruby was with me.
I refrained from taking any photos of them.
Hmm... well, one would think so.If it was popular... wouldn't it be
almost impossible to get into
after just opening?
Apparently, if you don't finish your meal,
you will be subjected to a spanking.
Uhh....
To quote Danny Glover in every
Lethal Weapon movie ever made
(I believe there are 62 of them)
and subsequently every movie
he was in thereafter...
I'm too old for this shi..... stuff.
Well, that just makes me want to get on a plane and fly to Vegas so I can try it.How was it?
I can definitely give the food there
a resounding "Meh".
I've had wayyyy better burgers.
Not the worst, not even close.
But just... well, considering the hype,
a bit disappointing.
That says a lot right there.Oddly enough, the two original
Heart Attack Grills in Tempe, AZ
and Dallas, TX have closed.
And the one we visited,
lasted less than two months.
Darn. It's too bad they have them in wrappers. Otherwise, I'd just stick my head under the dispenser and pull the handle. I guess that's why they have them in wrappers.Again, light on the photos,
but I did take this one of
just the Hershey's Kisses.
Awesome! Sounds like a fun game to attend!Morning all.
Went for a coaster ride last night.
Well.... an emotional one, but it still counts.
My sister is in town for a visit
and she loves our football team.
So... nice to see her,
nice we went to the game together,
but not so nice when the opposing team
scores a touchdown with one minute
and forty seconds left on the clock
to take a 12 point 40-28 lead.
Oh, well...
I turned to her and said
"No problem.
Just march the entire length of the field,
score a touchdown,
get the ball back right away
with an onside kick,
and score another touchdown...
In a minute and a half."
So that's what they did,
winning 41-40.
Most insane ending to a game
I've ever seen.
I've done number 2 on more than one occasion. One of these days I'm going to do
one of two things.
1. Book a dessert party at Disney. Or;
2. Start with dessert and work my way backwards.
Some of you may have heard
of or even watched a show called
Pawn Stars.
Horny Mike is great! One of my favorites on the show. I'm glad you got to get a picture with him. There are a few characters that show
up on pretty much every episode.
Obviously Danny "The Count" Koker,
the owner of the shop.
And a few others, including this guy:
And I can kind of see Roli being like that too. Too bad he didn't want to play along. There's another guy who shows up
on occasion.
His name's Roli.
When I asked him for a photo,
he told me to buy a T-shirt
and he'd sign it.
1. Not what I asked.
2. I don't collect autographs... and I definitely don't want yours.
3. I did buy a T-shirt... and I don't want it ruined by someone scribbling on it.
Oh the joy...So we went... to the mall.
Just off the strip,
the Fashion Show Mall
houses about 250 stores.
I think we went in all of them.
Sounds like my kind of table. I'm not much of a gambler anyway so if I can sit there slowly playing, not losing money and drink for free... hey, why not?It must've taken over a minute
to deal out the 6 cards.
I think I played for about 5-10 minutes...
And played a grand total of two hands.
Good news is you won't go bust
very quickly sitting at her table.
You run the risk of dying of boredom...
But you won't go bust.
I'm glad you had a chance to meet up! At least I think you met up. Since you weren't in the picture. We at least know Darcy was there. It was nice meeting you Darcy.
And... question.
Am I going to be in trouble for
letting stuff happen in Vegas,
but not letting it stay in Vegas?
You've been spending too much time around @Captain_ObliviousHmmm... how about this.
There was a large poisonous snake
slithering through the lobby.
People were screaming
and running in panic.
I calmly walked up to the snake
and began to rhythmically move my hands,
effectively hypnotizing it.
Once the snake was swaying in synch
to my hand gestures,
I quickly grabbed it just behind the head,
avoiding the sharp fangs.
Moments later I had fileted the animal
and was serving up fricasseed snake
to the now cheering guests.
Want to see some photos?
Me too!
I spotted something when we walked down
to the end of the street.
And as we walked back, I stopped.
I looked at Ruby.
"Honey..... I have to.
I'm sorry. But the teen-age boy in me
is insisting that I do this."
She was a good sport.
Just shook her head sadly and said:
"Go ahead. Do what you have to do."
Heck. She's the one who took the photo!
Yikes... I don't blame you. I'd rethink that decision too.i.e. Gordon Ramsay Steak
... we jumped at the idea.
And then we saw the prices.
A bowl of soup alone is $17.
Don't ask about the entrees.
So we did a different restaurant
following in a similar vein.
Only in Vegas...We passed this store with
a rather large statue of Lady Liberty.
Made completely out of
Strawberry Twizzlers.
Because... why not?
Pro tip. When in a crowded casino,
always sit in an empty chair.
If you sit in one that's already occupied,
you will either get a very angry reaction
or a romantic proposal.
But it's a toss up on which one you're gonna get.
And best of all, this type of gamble doesn't cost you any money.Hmmm... then again... you are there to gamble.
I applaud your effort anyway. We never did find it.
Only after we were back home
did I find out they'd moved.
Oh, well.
(Great people watching... and you see
all kinds in Vegas!)
Oh, we all know what you meant.Thank you. From the bottom of my fart.
Heart! Heart!
I meant heart!
Another great report.
Vegas is awesome! I've done the zip line on Fremont, by the way.
Was a little disappointed when there was no picture of you in a clever costume zooming beneath the canopy.
But the pic of you in the robe with the bunnies made up for it though. Thank you for sharing.

More options than Casey's Corner though, no?Just a little shack with an extremely
limited menu.
Here it is, in its entirety.
Burger.
Hot dog.
Fries.
Milk shake.
Pop.
I need to go!!! Are there rules against jumping in?!In fact, they have the world's largest
chocolate fountain.
What?!?!?!? Sign me up!!!If you'd like to get a bird's eye view of the action.
You can take a zip-line down the full length
of the attraction.
I won't.A bowl of soup alone is $17.
Don't ask about the entrees.
Sweet!But I left the table $100 richer

Oh, we all know what you meant.
It was great finally meeting you as well and yes it was a fantastic burger.
For the record there many other pictures (but one in particular) in your final update that I like better than the one of me.
More options than Casey's Corner though, no?
I need to go!!! Are there rules against jumping in?!
What?!?!?!? Sign me up!!!
I won't.
Sweet!
Thanks for giving us a detailed account (okay, well an account with some details ) of your trip. Much enjoyed, as I do all your TRs
I made it back just in time to see the end of the story!
I checked in when you had the near disaster of being shut down. anyway thanks for recounting your Vegas Adventure!
I have to say, after several conventions there, I have no desire to return.
I've been really busy closing down one business at my old job and getting settled into my new one. Not so bad, just no vacation for awhile.
The kids are working on adopting a 7th child. Baby sister to their two youngest. Of course we will love her, but I don't feel like I have the energy to take care of 7. but they aren't asking us, until they need a babysitter.
I guess everything comes at a price, right?!Yes.
Shower first.
No clothes.
Still wanna?
