Neat, huh?
The "Boys of Zimmer"!
Exactly what I was thinking.KB looked like a baby then.
To get through this pitching aquisition I am telling myself it was more of a move to keep the Brewers from getting him than us wanting him.Sux blood has infiltrated the Friendly confines.Cease & Eloy are both a huge casualty in my book. Sigh...I get Theo going for the "now" so offense PLEASE make this bad juju worth it. I hope Q gels with the team & the cross town classic just got more tense lol
All those names there are so instantly familiar, like the 85 Bears team and the Jordan era Bulls teamsSo, I'm still cleaning and getting ready for the movers to come next week and I find this.

I will say Theo's ability to close a deal without giving up Schwarb's for a starter was oh so good. When he is dealing for an Ace, prob not the same outcome .With Theo doing his job of obtaining pitching, the rest of the team basically got called out now , to step up and do theirs. Schwarb's may not be the only name being thrown out there, even tho Theo really wants to keep this core together. So with Hendrick's still on the DL (for now) at least we can have the Monty/Butler duo to get through 7 tonight, lol. I almost wish Q wasn't pitching Sunday, as his number's against Baltimore are not that good, but then again he doesn't have to bat . A W sure would be nice tonight ~ lets see who relaxed enough vs who relaxed too much on the break.I saw this on FB today ...
please, PLEASE let the rumor be true that the Cubs are going after Sonny Gray!
( I can see the aforementioned Schwarb's or AAJ and maybe CandyMan as the offerings...this is so hard) I saw lots of #12 on clearance at a few stores...perhaps retail gets the inside scoop

on the up side, we had 10 hits and the bombs weren't all solo one's like before! If we could get everyone hitting at the same time, good golly Miss Molly... JHey and Willy's defense wicked again tonight and that play at 2nd by Javy being well, Javy, lol. Monty did great the first 3, but he just can't get through that brick wall of the 5th. The bullpen , even C.J. did NOT have their stuff. Well, Duensing getting the pop up was pretty huge, and I think Koji was about to throw up after he gave up the tying run. Thank you Addie, for being clutch when we needed it most. Lets hope Arrieta's pitching return to the park goes better than Koji's did. Stupid Brewers win again but STL lost. There was a rumor before the game that Sonny Gray had been scratched from is start tonight and I was all hopeful we got him, but it was fake news. Tonight was a reminder of what the Cub's say, We Never Quit...which the Oriole's didn't do. That said, my W flag is flying after a week off, and it feels great!... but Fly the W anyways...
