I received notification from http://dvcclosings.com/ that they are having issues with their notary scheduling. It's a shame that the slowest process is now their online notary scheduling which holds up everything. They used to be so good, but I think their are over extending themselves now.

Agree re them over extending. I’m told that Marcelo from www.masontitle.com has just joined them though so hopefully they will speed up again!

Ugh. One seller returned closing docs this week but second seller didn't sign at the same time and still hasn't done so. Seller delays in signing closing documents, for whatever reason, are out of control. You'd think they'd want their money.

Already getting anxious since offer was actually sent middle of night so was accepted very early on 05/01, contract signed deposit sent early. Have not heard anything else yet and today's business day is closed.

I am a new member as well and was so eager to see things moving fast but that has not been my experience so far. Seems like things have slowed down even from when I had started looking at this thread about 2 months ago. So my best advice, *patience*! LOL I know it's hard, but better than being anxious, which I have been at times, so I get it 😜

Hope all goes well for you and you are able to have your points soon!

The issue seems to be their online notary. They are the ones holding up the closing. They have way more closing than the online notary can schedule. I am seeing 14-21 days for them to schedule the notary. The rest of the organizations do a very good job.

Yes. I just found this out first hand as well. Sent our closing documents and wired funds on April 30th and now waiting on the sellers online notary appointment which isn’t until May 15th.

5,507 UPS stores in the US, most open 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, 7 days a week, with the vast majority of them offering notary services at $15 per document (and an extra $10 if you need another employee there to act as a witness).

Don't get me wrong: I'm all for online notaries, but regardless of whether it's my dining room table or a UPS store, I still need to be somewhere at a specific time, so I will opt to do it myself whenever possible. Plus, being on the West Coast, it's easier for me to run into a UPS store on my way home in the afternoon or head over after dinner when it's already 10 pm in Florida and many of the online notaries are gone for the day (although there definitely are some that have hours recognizing us Left Coasties).

Ya, was kinda hoping our seller would go this route instead of this waiting game for the notary appointment. I imagine they want to get paid just as quick as I NEED those points! 🤣

I’m hoping once we do finally close, it doesn’t take forever for the contract to show up on our membership….. or else my plans for next spring won’t be happening 😥( looking at you Boardwalk standard view room )

I know! Same here!! We finally got recorded on 4/29 and I have been looking at the time it usually takes for people to get their points loaded from record date. If we end up being in the average time to get our points loaded, I'd be getting them the day before I need to book our reservation. :scared:
