so ive been to disney for the last 4 years and seen some really crazy stuff(long wait times, large crowds, ect) but i wanna now what kind of crazy stories you have?

Well we went one year around Memorial Day. My husband who is retired Navy, myself and our youngest who was a senior in HS. We are all Disney nuts and were ready for a week of Disney magic. As we walked around MK we noticed a lot of people in red shirts. didn't think anything of it, then we went to Splash Mountain and saw a group of guys in red. As we were checking times my daughter came to me and said, Mom the guy over there has the best shirt, I want a picture of it. So I told her to just go ask if she could take a pic. As i'm sure ya'll have realized by now, it was gay days at MK, the shirt said special shirt $7, ticket to Disney $79, spending the day in MK with my boyfriend Priceless! He was very happy to let her take his pic and his friends thought it was great. Needless to say we laughed about it all week, how she made a guys day by taking his picture. Everyone has their own version of Disney magic, that just gave us a new view of it.

A couple years back, I was riding Pirates of the Caribbean and another person in the boat was taking flash pictures. Some other rider called out rather brusquely, "Turn the camera off!" After the ride ended, Camera-Guy and his wife (with their maybe 8-year-old kid) confronted me in the gift shop, having concluded, erroneously, that *I* was the person who had yelled at them during the ride. Both were quite agitated and I got the distinct impression that Camera-Guy was going to assault me over it. Neither he nor the wife believed my denials. But with their kid standing there, I guess they decided that starting a fistfight was not the way to go. I honestly thought we were only a few seconds away from that, given how loudly Camera-Guy was shouting and the fact that every aspect of his appearance and behavior cried out "fruitcake." (I guess Disney Security had better things to do, since they never showed up.) Eventually they got tired of yelling at me and left.

Oddly, there was a follow-up of sorts just last week. I was riding POTC again, and sure enough, somebody starts taking a long sequence of flash pictures. This time the lights come up, the soundtrack mutes, and a cast member comes on the PA to say, "Attention, pirates, please refrain from flash photography" or words to that effect. Funny stuff... :hyper:

Two years ago in October on my birthday trip my best friend and I were coming off of the El Rio Del Tiempo ride in Mexico. As you exit the ride you walk up this inclined ramp type deal towards the main intrerior of the pyramid structure thing you're inside. Anyway, this kid goes bolting out in front of us and we hear his mom yell "HEY HEY! You want somebody to swipe you?" to which the kid replies "PFFT! I'll swipe you". Needless to say we couldn't contain a little laughter at what the kid had just said to his mom, she didn't like that and yelled "DON'T ENCOURAGE HIM OR I'LL SEND YOU TO MICKEY'S HOSPITAL IN A BODY BAG... IT'S BEEN A LONG F#$%ING DAY!"

Sometimes I wish that kid had been swiped... by a better family. LOL

In Epcot, somewhere near Canada, DH watched a rather large (and probably drunk) guy lie down on the ground and roll from one side of the street to the other.

It seems he always comes across these bizarre and funny happenings. Sometimes I think he just makes this stuff up to see what we'll believe. On the other hand, this one must be true because how can you make something like that up?? :lmao:

There was the time a young teenage daughter standing with her parents waiting at the rope to enter Fantasyland yelled, "Open the f****ing gate!" To which the parents stared blankly ahead.

Last year we watched a guy scale the Mexican temple. He was about half way up and his friends were cheering him on when we passed through Mexico. I don't know if security showed up to make him come down or if he came down on his own. It was really bizarre. Here's a picture I took.

I have a few...but a feel good one is when we had my dd then maybe 4 yrs old in Epcot. We were in world showcase strolling along when we came across a rotund man with a long white beard with a red shirt and suspenders, well, Becky just kind of froze in place for what seemed like an eternity. The man smiled down at her, handed her a card without a word and strolled away. The card said "you hav just met the real Santa Claus". So, I said, "well, I guess Santa liks to vacation in Disney World too!"

Im wondering if you ran into ShanMan. He isregular here on the Disboards. Particulary the camping boards. He IS the real Santa, and hey, even Santa needs to vacation at WDW.....

We were in WDW January last year and in line for Fantasmic some very large teens were yelling at security to let them in so they could sit. They were yelling out obscenities and after everyone was seated and the show started they sat right up front. During the segment when the princesses come out on the floats with Ariel, Belle, and Snow White, they start yelling out "Ariel your so F***ing hot, show us some t**s" They yelled these kinds of things throughout the entire show. The parents said nothing to them, they just laughed along. That is probably the worst behavior I've seen out a human being in WDW. I was embarassed for them.

A few years ago, I was in Epcot, right around Germany.

Two girls appeared, one pretending to be holding a video camcorder and the other one dressed in a silver cap with a chin strap - similar to a "tinfoil" hat, if you know what I mean.

The one girl pretended to film the other girl, who started ranting about how Walt ruined this country, because he took away everyone's part of their brain that controls their own creativity.

Needless to say, I looked around and they had mysteriously disappeared. No doubt there was some secret door where security quickly whisks people away wearing "tinfoil" hats.

last year we walked out of Nemo ride at Epcot and right into the middle of filming for Extreme Home Makeover family at Disney

A couple of years ago we were eating at Peco Bill's, and I was in line at the dressings bar. 2 guys were ahead of me. Now before I go on, those of you who've eaten at PB's know the tomatos are HUGE, with knowing that, there were 4 tomatos left. The first guy sees this looks at man#2 and me and stacks all 4 on his burger. Jokingly I said "wow why not just ask for a whole tomato". 2nd guy chuckles and first guy decides he needs to yell at me telling me it's his right blah blah. After about two minutes of verbal abuse i step toe to toe and nose to nose and said "sorry I couldn't hear you", the guy slinks off tomatos and all..

CM's deserve BIG raises! I think these threads are funny, but if I had to pull some idiot off the Mexican pyramid, round up people in tin foil hats, stop people from harassing the characters, and let's not forget those special few who like to let their children relieve themselves in public, I'd be nuts before lunch.

I would think in an situation like that the CM's should be able to escort them out. That's ruining the show for others.

Even when I was a teenager, I always hated trashy behavior like this.

Aww...I love this one!!!:lovestruc Did you get her reaction on camera? Priceless moment there!

Thats very true, but nothing was done. Whether a CM heard them or not I dont know, but it was definitely a cruddy thing to say thay stuff at all not to mention in front of children.
