Can anyone tell me if the crowd levels are still high the first two weeks of august. Also I am a Canadian and am wondering is there an American holiday in that time frame. I have read that the southern states go back to school early august, I wonder if that has an impact on the crowd levels for early august. Thanks,

Debbie.

We've (almost) always gone the first two weeks of August,
after all our summer activities are over and before school
begins. We have noticed, no matter what time of year
we have gone, the Magic Kingdom and the Animal Kingdom
are always crowded. EPCOT is always pleasant, as is MGM.
School begins in Florida towards the beginning or middle
of August. Our school in PA begins the last week in Aug.
There are no holidays during the 1st two weeks of
August. Advice: visit MK and AK as soon as they open,
and leave by noon, take a rest at your resort if you have
the time, and return to EPCOT or MGM in the evenings (except
the morning you want to ride Test Track-that IS the most
popular ride at EPCOT and they've been known to run out
of Fast Passes by noon).
