thanks to all that answer....we are on the dining plan and our 10 year old daughter is considered an adult eater, except she does not really eat adult food. If she decides to eat off the children's menu (and we pay for it oop) does that mean that we will have an extra TS credit? We are staying for 6 nights, so we have 18 TS credits....so, if she orders off the child's menu, then that would leave us with 6 TS credits, right? What do we do with those? Make more ADRs at other places or use all six to to the Hoop De Doo (which takes 2 TS per person, right?)

Also, if we do do the Hoop De Doo, how does that work for the younger kids? Do we pay OOP for their meals or are they included since we are on the DPP? Thanks for your patience if you've made it this far!

While you are on the dining plan, you can pay any meal OOP if you choose. You can use any of the credits to pay for any meal, there is no distinction between child and adult. Many people pay OOP for a meal so that they can do a 2TS meal.

If you choose to pay OOP for a child's meal, you can use those credits to do 2 TS meals in one day (a character breakfast and a dinner), or signature dining/dinner shows that require 2 TS.

Depending on how much she eats, she can also get an "adult portion" of a kid meal item. In this case, she would be charged as a TS or double the cost of the kid meal if you chose to pay OOP.

At Hoop de doo or other dinner shows, you are charged the appropriate 2 TS for anyone who attends. They are free to under 3, and are 2 TS to everyone else. Check the prices if you have a 9 or under and decide whether to pay OOP or use the plan. Your 10 year old would be charged as an adult.
