Disappointed

You can look at my history. I’ve been on the site a long time. I’m not posting on any other sites. I don’t have a burner name (it would’ve been nice if I did because as people know, I’ve gotten into some pretty decent arguments here). I haven’t discuss this with anybody except for some family members- I have been talking to my DD who just finished her DCP and is home for the summer if it is ethical or not to keep my dreams agent and the single post you quoted.

Was there a double post somewhere? I literally found the other site last night and was up till 4 am reading- and as I’m sure you’re aware that other site is not allowing anybody to currently register.

I haven’t posted about this on Facebook, but I have definitely encourage people to use my travel agent in the past on Facebook. In fact, the only thing I posted on Facebook was frustration last night about signing up for cruise activities while the DCL page was down- then I came here saw some posts and googled and saw that other site and then … well late night.

ETA- I just change my privacy on this site so you can see my history of posts. Enjoy! and you will see I like to edit my post a lot. Eep!
What is the “other site”? I am unfamiliar with some of the terminology but have seen people also reference “TL” or “TL boards” and I’m not sure what that is. I have a dreams agent who is actively assisting with an incoming trip, and I want to understand more about the allegations so I can determine how to move forward with dreams. I want to be able to read directly
What Sean and Dustin have put out.

13. INFRACTIONS
The DIS guidelines are an important part in keeping the site family friendly. While the majority of our visitors abide by our rules, there are times when problems develop. In order to handle these issues consistently and fairly, we have developed an infraction system.

As you can see, the infractions have different point values. The majority of offenses will result in a warning via private message accompanied by infraction points which will expire according to schedule. Providing that you do not accumulate more points during that time, no further action should be needed. The more serious violations will result in additional penalties or an immediate banning.

If you do incur an infraction, you will be notified. If you wish to question or appeal this decision, please keep in mind that your correspondence is subject to the same regulations. At any time you may contact the board administration at admin@wdwinfo.com.

There may be times where a situation develops that is not covered in our infraction system. For those cases we reserve the right to take whatever action is needed in order to ensure that our guidelines are followed.

Where do we see “bad” points? I think I had a few posts deleted in thread because I didn’t speak too highly of Pete. I don’t exactly hold back on my opinion of him.

Maybe this is obvious but would you say significantly more people were banned from this forum versus the others?
Definitely not. I don’t remember many at all. Points? Sure, but I still feel it was not a huge issue here.

At least in my day, mods would send you a private message if you received points. I also would do so if a post was removed but don’t think that’s the norm.

What Sean and Dustin have put out.
if you find the site, there are multi threads (each are numbered).
You'll figure out who Sean and Dustins handles are (inititally, dustin was posting via Sean copying+pasting because he couldn't get an account set up).

Also, they posted screenshots of what JL has to say about all this (she replied to people in the comments of a recent instagram post. I suppose you can go there also as well).

Im being vague because i guess despite what's going on, you still have to walk on eggshells.

Oh I have read that and all the others...but you said starting today it gets worse. Just wondering whats worse?
i think the "worse" part is expanding on things over the course of the threads on that other site. He answers peoples questions as the days have gone on.

Those threads are kind of a time suck, so you need to carve out time to go through all of them.

(mind you, i dont agree with their takes on the Dis content-wise. I kind of love Ryno/Craig being the face of the shows more-so lately).

via JL's insta:

Pt. 1: Hi, tonyz119 🙂Instagram isn’t allowing me to reply to anyone on my previous post, so I have to respond to you this way.

Your question is a tricky one because it is hard to answer without speaking for others, but I am going to give it a try. Whatever my take, though, it isn’t the primary issue. The information that is already out there should be enough for everyone to decide what they are going to support, enable, and fuel moving forward. If anyone says that it isn’t, I’m not sure that what’s left will be enough anyway. Everyone in the brand community participated in something that helped elevate and enable someone who hurt others. That part has been spoken. I think we should really be more concerned with how to respond to that. Participation at this point sends a message, and I hope everyone can reflect on the message their participation will send.

Following that disclaimer, I’ll say my part. I had suspicions. First, I am a woman, and I was generally not considered unfortunate-looking at that time. It didn’t happen much, but once or twice Dustin was “bold” with his compliments and glances. It was not the behavior of a gay man. I am in no way implying he was inappropriate. What I am saying is that in those fleeting moments there was a vibe that most women would recognize as attraction. I found it weird and hoped I was just having a good hair day, but it raised a flag.

Second, I noticed Dustin seemed uncomfortable whenever the relationship was mentioned. Additionally, he started drinking at work sometimes. And on some trips, he started drinking the second we would board a plane to leave and kept it going until we got back. I grew up in an alcoholic home, so I know behavior like that often comes from deep pain.

To be continued....

Pt: 2 Third, I heard stories before and after I left (not necessarily from the current team). The community is full of fans and clients, and gossip is a currency. But I also saw things. People came and went from the company. Who is to say that some of them didn’t attempt to reach out and say, “Hey, bro! Do you need a life preserver” before they suddenly disappeared? Because, ya know, I heard stories about that too.

I didn’t know if anything I heard was true. It’s hard to be sure when no one is giving a first-hand account. I’m not even clear if it is appropriate to say anything until a victim feels they can handle it. It's a question I'll be asking a therapist. So did I hear things? Yes. Was I definitively told this was a consensual relationship? I’m not sure that I ever asked because it was implied. Do I regret not having a better handle on how to intervene? Without a doubt!

Regardless of my take, we have people right now ringing first-hand alarms on center stage. In my opinion, that is what needs attention. We all had a seat in the community. Maybe it was as an event attendee. Maybe it was as a fundraiser volunteer. Maybe the seat was on the other side of YouTube or directly in the studio. Did we see something and dismiss it as a good hair day? It’s a good question to ask, but the more important question is what are we going to do with this information we have now? It’s more than speculation at this point, and *its* seat is in our lap. My $.02.

Point counts are not visible to you anywhere that I know of to see how many you have or dates
At least in my day, mods would send you a private message if you received points. I also would do so if a post was removed but don’t think that’s the norm.
Points came a number of years after my couple years, 2000-2002, as a moderator on the community board. I too would send a PM to a poster if I was deleting a post, moving it or copying it to an additional forum.

When I have received points since points have been around, I have always received a PM from whomever was passing them out. But no place to keep count other than a Post-It note by my keyboard with count and date/s. When I have had posts or threads deleted, I have only had a PM from one of the moderators., not from others. Post or thread would just be 'gone'.

Love to hear from a moderator if there was some ten commandments type edict that started with "thou shalt never criticize Pete"

Why do so many people have 113 points? Is that the cap?
I was just looking to see if there was a place to see where points are for another poster and came across this in my profile. I have 113 “points,” but when I click on it, they are “trophy points.” I have no idea what those are and don’t remember them from years ago. Looks like it relates to how many posts/likes you get, but they’re not the same as if you went against posting guidelines and got consequence points.

Yes. And it’s not exactly new information, interesting it took a month for it to appear here or be acknowledged, sort of. Stuff was posted there as early as June (if not earlier). It’s a lot…

I cant remember how I found it, but Seans video about leaving Moving To Orlando, where he names that website was posted 11 months ago.

It was from Seans video that I found the other site and I have been following the posts for about 10 months.

Even longer than I thought! So not exactly a secret.
The first thread on that site was created in 2020 and lasted until June 2022. Seans friends found either the first or second thread and told him about it. He made the video in response to what was being said about him and then started posting in the threads.
