They also offer this couples room complete with everything. I asked about the price and she said that I had to book the treatments. But I imagine that you're required to purchase some more expensive treatments to get it. I can only imagine what it will end up running you for a couple of hours there, but that should be really neat for a couple in a honeymoon or just a short getaway from the kids.

This is the teen area, it was really dark in there and with a color explosion going on.

I also want to point out that the entire staff is there to make you feel like you're the only person aboard that ship. Disney service is on a league of their own, I think this is the cruise were I really noticed the least amount mistakes done. And the entire cruise was full of smiles and friendly staff, this is the way a cruise should be!

We also never noticed them pushing sales on us, it felt very much like Celebrity. The product is there for you to buy it, but they will never push you into it. They will just offer you the information you need to make an informed decision. Nicely done Disney!

Really good pics; what date did you sail?

The food in the Buffet of the Allure has nothing on the food of the Dream. I mean it is by no means bad food, but it is just not comparison. I actually found the area itself to be more quiet in comparison to the dream. I think mostly because of the amount of kids vs adults in the area.

Thanks so much for the reply. We love the seafood section of the buffet, on the Fantasy they have the crab legs instead of the claws when we went, and you can ask for melted butter, tastes so good.

Your pictures are beautiful

No problem. I actually thought that some melted butter was really missing there. Good to know that you can ask for it.

I took these on the way to the atrium, this is the connecting corridor between the Animators Palate and The Atrium. That corridor is just amazing, specially when it was empty in that manner. I really enjoyed how bright it was with all those huge portholes running through it.

By the way for those of you wondering how this effect is created. It is a feature of the Sony RX100, it is called the Illustration effect. So far this the only camera that has this effect, but I am hoping that Sony integrates this future into more future cameras.

After the spa tour we decided to go and verify that we had a table for ourselves during dinner. So we went to the Royal Palace to confirm that. I took some pictures around that area, it is right by the Atrium.

This guy was great! they had him in the adult pool area on several occasions. He was my favorite musician on the ship.

After verifying that we had a private table, we decided to go to the adult area before our room open. Rooms would be available at around 1:30pm and I needed to drop off my very heavy backup that was full of drinks :D.

These two were taken on the way to the adult area.

There is a really cool art gallery right before the District, they have some incredible art. I fell in love with several pieces. The prices range from $100-$3200, with the average around $500.

After that we went to the D Lounge this is where they host several events like bingo or dance classes. The venue is one of the larger ones on the ship and has a very neat concept. Unfortunately we never really went there for any event.

For anyone who is curious about cameras, this picture was taken with the RX100. Here you can really see the monster that she is. She will never yield the results of the NEX system with the zeiss lens in food pictures and portraits, but then again she costs lens than half of that nex setup and results like this picture cant be ignored. Just a very nice picture in a poorly lit environment. I will like to add that the RX100 has the most intelligent software I have used. If the NEX camera was as intelligent as the RX she would be so much nicer and easier to use. I highly recommend the RX100, I cannot say enough good things about her.

A short video of the area.

After that we kept on walking towards The District, this area is composed of several bars. It has a rather odd design sort of compartmentalized. Personally I did not like this area, it is too dark and it lacked the oceanviews that I love so much. Fortunately for me I never had a hard time finding quiet places aboard the ship. But yeah overall it was not my favorite area, simply put is too dark for my personal taste. However I am sure many will enjoy it and find its isolation from the other areas a benefit when looking for some relaxing adult time.

Keep in mind I am bouncing flash here, this area is very dark!

Pink is the champagne bar, and you're supposed to feel like you're in a bottle with bubbles. Nice little venue.

This is just crazy I am having a hard time figuring out which pictures are from the RX and which are the NEX. If the RX had a longer zoom, stronger flash and better Macro I think I would only travel with her. The RX does struggle on food pictures and she only has a 4x zoom.

Anyway enough about cameras, this is the club. They have it open at some times for family events, and I think later on at night it is just for adults. I remember walking there once and there where a lot of kids dancing gnagnam Style. On another occasion they had a sort of meeting for adults, I think a sales conference or something like that. Our muster was in here as well, a very nice place to be locked away from all the exits in an emergency. I absolutely have when my muster locations are in environments with no windows. But I guess they know what they are doing and I should just trust them and let them do their jobs.

After the quick tour in the adult area, it was time to finally see our amazing room, so we headed that way. Our room was incredible, I loved the split bathroom layout and it really worked very well for us. The room also follows a Disney decor that is sure to please everyone. The bed was very nice and soft, the pillows were great as well. Although Sarah complained that the sofa bed was rather hard and out steward brought a egg-crate mattress for the reminding nights. He also did a great job with everything, while not the fastest we had, he was very efficient took a lot of attention to detail. This is the cruise that I had the most towel animals of any cruise and it was only a 3 day cruise.

Our balcony you ask well it was incredible, it was actually larger than the breakaway one, and the pole gave it character. I actually took a lot of pictures with the pole, it was really neat.

I would dare to say that this is the best room that I have ever cruised on!

Here is the room tour video, just click on the small picture.

I hope everyone enjoys it :D

And now the picture tour.

The shower is rather low, tall folks might have an issue here. I believe Sarah bumped her head when exciting the bathroom once. That is kind of a pattern that I noticed in the ship, rather low ceilings.

You can see an ashtray there, but Disney just now banned smoking on the balconies. So just keep that in mind.

I guess this is a great time to talk about the TV system. They only offer a few channels and they are all Disney owned, so nothing very interesting there. Their tv system really shines with their free on demand movies. They offer all the Disney movies ever made, it is just incredible. The best thing is that the TV system recalls the movies and the time you stopped watching it so you can come back and continue watching your movie. I was very happy with the TV system on the Disney Dream, this has to be my favorite cruise TV system ever! Although the TV could be a little larger.

The mini fridge is empty when come in so that is a good thing. We immediately loaded it with all our drinks =)

From our balcony.
DisneyDreamday1-168_zps62a49cd5.jpg

For some reason I noticed that the sensation was nearly empty! Really there was like no one aboard that ship. At some point I thought the ship was just there and not leaving port that day. I think Carnival is having a hard time selling this older ships. When I drive to work I hear a carnival commercial almost every time. I think if you're a Florida resident you can board for around $160 for 3 days. I really like the adult area on that class of ships and how it faces the aft of the ship. Nicely done Carnival.

Our room also came with a small pool, I think it was designed for children ;-). Needless to say Gambee much more water to relax!
