Disney100 Special Look video released on YouTube for Independence Day:
Josh D’Amaro notices chipped paint as he passes by the entrance to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
“It bugs me, absolutely bugs me,” he says.
One could take from the article that is exactly what he is doing. This fact bothers him? Paint chipping?
Maybe Mr. D'Amaro needs to talk to the guy in charge of the Parks division about focusing on upkeep and maintenance, rather than complain and be bothered about routine wear and tear.
I feel like if D'Amaro went to Tokyo Disneyland, the only lesson he would take from the experience would be to introduce uncharges for parade spots and seats for shows. This fact bothers him? Paint chipping?

My recommendation to Mr. D'Amaro is to spend at least a month at Tokyo Disneyland and observe the attention to detail to maintenance and upkeep that the OLC emphasizes and learn.
I totally understand your take. It isn't wrong. The problem here, for me, is that good leadership not only has a good plan to deliver premium results for the guest, it hires competent people to carry out the plan every single day.One could take from the article that is exactly what he is doing.
oh yeah, I get your point. But around where I live, trying to hire "competent people to carry out the plan everyday" is about 120 times harder than it was 15 years ago. Glad I am not in Human Resources!I totally understand your take. It isn't wrong. I will blame Bob Chapek.

This still seems like it's something you'd put in as the que leading to a real attraction...
Does the Imagination Pavilion really fit within the World of Nature? It's long past time the Pavilion got a refurbishment... the ride, theater and works are all badly outdated and under used.
So, is the World of Water part of Nature or Celebration. From this map it looks like Celebration as you can clearly see Communicore West that it replaces in the blue shaded area. The Imagination Pavillion is actually part of World Celebration - it will connect better once Communicore Plaza is complete.
