This will be a problem for some people who change their flights to get a better price and need an extra night before or after their stay. A lot of DVC guests like to book a cash room for that one night. Guess Disney would rather they stay offsite.

We've done this often either to accommodate a flight change or when we decided to extend our stay by one night but were not able to extend our package by one night. Could be troublesome for many.

D23 Gold Members Can Receive Disney Genie+ for FREE on October 19

According to an email sent out to D23 Gold Members, Disney will be offering Disney Genie+ for free on October 19 – the day that it launches. A limited supply of complimentary Disney Genie+ add-ons will be offered to D23 Gold Members who have a valid theme park reservation for October 19 and register. Registration opens October 14 at 1pm EST.

If you have 4000 Disney movie reward points (now Disney movie insider) you can use it to purchase a gold membership which lasts for a year.

In a new email to Passholders, Disney says, "Enjoy a theme parade, stage show and fireworks show." The email doesn't name a show, but "Mickey's Most Merriest" was introduced in 2016 as the new castle stage show for holiday party nights and would seem to be the obvious choice.

Yay!! We will be there tomorrow. I'll definitely be looking for all of the returning entertainment. We were in Epcot today and caught Alberta Bound playing in Canada. We were leaning up against the railing by the lagoon and we could watch all of the people walking by. It was so heartwarming watching the reaction of the guests as they were playing. From toddlers to seniors and everything in between people were so into it and just clapping and dancing along. And yes, I started crying. What a sap!!

Referral Incentive For First-Time Buyers

First time buyers are currently eligible for a $500 discount on the purchase of 150 or more points at select resorts if referred by an existing DVC member. This incentive can be combined with promotions launched back in September, which currently offer a $5 per-point discount for 150 points Disney's Riviera Resort and $10 off at Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas.
