Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

I see so many positive things about BWI CL. How does it compare to the MK area CLs? I'm a sucker for good service! Although it looks like the BWI:flower1:
My most recent stay at BWI was back in the Cat Cora restaurant era, so I can't comment on food, but we've stayed at all the CL's over time.

Both areas (MK vs. BC) have something positive to offer. It depends how you tour, and as we recently learned - the park hours. We'd taken for granted summer= MK until 11pm, fireworks at 10pm. Last month, MK closed at 10pm, fireworks at 9pm. Big UGH! No walking to/from MK after dinner. No watching MK fireworks from the CR lounge after 7pm dinner.

A very significant part of the value of CR was removed, in our opinion.

So I say with a little caveat that the advantage of the Epcot area CL's is easy walking access to both HS +Epcot. When the new Toy Story rides open in summer of 2018, HS will be popular!

Epcot isn't quite as popular as it used to be. Tiered FP, + Illuminations by far the oldest fireworks have hurt it.

Pool at BWI is nice. Of the WDW pools, it is deeper than most. The slide is fun. I liked the room décor and room layout when we were there, but as I said, it was a while ago. BWI is large. It didn't help that our room was the very furthest one! CR Tower is very compact as WDW resorts go, and all in one building= BIG plus , IMO. GF and Poly are in between. Except for GF main building the rest of the room at both GF and Poly are in out-buildings. Many folks don't mind, but we prefer the more compact layout. WL and AKL have their own structure (both are similar) but both of are somewhat compact. Compact =saves time.

In the Epcot area, our first choice is BC. Super staff, great pool, great food, and great layout! I always though we'd like BWI better.

Update on my rescheduled trip - WL CL opened up this morning. Didn't take me long to pull the trigger and upgrade from the standard WL room. Looking forward to that draft lounge beer I read about here a couple of weeks ago!!

It seemed that a lot of cancellations must have come in this morning. I saw a lot more availability across the board than I did yesterday.

Congrats on getting CL! Hope you have a great trip :wizard:.

We check in to the WL CL in 2 weeks. So excited!

:yay: :yay:

We never stayed CL before... our first trip is coming at Yacht. I know for other resorts, we do on-line check-in, when we arrive we get texted with room and map, and go... With CL I keep reading about special check-in area, etc. Do we need to do that? Can we just wait for the text and go to our room directly? Is there any benefit of going to the CL check-in area?

It's nice to check in with CL staff if you have any questions upon arrival, but you don't have to if you do online check in. If you do OCI and opt not to check in at the designated CL desk, I think your MB will work on the elevator to get up to the CL floor, but I'm not positive. Hopefully someone will verify that or correct me if I'm wrong :).

@mickeyluv'r , THANK YOU for your thorough reply! A lot to think about!

I've asked (several!!!) questions about the MK area resorts (staying GF SL in a few months and have a WL CL res for holiday 2018), but I see so many positive things about BWI CL. How does it compare to the MK area CLs? I'm a sucker for good service! Although it looks like the BWI rooms need some refurbishments? Thank you so much in advance! :flower1:
We just returned from BWI CL yesterday. We had an amazing stay. Our room was nice, in good shape. The lounge offerings were first rate, especially in the evening. I was sort of thinking of booking Yacht Club next year, but after our latest experience we will go back to BWI CL.

Cool. Thank you!!

You're welcome :).

Just returned from a WL CL stay 9/4-9/9. We got out at noon on Saturday. First off the CMs were fabulous at helping out with all the Irma modifications. Even though we left on our regularly scheduled flight, we wanted to get to the airport early. We were unable to get an earlier ME but they gave us a cab voucher instead. They also helped us extend our reservation on Friday, should we not get out on Saturday. We just called them from the airport to cancel. While I am sure they were worried about their own homes, they ran a smooth ship that helped ease travelers nerves. Bravo and I hope they are all safe today.

I will post more of an update later. I am buried in work at work. Boo to the real world. Quick notes, the beer selection changed in the lounge, we had turndown every night with no request, we had mostly the same toiletries as was just posted about CR Atrium, but we got new toiletries if they were removed from the tray when housekeeping came in.

Had a great but hot trip. More later.

Sure does look like from Hawaii, Garden View side, towards the end of the building (opposite the lounge), right? http://www.wdwinfo.com/news-stories...o-walt-disney-world-after-hurricane-irma/amp/

I guess those rooms will have an improved Oasis Pool view, although at the expense of that nice tree.
I'm pretty sure that's the one. The room that looked right out at that tree is my family's favorite garden view Hawaii room. Best trip memory ever is of kids (very young at the time) playing around that tree while we were on the patio and in the room.

We had that view from the first floor of our first ever CL stay. The things I remember from that trip was discovering Phinneas and Ferb and just chilling out on the balcony-so peaceful

After much debate (and weeks of stalking AP rates) we officially switched our reservation for the end of this month to BWI CL. I am so excited, we have only ever stayed CL at AKL and I'm excited to try something new. My husband loves AKL, but I'm hoping the proximity to Food and Wine is enough to make him overlook no animals and a creepy clown pool! I think I've looked through 500 pages in this thread, thank you everyone for your reviews and pictures...I can't wait to meet some of the CM's made famous on this board.

You will love it! The location is unbeatable for F&W. Just make sure to save time for some of the amazing offerings in the CL! (BTW, I am terrified of clowns, but the Oasis pool is great.) Have fun!! :)

We are staying Club Level at Yacht Club this Nov. We have stayed at Beach Club many times but never Club Level. Any opinions on Yacht Club offerings?

Congrats on the change, hope you have a great time! We've never stayed BWI CL, but it's one CL that gets great reviews :goodvibes.

Any suggestion for GF RPC standard room request. It will be our first time at RPC in December :dogdance:

I don't have a specific room and I think any room/view at the GF is great, but my favorite view is one overlooking the beach pool/lagoon with the Poly in the distance (although a room overlooking the courtyard is nice as well). The lounge is on the 4th floor, so if you want to be on the same floor as the lounge, you can request 4th floor. RPC is a great CL (IMO), hope you have a great time :wizard:.

I can't offer any opinions as we've never stayed YC CL, but wanted to say I hope you have a great trip :).

Stayed at AKL Savannah View Club (not DVC) from 8/29-9/01. We were not greeted on arrival, but we were very early. Grumpy front desk lady escorted us upstairs, where Sue took great care of us. We were given a goody bag, which contained a welcome letter and some granola from the Ganachery. Food offerings were plentiful. Some were mediocre and some were delicious (special shout out for the muffins and the soup!). The breakfast offering repeated every two days. There was a obnoxiously loud kid repeatedly complaining to cast members during appetizer service on our first night (the food was not out on time), but other than that, the other guests were quite pleasant to be around. We received turn down service on the first night (not requested), but declined it for the other two nights. Chocolate was not included with turn down. The room did not have robes or slippers. The room did not have any additional or premium toiletries. Every CL cast member that we encountered was pleasant and extremely helpful. We had no problem with any requests, and drinks were offered to us on several occasions. The animals were amazing. They loved hanging out below our balcony. We had a lovely time, but we will probably try a different hotel next time (maybe BWI).

We stayed at YC in early May. I was very impressed with the offerings this trip. They were quite a bit better than they have been for years. Breakfast has added cold meats like turkey, ham, salmon or roast beef. Also more variety of mini muffins & bread for toasting. There was always cut watermelon, cantaloupe & a mixed berry bowl. The evening hot items were pulled pork with polenta; chicken skewers with mixed grains & dipping sauce; roast beef with mashed potatoes; fried mac & cheese bites; mini pigs in a blanket & a salmon with lentils dish. There were always 2 hot items & 4 cold. Cold items included a mushroom stuffed phyllo cup; seared tuna; caprese salad; Brussels sprout slaw; mixed olive salad; loaded potato salad & a shrimp dish. Some of the cold things were pre-plated on those little spoon shaped plates, some were serve yourself. And there is always cheese, crackers, crudités & dip & a pb& j cup with rolls. The desserts were mostly the same every day, but 1 or 2 items varied daily. Always small cupcakes, cookies, a bar cookie & a pudding/ moose type dessert. I think there were at least 6 or 7 different items daily. Afternoon is only snacks like yogurt covered pretzels, gummy candies & cookies.

We don't drink, so I can't comment on adult beverages. These are some of what I remembered & like I said, everything was a big improvement over the last several years & we have been staying club level for over 15 years. Enjoy! YC is our favorite resort!
