Just a question. Does anyone think it is worth spending the points for an extra night at a resort. What I mean is, if your trip is booked for like a Thursday through Sunday, is it worth it to spend the extra points to come down the night before so that you have a full day on Thursday. Or do would it be better to catch an early flight and save the points.

So many other questions before I'd answer yours-- what your transit time is, travel party preferences, how often you visit, objectives for the trip, rope drop to close vs partial days, etc. We are flying to DLR in a few weeks, and as east coasters with an early morning flight and the previously mentioned little kids, we'll just do resort stuff on arrival day-- too long a day already to tack on park time, so we're blowing the points at VGC a day early to make the most of park time the rest of our stay. WDW is a totally different game for us, as we're passholders and usually drive instead of fly. YMMV!
