Fall 2008 PIs

I have my ops management interview (FINALLY!!) on wednesday morning at 8:40 am.

I was given the time window of 8:20am to 4:00pm

Break a Leg everyone!

Um, what in the world is a "time window"? Does that mean they might call you any time between those times? Or is it going to be a 8 hour interview? LoL! Just curious!

Good Luck to everyone interviewing!!

I have my conservation biology interview on thursday!!! wish me luck

we got to pick a time, but those were the only times offered.

because i'm student teaching, I have to do mine on my twenty minute lunch break, which makes me very nervous! I hope it doesn't hurt my chances.

They said that the interviews only last 15 minutes or so. You should be fine!

For those of us that are aiming for the F&B Mgmt position, here's something I found out today that might interest you... The lady in charge is on vacation until next Monday. I asked to talk to someone else, but was informed she was the only one that handles F&B and was told to leave a message and she would get back to me sometime after April 7th. This totally bites.

F&B interviews are April 10th and 11 right? I'm sure she'll call you back first thing monday morning. She is really helpful.

So, I just finished my interview. I think it went well--I tried my best! And that's all we can do. The interviewers were SOOOOOOOOO nice and personable. I really hope I get it because I would love to be able to work with them. They sounded like so much fun! They also answered all of my questions. It went by very quickly and I was surprised. They also didn't ask as many questions as I thought, but they did ask some that required a lot of thought. It lasted about 30-35 minutes. Also, they said they (this particular department) would be probably making their decision by the end of the week/the end of next week.

Hopefully this helps someone out. :) Good luck to everyone! Hopefully we will all be successful in this process of going for a PI!

I know that is when they tried to schedule mine. However, I am not available I will be out of state and Sandy was supposed to call me back in hopes that I could do it another day but haven't heard anything back, hence why I called her earlier.

What internship/department did you interview for??? This is all starting to get so exciting and nerve racking at the same time!

Well I just had my second interview with ops management. I think it went well, I had two men interviewing me. They asked me about 6 questions. They said we would hear by the beginning of next week if we got the position or not.

Just had my second interview for Ops Management. I think it went really well, but I'm not trying to get too confident.

7 questions

1) Tell us about yourself
2) Why do you want to be an ops manager
3) What motivates you?
4) Tell us about a time you worked in a diverse team
5) Tell us about a time you worked to make change
6) Tell us about a time you were unable to make a deadline
7) What do you hope to gain from this internship?

I asked a few questions and then it was over.

Does anyone have Dawn Kidd's email? I wanted to send a thank you note and can't find it anywhere on the HUB.

PM me if you do

for those who have been interviewing, do you know which specific departments were interviewing you?

I just had my Operations Management interview. I think it went well(ish). I never feel very good about an interview unless they tell me at the end whether or not I got the position, lol. It was two men and they were nice. They kinda stuck to their script for the first part of the interview, but then it got more conversational when I got to ask some questions. Anyways, I guess we'll know next week!

Just finished mine too...they said they would let me know next week....i thought it went ok...were those two guys interviewing for all of the management ops positions? All thats left is to wait...was anyone else told anything else at the end other than we'll let you know either way next week???

Yup, We'll find out sometime next week. I don't know if they are going to let us know if we didn't get the position or not.

Did you have two guys...one from epcot-one from AK...if so does that mean they are only considering us for those two parks...good luck as this is the final stretch!!!

I have a general question to those currently living outside of FL.

Do you think the internships pay enough for us to successfully move down there? That's a big question at the back of my mind.

I have a quick question--

Did anyone here apply for Management Sports Complex or Magic Kingdom Human Resources...Has anyone had a second interview for them?

So I got a call today from the ticketing department wanting to set up an interview for tomorrow (Thursday) for the Ticketing Specialist internship. And I have an interview next thursday for the rooms & related management internship.

I applied for Sports Complex management PI, that is the only one I have not heard from. I wonder if they are behind or if they already made their calls. I didn't apply for MKHR so I don't know about that one.
