I love to read trip reports and by now I've already annoyed all my friends and family talking about this vacation so I decided to give it a try here. This is also my first time ever posting on DIS.
A little about me: I'm Brazilian (sorry about my not-so-good English, it's not my first language), 25 years old and I currently live in NYC. I adore anything Harry Potter related and am looking forward to Diagon Alley and Hogwarts Express as they weren't ready yet last time I went. I've traveled solo a lot of times and I absolutely love being able to do things on my own rhythm and my own priorities but this will be the first time I go solo to a theme park and I'm pretty excited about it.
A little background: I went to Orlando for the first (and only) time in 2013 with my mother and childhood friend (we've been friends since we were 5) and I tried to squeeze in everything. We stayed at a Disney hotel and went to Disney parks for 4 days, Universal for 2 days, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens one day each. I had every step planned as I tried to fit everything into our tight schedule and even though we had an amazing time I still feel like we ended up not doing anything properly as we were always running to next thing and we definitely didn't enjoy the Universal parks as much as we should have because we went there on the last couple days and were all already exhausted and in a bad mood.
I went to California with my dad in 2014 and we went to Universal Studios Hollywood and I didn't really plan anything besides going on rides because that's all my dad cares about and I'm a thrill seeker too so it worked out great and it was a more relaxed day than our trip to Orlando.
Even though I haven't been back since then I kept reading trip reports, watching vlogs and travelling through other people vacation. But now it's time to go back!
When: I'll arrive in Orlando in the morning of August, 22 and will leave on August, 28 afternoon. I'll stay at Sapphire Falls and it'll be my first time on a on-site hotel (a lot of first times on this trip). I wanted to stay on the new hotel and since I don't think I'll need EP, I decided to do it.
Which parks: I learned from my mistakes and decided to slow down. I'm not going to Disney this time. I bought AP for Universal (I already have other trips planned there until next year) and will use one day to go to Busch Gardens. I'm allowing a lot of time to enjoy the pools and explore the hotels and CityWalk.
Why solo? Because I want to explore everything on my own without worrying about what the others want to do. I enjoyed a lot all my other solo trips and I'm quite sure I'll love this one too.
Sorry about the lack of pictures, I don't have any right now, maybe I'll post some later
