If you have an existing reservation at an eligible resort and you have already added a dinning plan, are you able to modify your reservation to take advantage of the free dining plan?
I haven't been on the boards today, so I have fallen about 100 pages behind. I'm not even going to attempt to catch up for once.
I was just wondering what families of 5-6 decided to if you didn't get your resort of choice? We were going to do AoA, but that obviously didn't work out. It was expensive, but the resort is just, wow!
We considered AsMu suites or 2 rooms at POP, but I just felt it wasn't worth the money. We thought about staying offsite, too. Eventually we decided for as much as it costs now - going from POR to getting bumped out of that category - maybe we would just go every other year instead. If we change our minds, we'll stay offsite, but I don't think we will.
Still keeping our eyes open for future offers.... guess I'll have to obsess about something else for a while. By the time we get back, I have a better shot of my youngest being 40 inches though!
I would hope so! I've never booked a Disney vacation before, but I have worked in marketing, and for/with Disney in sales before, and I've never seen such a mess! If they wanted to create a frenzy, they sure did.
I had not seen any POR dates pop up at all, all day and I've been trying non-stop. You would know, just come take a look at my messy home and ask my kids!
Another Aussie here hoping that the AUD$ recovers before our December trip. We will be at WL 8th to 15th so no FD for us but our TA got us a great RO discount.
After rambling on, moaning and complaining and gettign some nasty pm's....my TA came through for me Sorry for being upset and discouraged and for those who sent me the nasty pm's..and you know who you are...I'm not sorry. She got me Nov 10 as room only with discount...183.00 and FD the 11 - 17. A whopping big savings of $1025.00!! Now holding on to hope that disney will let us stay in the same room when we check out on the 11th and check back in....
And we had a chat...I explained my frustration and she knew all about it and said it was fine...that she had hundreds of clients that she was busy with and she apologized for the lack of communications.
Has anyone that booked yesterday morning not received a confirmation email or updated MDE? It has been 24hr. I had planned to call this morning but my phone just took a fall and the screen is shattered! ahhh
Well over six hours on hold yesterday, and yet here I am at 7 am, in the same exact spot, listening to the same exact music. It's like that scene in Groundhog Day...
(On a lighter note, I think the trolley song and the bug version of Beauty and the Beast were the low points of the hold music loop.)

Quick! What should I do!!!! Yesterday I was going to switch resorts to CBR Pirate room to get FD, about an hour later my TA emailed me to tell me there was no avail at POR for FD or RO for preferred rooms. I had already emailed her to switch to CBR. When she emailed FD was gone at CBR, but RO was still avail. I asked her to please try and get RO, it was avail at 8pm. She emailed me at 9pm and said she couldn't get it. I am online now and they are avail. Should I book these myself and just cancel my reservation through the TA? I know I will probably lose my dining reservations, I'm guessing probably the PL reservation I have. Will she also return my MNSSHP tickets and I'll have to repurchase? TIA! The only thing I'm really nervous about is losing the PL reservation, cause it was hard to get an appt 180 days out!
My MDE updated instantly yesterday, however you do have to look at the old site to see the dining, but have not received an email confirmation yet. I'm going to call if I haven't receive it by noon. I booked at 9am yesterday so that gives them more then 24 hrs to send it. You can also tell if its been applied if you still have a balance owing, it would reflect the amount the CM would've told you on the phone.
