Freezing bread dough

Hi everyone, I have a quick question...

I'm assuming this can be done, because you can buy frozen dough and it still works...so, I'm making potato rolls for Thanksgiving, but we are going to be going over an hour away. I'd like to make everything up and have them ready to stick in the oven, so they are hot for dinner. Can I make it all, and freeze them after the first rise?

You guys are so good at all this, I'm hoping someone knows...

That's how I do and I've never had a problem! As they thaw, they'll rise a second time and then they'll be ready for the oven! I am going to do this tonight, in fact, for our trip home for Thanksgiving!
 
What a relief...I wish I had come back to the boards sooner...I would have made the dough today as well!!
