FYI For your Autistic child in the pool

I had my HFA DD of 7 wander away from me while I was trying on shoes at Sears once. I was surprised to hear my named paged to come to another department. Upon arriving, I found my DD standing there looking terrified.

I smiled at her and asked her what happened where upon she started to cry and yell at me for leaving her. I had been sitting in the same seat for over 15minutes.:confused3

Does anyone else have this issue with thier child with HFA? When my DD gets scared she immediately reacts as if someone has purposely done some wrong to her.
